  1. Devin Carter: 20/**9**/4 with 2 steals and 1 block per game. Shooting splits of 47/38/75 on 7 attempts per game from deep and 60 TS%.

Physicals: 6’3 195lb guard, listed 6’2.5 without shoes at combine. Also has 6’9 wingspan and record in the three-quarter court sprint. Tied for the lead among prospects in attendance in vertical jump (42 inch) and standing vertical jump.

Will not be making impact next year

Not sure if we can trade to get better players

Can we just stop with the guards. For god sake draft a center or at least a defensive wing

Ron Holland might fall too and is worth trading up for. I’m not sure what big they’d be trading up for except clingan but he’s gonna go too high. I think they realize the title window is closed. Gotta start planning for the future

  5. I’m for it if we can trade JHS or Lewis to get an additional pick to draft Carter this year. I’d hate to draft another small guard with our 1st round pick with Gabe and possibly Bronny on the roster..

Did anyone hear what Trevor Lane said today about what he heard about JJ’s meeting? He said it went well and that the little whispers he heard was JJ was talking about focusing on off-ball movement and how to find spots for AD.

Of the teams above us, I think Jazz are most likely to trade with us. Solid gap then the Bulls/Blazers. If they do make a large leap up the draft, hoping for Ron Holland.

  8. if theyre movin up its probably for devin carter bc hes a lock to be gone by 17 if theyre targeting a big then its more than likely for kalel ware whos rising into the lottery, similar to lively last year. they probably see how well lively is performing as a rookie and dont want to miss out on a high upside defensive big.

i wouldnt mind if they traded up for either of those 2 as they help solve 2 big areas of need, which we cant really address in FA bc theres no good available bench bigs within our price rance

[to add to this, the pelicans are considering trading or selling the number 21 pick](https://x.com/esidery/status/1801689605852565713) if the lakers can snatch that as well that be huge, getting a high upside player by trading up and a win now guy like holmes at 21 would be a dream

I don’t like Devin Carter’s lack of decision making in tough situations when he has the ball. Seems to struggle against double teams. He’s elite in the open court though as a finisher. Defense is good but I worry it will translate to foul trouble. His offense as a PG is G League level so he will have to work on that while also having so many guards ahead of him on the big team. I prefer a wing or center that can be a second string level player
