even though the Charlotte Hornets were once again nowhere close to playing in the NBA Finals they still managed to be losers last night they still found a way to take an l and here’s why Brandon Miller Grant Williams and Mark Williams were at the game last night supporting their new head coach Charles Lee a Celtics assistant now if that was just it that’s fine let’s support our coach let’s be out at the game a coach that you’ve maybe met a couple of times that you don’t really know all that well right now because he’s not your coach yet well he is their coach today but as of yesterday was not your coach if that was just it it’s still a little strange but okay we’re not leading the show with it or anything but then the video surfaced of those guys in the locker room during the postgame celebration you have all the Celtics players who have just won a title and then you got players from one of the five worst teams in the NBA this year one of which was holding a champagne bottle it looked like holding some form of bottle in that locker room this invited a lot of jokes this is closest the Hornets will ever come to the NBA finals or to winning a championship all stuff that they set themselves up for so we’re not going to pooo those jokes they’ve earned those jokes for walking into that locker room you might say Josh clearly they were invited no bleep Sherlock I don’t think you just show up to the NBA finals yeah we went into the locker room of course they were they were invited by their coach Charles Lee but that doesn’t mean you go it doesn’t matter if Charles Lee was fervent about it strong willed about it hey you need to come we want you to see what a championship culture looks like we want you here this will be great like if your high school Crush invites you to her wedding you don’t go to the wedding if you still have feelings for that person hey look at her having a great time happy for her let’s applaud her let me go to the wedding for my ex look at this winner she looks like she’s turning out well being in the locker room it seems that violates an athletes code of sorts we were just at the US open at Pinehurst over the weekend and players saw the trophy sitting there you know what they didn’t do they didn’t touch it because there’s code you don’t touch the US Open trophy until you win it because if you touch it before you win it then you’re never going to win it same code for the stanle cup if you’re a player you don’t touch it until you win it it’s how it works and if you think I’m being unkind or if I’m wrong I want Here’s a thought exercise could you imagine under any circumstances Michael Jordan in a winning locker room while he was still playing for another team could you imagine imagine Michael in the Spurs locker room in 99 imagine Michael in the Houston Rockets locker room in 95 could you imagine that imagine Kobe Bryant could you imagine Kobe oh I was invited by the guy who’s now going to coach our team to be in the locker room for the champion in the finals Kobe would tell you to bleep off because that’s what competitors do that’s what Champions do this is strange Behavior right the weirdest one is Grant Williams don’t forget Grant Williams played for the Celtics a year ago so he’s watching his former teammates all celebrate he must feel like the bridesmaid like this is 20 27 Dresses I’m so happy for all you guys maybe one day that’s going to be me what makes it even stranger is he was not a hornet nor a Celtic at the start of the year he was a MAV so he’s at the finals watching the guys that he played with at the start of the Year up until the deadline lose to the team that he played with a year ago while standing with a few of his teammates for the team that he plays for now which again is one of the five worst teams in the league this is strange Behavior this is loser Behavior this is Hornets Behavior but this is the positive we spin off it it’s not the biggest L that they could have taken they had the biggest L on that Court a couple of years ago remember on that same court the Golden State Warriors closed out the Celtics and at about that time Hornet’s coach Kenny Atkinson decided you know what I don’t want to be The Hornet’s coach anymore I’m GNA stay at Golden State changed his mind after winning the championship it seems like at least you’re getting Marcus or uh Charles Lee now at least you still get your coach in fact I think we just figured it out maybe the reason the Hornets were there were was not in fact to celebrate Charles Lee winning the championship maybe these players were sent on a mission Brandon Miller Grant Williams and Mark Williams maybe they were sent on a mission make sure Charles Lee gets on that plane maybe that’s what this was sent by Jeff Peterson and the new ownership do whatever is necessary to make sure he gets on this plane bring him back it’s like a Talented Mr Ripley scenario get him on this plane make sure he gets to Charlotte as the Hornets coach there you go he has work to do right away eight days from now the Hornets have the number six pick in the NBA draft free agency is two weeks away didn’t think the Charwood Hornets could possibly take an L last night but they did in very Hornets fashion the only thing missing was Eric Collins to make it even more exciting with him being on the call seconds talid Deluxe
