all right live and we’re live what’s going on guys Chris LeBron we are here for the Nicks Q&A for the NBA draft I know you guys probably haven’t seen me in a while it’s been a minute but I’m here about the NBA draft it is approaching it is next week can’t believe it is around the block so it is going to be crazy this is one of the most I I don’t even know how to describe this draft it has just been so it it’s so you know crazy it’s there just so much going on you don’t know who’s to be number one is there a true blue chip Prospect and all that there’s just a lot of indeci this with a lot of teams you know a lot of players rankings and all that everyone’s draft board it’s all over the place and all that so we’re gonna get into talk about it a lot but you know for me going with this class it’s not like obviously like last year we knew who was the top pick we know it was Victor wiim Bama right we knew who was going to be the blue chipper and all that everybody was trying to get him the Spurs got him took a number one this year there’s no clear c number one pick like obviously we’ve heard a lot like alexar has been for the most part the guy that been you know who project projected to be the number one pick but now you hear Zachary ret you know and Donovan Clinger who’s someone I’ve petitioned for Atlanta to go take at number one you know I think he you know fits what they kind of need especially to try to win now but this draft is just it has been unpredict it is going to be unpredictable it’s going to be a lot of craziness and obviously with the NBA offseason it’s always going to be wild and all so trades you know who’s going to move up or teams move to move down you know because this is the draft where you know you may you know where the where the sweet spot is is kind of in that Lottery to like you know 20s range you know I you know I don’t know if a lot of teams you know a lot of teams that are really looking to move up more teams looking to go down and all that you know so this draft is just all over the place everyone’s Big Board is you know all scrambled and all that I know mine’s changed a little a lot you know everyone’s and what’s crazy about this this draft class and all is that there’s no wrong there you’re not wrong if you have a this Prospect at number one hey you know that’s okay you know it’s not like years before where like there’s a lot of like you know arguments about oh why you have this guy hey man this draft is so unpredictable that someone who the prospect 25 for one guy could be Prospect number three I know I have a prospect at in my top five that that a lot of people have in their 20s you know so it’s just it’s just one of those things where it’s just it’s so unpredictable man but it is you know uh you it is it’s going to be interesting what happens draft day and all that because I don’t know I we we I don’t know people I talk to that cover the draft don’t know what’s GNA happen and all so it is just it is it is really wild but like I said I’m Chris LeBron I know you guys haven’t seen me a lot you know I do a lot of draft stuff throughout the year and all that and uh you know so appreciate everyone that’s coming in we’re going to wait for some more people to come in in the chat and all that but yeah as we’re seeing you know Atlanta got the number one pick so they’re on the clock there’s a you know and like I mentioned before you know Alex star has been the consensus number one right for the most part and it seems like of late this seems like there could be some you know he apparently he has not he hasn’t taken a a meeting or a workout with them and all that so that’s very interesting you know and that’s not that’s not like something that’s not like crazy and all that because I think I think Paulo that happened with Paulo If I recall with Orlando but you know it’s you know do they are they gonna are they looking for Rish who has more of the upside he’s more of a wing you know he he’s a little bit more polished offensively than than S that’s the one thing I worry about SAR is the the he’s not polished offensively and yeah he has Mo he’s definitely shown that he can shoot a little bit but I don’t know if that’s that could be consistent and all I think his floor is a lot lower than like Donovan kingan like I I petion petitioned that kingan should be number one you know and and I see you know John in the chat you know I can see king that’s what I think I think kingan’s number one I I trust his floor I think his floor is still a really good player like a really good rim protector a double double Guy where SAR for me I don’t I don’t know I don’t know his floor could be out of the league in in in a few and then that’s scary that’s scary I know the defensive he’s definitely gonna be in a run for like a defensive you all defensive team like I think his defense is that good and all that but I do worry about some of the athleticism like I think it’s a little bit overrated you know all that and like I don’t know about the scoring I just don’t know I don’t know if it’s and I don’t know and I know this is a draft where it’s so unpredictable but do you still take a guy who doesn’t have much to bring to you right now offensively and it could hit in four five years but do are you willing to take a guy with the number one pick like that I don’t know you know what do you what do you guys think let me know in the chat how you what do you think you know do do you take SAR one and B and just pray that you can get the offense to go you know you know especially that you got you know you know Trey young and and all the you know right now they got de Jon there and all that you still got Jaylen Johnson right there and that’s the thing too Jaylen Johnson I think that interferes with Jaylen Johnson because Jaylen Johnson is shown he he he might be a really good player so do you get saw I think they kind of get in the way of each other you know so you know I yeah CL I see a lot of you guys you know mentioning kingan at number one and and I feel like I’ve seen some Rumblings and all that with that lately and like I said that’s something that I that I have you know for Atlanta and some previews I’ve I’ve done with Atlanta is like hey man go for kingan like he’s gonna he’s a defensive anchor he show when he can do in big games and all even when he was playing last year with soogo he was soo’s backup at Yukon when they won the