BREAKING NEWS: Free agent expected to test free agency

This isn’t new, we’ve known since before the season started the Warriors & Klay weren’t close on an extension. It seems as tho Mike is drawing a line in the sand and essentially saying that we want Klay back but only at a discounted price because we’re trying to build a championship contender around Steph. I know Klay is extremely prideful so I personally don’t see him taking a crazy discount just to stay with the Warriors, regardless whatever happens I’m thankful I got to watch Klay win chips with the Dubs 🔥

There’s a huge difference to a cap room team paying him $25M, which costs them $25M, and us doing the same, where it puts us into the tax, keeps us on the repeater rates, and paying him $25M costs us 5X that after taxes. I feel like Klay is definitely going to have options to make more money elsewhere, so it really comes down to how much he “values” staying with the Dubs and remaining in the Bay Area.

Of course, that’s how negotiations are done.

That’s good, love u bro, but if u can’t accept a lesser pay and a lesser role, then a new team is a better choice

For me, two things are true: (A) I hope Klay gets the biggest bag he can. (B) I hope the Warriors manage the cap and remain under the 2nd apron.

Charania is such a shill. Clearly briefed by agent.
