to the Kia [Music] halftime the Mavericks 26-point lead is their largest halftime lead in any NBA Finals game Kendrick Perkins Stephen A Smith Paul George Michael wilbon I’m Malika Andrews perk you picked the Dallas Mavericks to win this game this defensive effort is totally different than what we have seen from them thus far what changed Luca changed Luca changed I mean his his oneon-one defense especially Jason Tatum was phenomenal he was sliding those puppies it was one place me and the legend wibar was in the back and I said well look at Luca going up with verticality right the 50/50 balls and offensively we knew what he was going to bring to the table but all in all the Dallas mavers did a great job of being the instigators and not the retaliators right they had the Celtics plan on their heels on both ends of the floor I can appreciate that you’re right but in the same breath the Boston Celtics have no excuse for looking in the way that they look they’ve been atrocious offensively Jason Tatum is the only person that showed up Jaylen Brown 3 of 10 Drew holiday and Derek Derek way I mean you’ve got a combined two for1 shooting they’re shooting 29% from the field I don’t give a damn how good Dallas’s defense looks it ain’t look that good when you can’t even shoot 30% from the field play well Mavericks are playing with Force right that 34 points in the paint they are just playing forcefully and you you talked you guys talked about this pregame we’re just sitting around Dallas had to come out with that sort of regression they have and Boston just sort of said all right we can do this Monday back at the crib yeah I mean you got to give Dallas credit for the defense that they have been playing though I know the Celtics aren’t making shots and they not shooting it well but a lot of that has to do with the Mavericks flying around getting the shooters they five for 19 from three for a team that loves to sit behind the three-point line I just think they’re doing a great job Luca set the tone with how he came out and approached there was moments where he had guarding uh Jason Tatum where he took the challenge then there was moments where there was two that went to the ball I just think they were great with uh their attention to detail to play defense tonight [Music]
