[Puente] Paul George is not looking to chase a championship in free agency: “I mean at this point, it’s not even about like people saying ‘chasing a championship’. Like it’s not that. But it’s playing the right style of basketball is what I’m chasing.”

Last contract, PG wants his last bag
HAHAHA CERTIFIED LOSER GET ME OG IN HERE
This sounds like some solid loser mentality.
He’s going to be a great fit.
please dear god sign OG
man have some shame
My probably slightly unfair translation:
“I’m not about to hustle my ass off on defense or on the boards, winning a chip doesn’t define me. I don’t worry about that anymore. I just want to play the style that I deem best.”
This is your King?!?
Well, that’s unfortunate. People suggested he felt this way before, but this is directly from the horse’s mouth. Bet the “right style of basketball” comes with the biggest contract to him…
I’m chasing that 💰
He’d fit right in here then
So butler or BI it is?
Smart thing to say. If I wanted the most leverage and biggest payday, I want as many teams as possible publicly meeting with me. If he says he just wants to be on a contender, Sixers are the only real team that fit this(with maybe the exception of the Magic, but I don’t think that getting PG alone make them a contender). Might as well say he wants to play the right style of ball just to make sure he gets offers from teams like the Pistons too.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This dude is a fucking loser he’d get booed outta the building and demand a trade his third game here, I’m good
Immediately before this quote, and the first thing he said is that he’s looking to contribute to winning basketball.
He’s chasing a ‘lifestyle’. Chill in L.A. and hoop it up with friends and family nearby.
Slow disjointed offense in playoff pressure situations where guys stand cold in the corner. Welcome to Philly, PG!
Yeah fuck this whole idea. Dude has no drive to win anymore and he’s halfway to 70 years old.
It’s weird that Kawhi is so tight with two absolute losers in PG and (especially) Harden.
Well that makes the potential PG vs OG decision easier.
This sounds uncomfortably like the stuff Harden’s people leaked about “basketball freedom”.
PG wants to get paid and I’m not sure he has that dawg in him.
Even if wants to come to Philly, I could see it turning out badly. I’m not saying it will, and it might still be a move worth making, I just see the potential for it to go poorly.
Everyone’s reading this one way, I’m reading it as “chasing a championship is seen as weak and I’m not doing something weak, I want to play the best basketball I can.”
