Guy with coaching experience > Guy with zero coaching experience

Well let’s be real it absolutely is risky, but it’s as risky as driving and ending up in an accident. Is there a risk of an accident while driving? Absolutely but it’s low and nobody is gonna not drive to avoid a possible accident.

Lmao it’s less risky than hiring the podcaster

Carlisimo is not the greatest resource to cite and the two success stories cited in the article never won a championship in the NBA.

  6. Taking a coach with zero experience was risky and yet they still did that. Happy we get someone with experience.

He described Hurley as everything Ham wasn’t.

I can’t say I’m not liking everything about our next head coach.

The sub seems happy but given that it’s the Lakers either the stars or the fans will be whining and crying about the coach in 2 years.

I wish the Lakers could be the team who cares about developing good players but the fanbase is just too impatient for that and management is into using stars as a quick fix for 1. selling tickets 2. trying to win championships (yes in that order)

I don’t see the risk honestly if there was any I mean at this point what do the Lakers have to lose

This guy could be a major piece in rebuilding a dynasty. We can’t just reload on stars anymore. He has the opportunity to develop at the highest level. I hope he takes the challenge.
