Luka has played 7 elimination games in his career. He has won 4 and lost 3 while posting an average statline of 34/9/8.
Kyrie has also done well in elimination games, averaging 27/4/4 across 8 elimination games (5-3).
And Dereck Lively has shot 100% from 3 in elimination games, too!
The Mavs have played 5 elimination games in the Jason Kidd era. In those, they've had an average point differential of +19.6 and gone 4-1, with the one loss to Golden State in Game 5 of the 2022 WCF.

In case anyone is wondering his normal playoff average is 31/9/8
Thanks, like I needed another reason to drink today
He’s a phenomenal athlete, talent and really human being, I’m a Celtics fan so I’m praying to all the gods and offering up half of my life to Satan to allow the Celtics to close this out in game 5 at home
LeBron has been in 22 elimination games. Here are his avg:
34.1 points
10.8 rebounds
7.4 assists
1.7 steals and 1 block (approx)
Crazy thing is as wild as that is it’s still ever so slightly worse than what he averaged this regular season
Luka can average a 30 point triple double and we’re all like, eh, okay, cool. Only Luka man. And he’s only 25. He’s probably a lock for 30/10/10 give or take for the next 5 years. His career ppg average could very well pass up Wilt’s and Michael’s 30.1, at least for a while. While his career rebounds and assists will probably hover around 9 and 9. Literally no other player comes close to his current averages of 29/9/8 and he just does it nonchalant while also apparently being fat and out of shape.
Kyrie has surely lost more than 2 elimination games right? 2017 Finals, 2019 ECSF, 2022 ECR1
If Luka pulls this out and mavs win in 7, he’s literally going to skyrocket into the all time category
I think he needs to have 45 points at minimum in game 5 Boston just like LeBron did game 6. He needs to put the absolute fear of God into Boston and try to break their will just like Steph did as well in ’22.
I don’t think the whole Mavs team can carry their good play to Boston, the crowd there is too tough on them. Luka will need a legacy defining game to get them to a game 6.
