The Toronto Raptors have a chance to do the funniest thing. As I reported/said 5 months ago, O.G re-signing in NYC was not a sure thing. And reports are now out by Brian Windhorst (among many others connected to CAA) that Anunoby isn’t happy with the Knicks offer and could look to test free agency. At which point several teams with cap space will have a chance to woo the former Raptor, none of which SHOULD* scare New York more however, than his former team, the Toronto Raptors.

In the best case scenario, the Raptors get OG back on a reasonable deal, reunite him with his best friend Scottie Barnes, and maybe get some good karma return for all the tampering they’ve endured in losing Kawhi and Bosh — in the worst case scenario, the Knicks have to sign OG Anunoby to may more than they expected, opening up the potential for Toronto to hunt Isaiah Hartenstein in free agency.
