Do you guys want D’lo back this summer?

If only this D’lo showed up to the playoffs man 😭

Yes. Losing him for nothing is terrible asset management, we don’t open cap-space and we wouldn’t even get to the full MLE.

Hopefully we can sign him to something like a 3 year $20M/year deal. Even if you dislike D’lo that’s good value given the rising cap and his regular season production

  2. Theoneandonlylog

I’d like for him to opt in then get traded

  3. BizzyHaze

Only on a team-friendly deal, we need his salary for a trade.

  4. INeverSleeep

Unless we can trade him for a worthy upgrade, absolutely. Feel like Hurley can maximize him schematically too if we get him

  5. __john_cena__

It depends on what the other moves are. I don’t want to see him and Reaves as the starting backcourt again.

But if it’s him next to two plus perimeter defenders, or him as 6 man, he can still be valuable.

  6. LudwigNasche

I want him to opt in.

I wouldn’t give him another contract.

  7. incredibleamadeuscho

Yes, I think DLo should be kept. He will help in the regular season and still can be traded down the line.

  8. ChrisRhodes789

We need him for asset management purposes..so yes.. then hopefully we have a trade lined up that same day/week..

    But don’t get it twisted..

D’Lo isn’t a championship level player at all..

  9. jobeeeeeeem

It’s up to DLo if he wants to opt in or sign somewhere else but i don’t mind him back. Losing him for nothing is pointless if they can re-sign him then if it really doesn’t work, can trade him at least get something in return.

  10. Fantastic-Arachnid61

If he opts out and we cannot get a trade done then that’s when we should re sign him. Would be terrible if we let him go for nothing no matter how bad he wa sin the playoffs

  11. Juaniscool-8

YES WHAT? BEST 3 PT SHOOTER IN LAKER HISTORY

  12. AuspiciousOtter24

Idk if I can watch DLo play defense another year, it’s physically painful

  13. I’m genuinely curious if any other team is willing to give him a bag.

  14. While he is capable of some really solid games, and can score in bunches, it’s his motor that limits him, as well as his defending.

He plays at 60% until he hits a couple buckets. We need guys playing 100% all the time.

  15. lolxddavid

Yes. We can’t replicate his production with ANYONE from the FA market.

  16. thelennybeast

Yeah we need him back if nothing else so that we don’t just lose a bunch of cap space we can’t use on anybody else.

  17. He was on an expiring contract and they had trouble trading him. What makes anyone think it’s going to be easy flipping him with a longer term contract.

  18. Haven’t heard the front office mention a peep about retaining him if he opts out. And they’ve mentioned building around numerous players already this summer.

  19. Consistent_Owl4593

He had a great game 2 then put up 0, a big fat 0 in game 3 yes that’s right a guy who’s arguably a third option put up 0 points in a must win playoff game. I can’t do it anymore man he’s just not built for the playoffs or a championship level squad. I really like him and the vibes he brings but we can’t win with a guy who puts up 0 in a playoff game or someone who averages 6 a game in the wcf as a starting point guard

  20. motorboat_mcgee

Yes. Our only option to replace his production is trading a bunch of our guys for another PG. Ideally we get him back on a team friendly 3+ year deal, and if we need to move him in the future, so be it.

  21. severinks

AS a Knicks fan I’d sure love to see him opt in and you guys trade him to us for Bogie so he could be our 6th man.

  22. aginglifter

He’s only a regular season player. I’m fine with him back but he shouldn’t be a starter for a playoff team.

  23. FBIStatMajor

Yes. I want the whole team back actually. I would love to see how Dan Hurley unlocks this roster

  24. RiversofJell0

I can see Hurley hyping him up like crazy after he hits a few threes. Not just a clap and weak high fives that Ham did

  25. TheInconspicuousBIG

I have never ever ever seen a player on his cell phone while on the bench. Like someone else said. Keep and trade

  26. proteinMeMore

Yes for a trade asset. If anything he gets you through a season

  27. Nlawrence55

Only for trades. Dude has folded two straight years in the playoffs.

  28. ImprovementSilly2895

No player they can sign will be nearly as good as him, so yes.

  29. drshade06

A lot of people in this thread don’t understand our cap situation at all. Need DLo back then trade him when we can.

  30. TorontoRaptors34

Not if u wanna win bruh shat the bed twoce and mofos still want him 😂

  31. TorontoRaptors34

Nah I wanna see how Reaves does next to a guy like Caruso. If AC here Reaves will have a new golf buddy and the team will have a better shot at winning.

  32. thesonicvision

    Hell nah.

I don’t think he’s bad– I think he’s good. I just think he’s a bad fit, always disappoints in the playoffs, plays bad defense, needs to start to be effective, and has just too many flaws.

He’s a great trades piece because he has value. Again, he’s not bad.

But the Lakers need to shake up the roster! Enough is offense.

AR should be a 6th Man. D-lo should not be on the team. Prince is not a starter. Rui is not a starter. Vamdo is not a starter. These guys are all too 1-dimensional and too flawed. We need players in the mold of Derrick White, Jrue Holiday, and Aaron Gordon. We need upgrades.
