Klay unfollowed the Warriors and removed posts from the last Championship run

Is this really the end of the splash bros? šŸ˜”
I know he didnā€™t have his best year but it will be really hard to see Klay in another uniform next year if we donā€™t end up resigning him.

A lot of people were speculating that Klay would be willing to take a massive hometown discount to finish up his career with his fellow Splash Brother, but once again, money talks.

I can only speak for myself but I’m pretty sure that once I had more than 100 million in the bank, I would be more interested in quality of life and comfort at work.

    Thank you for everything, Klay!

  2. Guess he only wanted to play for Steve Kerr until he got benched.

  3. Dude got max pay for 2.5 seasons to rehab and now is throwing a tantrum because they donā€™t want to overpay him.

Thatā€™s probably the most telling sign that heā€™s upset with the warriors offer.

He might be gone this time.

Love ya Klay. Wishing you luck wherever you go

  5. Klay like every other player has a right to do what he wants

The Warriors have an obligation to do what is best for their team. They donā€™t have to give him what he wants and if they offer what he wants, itā€™s financial malpractice

I certainly wont be sad to not have Klay on the team I will definitely be sad to see something as special as 3 guys spending their whole long careers together on one team

Well if he doesn’t value his brotherhood that’s on him

They should spay Fake Klay to suit up and sit on the bench, and we can pretend itā€™s Klay.

  9. This was done a looooong time ago. Last off season I believe just before the season started. Also he still has plenty of Warriors related posts on his Instagram account and he still follows the Santa Cruz Warriors lol this blowing up into a story (all of local Warriors media are making a massive deal of it on Twitter already) is so stupid. Itā€™s KLAY lol anyone using his social media activity as a barometer of anything needs to remember who weā€™re dealing with here

No state tax in Florida, or champion roster in Philadelphia, heā€™s got no kids, fans threw him under the bus anytime he played bad, lowball offer in his eyes heā€™s goneā€¦.

  11. Not a big deal (yet). Same playbook Deebo and Aiyuk used to get contracts.

This is normal, not sure why people are acting like this is some super serious action

Its sad to see him on another team but its whats best for both parties. He would not be happy with his role/contract if he were to resign

I didnā€™t think I could ever dislike him. But this might be it. Got a max deal on bum legs then come back and shit the bed. Prides one hell of a bitch.

This is really sad to see šŸ˜–

Also I doubt itā€™s over money considering all the praise heā€™s had for the front office over the last 2 years.

My guess is they wanna downgrade his role in the team and his minutes. And he wasnā€™t comfortable with that.

Iā€™m really sad over this tbh, I want him to spend his whole career here.

    Klay bruh.

When will you realize you are not the same Klay Thompson any more?

The team was nice to you to pay you handsomely for your contract when you were injured.

Do not let your ego get in your way.

Some dumb team may overpay you but money is not whatā€™s most important.
