[Cowley] Andre Drummond is looking to leave the Chicago Bulls and sign elsewhere this offseason.

What remains to be seen, however, is what direction do the Bulls go? Do they prepare for DeMar DeRozan possibly leaving in free agency or if he does return — the more likely scenario — draft his heir apparent at the small forward position? Do they grab a big to replace the expected vacancy with Andre Drummond looking for a new team, as well as some youth to push starter Nikola Vucevic?

He’s one of the top 450 NBA players as it speaks.

You are a Denver Nugget! Come and learn from the best center in the NBA.

He’s still an effective back up in the regular season, but man he’s so immobile this days that I can’t really see him bring value to a playoffs team, especially because it’s not like he’s ever been an effective post defender on guys like Embiid or Joker either

  4. Why would anyone want to leave the Bulls. We are going for the 9-10 Play in Championship Game 3-peat

Is he worth more then a minimum 👀

  6. I just fell to my knees in the Walgreens bathroom stall

dude was invaluable for the opposing team in those play in games, just taking out his own teammates

They could have gotten a SRP if they traded him at the deadline instead of holding him for a playin game.

  9. Rumors were he was going to Dallas before he went back to Chicago. Would be an interesting 3rd center next year if he decides to do it this year.

What monumental news. This will clearly determine the outcome of next season.

  11. Still feel he is the best rebounder in the game. Like he said, it is a craft/art to dominate boards. He should fetch more than a min imo, but maybe better of serve to younger teams for a vet member (unsure if he was of any leadership qualities)

  12. This thread is gonna be funny when he actually makes a difference on a contender. Stop shitting on a dude you don’t watch.

Lol the 2019 mavericks would sign him to a max so quickly

it would kinda suck to lose Drummond right now considering we don’t have a respectable backup big besides him, but I wouldn’t lose sleep over it.

this team definitely looks like its about to go through some kind of transition. I really like having Demar as a veteran presence on the team, but I’d respect his decision to ring chase, or just leave honestly. I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t sacrifice a lot to keep him though.

side note, don’t draft for need. teams should always draft with the future in mind, *regardless of position*. I wouldn’t even draft the best prospect in a position of need if a better prospect is available. needs are filled through trade and FA.

The UConn fan in me wants him in Boston on a vet min ring chasing. The Celtics fan in me knows that his absolute inability to provide any spacing significantly takes away from the Celtics offense.

would be way better than Euabnks. Would still be unplayable in the playoffs

I’m surprised no one has mentioned him as a good fit for the Thunder. They need size behind Chet and Drummond has at least proven he can rebound really well.

  18. How in the world is Andre Drummond only 30 years old? I feel like we’ve been talking about him since the ’90’s.

  19. Sixers are a perfect fit. He was good for us and having a capable backup center would be huge for the inevitable 30 games Joel doesn’t play

  20. It was made pretty that clear he wanted to leave when he tried to posterize his own teammate