first chip you know you know that he can be someone that can still anchor you know so he’s shown it you know he’s played Big Big Time games and all that I think the offenses can come around I think he can shoot a little bit I think he can shoot a little bit it may not it may not happen right now but I think down down the line he could shoot a little bit but you know uh K I think King is going that high I know some I see some people saying you don’t think he’s going I think he’s he can go as high as number one I think the lowest he’ll go is probably I would say I mean Houston has three they don’t need him because they have you know uh sangun and all that but I can see a team trading up for him I I think he’s top three um I think he’s a top three pick in this draft and all that so uh he’s s fo three crazy wingspan I mean you look what he did against Zack Edy in the national championship like he he he did his thing and all that and he held his own too you know so you know kingan is just someone that I think I would take number one over SAR I know SAR is the most popular pick and now G is starting to get more Buzz with the number one pick but he’s another one I TR his offense is a little definitely ahead of Alex SAR definitely way ahead of alexar and all that and Zachary had some ups and up and downs this season and all that but definitely you know came on and can show some things and I think that’s why if you’re Atlanta I think you trust I think you trust Zachary Richard State’s offense more than SAR and I Len the defense with SAR is there I think he could be a all NBA all defense type of player but are you taking a guy that his ceiling could be all NBA defense but he’s a 10 to 12 points per game guy that’s the thing you have to think if you’re Atlanta I I I don’t know I don’t know you know I Know Rich has more upside he get more score I you know things he could do off the dribble catch you know there’s there’s some there’s some positives there but for me I like clinging at one man I I know I’m probably I’m I’m alone on that may not all by myself on the island I know there’s a few people I think lately have been com coming along with the cling and number one but it’s something that I’m I’m thinking about I if I’m Atlanta I think you go there because just think about it off season for at Atlanta you take klling and one maybe the bi stuff for for Murray happens you get a Caruso you add that with Jaylen Johnson and Trey that makes Trey happy so I think that’s something you gotta think about and Atlanta you’re win that and you don’t have your pick next year for Atlanta you don’t have the pick where the draft is more is is more op it’s more there’s a lot more blue chippers and all that you don’t have your pick next year so you Atlanta’s in win nowo so I I think uh I I I think that’s something they can got to consider and all that but yeah like zachar is in line there’s a I would say Kingland zachar alexar those three guys are definitely in play at number one and there could be a surprise I mean not saying he will but Stephen castle if it could be someone that possibly can sneak in because I like his upside a lot I think he could play point guard and all that and so uh even though I know they have you know Trey and all that but that’s that’s guy could potentially if somebody wants to trade up and all that but uh thear SAR is definitely interesting at at uh I I don’t know I don’t trust I don’t know about the offense where s i i I really don’t know if the offense will ever come along on he shows flashes like when it’s when he’s open and all that it looks good and all that but just I I I don’t I don’t know I don’t know if he’s all if he’s going to do that if he’s going to to be that type of player offensively and all that so we we’ll see we’ll see but CL I think cing is that dude I think Kling is that dude I think I think Kling number one for uh for Atlanta and all that and then we see the Wizards are two and all that you know um they the Wizards need a lot of help to they they a lot of help a lot of help uh then uh I I can see like Memphis uh Memphis you trading up in and uh and uh trading up to three because they need they need the big man and all that and uh so so I think I think if you go klling and one SAR two Zachary Rishi take three and four is the Spurs I think they take one of the either topic topic or they take Castle I think Castle clinging of I’ve seen some people cling thinking CL you might as well trade back I’ve seen that too I’ve seen people talk about the trade trading back and I I definitely see uh with I could definitely see kingan you know somebody you know uh trying to get him at later but we’ll see Atlanta is is taking so SAR like I said he’s he’s good at the up if you you take SAR if you buy the offense if you buy the offense if you buy the offense long term then you take SAR number one I I personally I just don’t see it I don’t see the offense you know being being number one worthy you know so uh if you got any any any thoughts about the draft or any prospects you like and all that anyone late in the sure to call in hit up the Discord let’s let’s talk about this draft and who you want for to take you want them to trade up for a certain Prospect because you know let me know and let’s get right into it with all this draft stuff because it is it’s draft season like say a week away right we a week away you know it’s two nights now so if you some of you forgot it is it a two nights you know they split it up so the first round second round are separated now you know so we’ll have two nights of the draft and all that so it is going to be a fun fun you know week leading into the draft and all that so let’s let’s get into some of my favorite prospects and uh my my five five guys that I’m really looking forward to and I dropped an article I dropped two art and first one was about uh Tyler KCK you know the point guard from kraton and and I dropped another one on Ryan dumble let’s talk about let’s talk about Tyler Kik you know uh he is a six one guard from from Marquette he he people are going to when they look at him they’re going to be like nah you know he’s six foot one not athletic just nah and you know what I felt the same way with Tyler I felt the same way just not just the season beginning the season you know I do I do a podcast with my with my guy Kev Lucas you know get and get a buck and we talked about and I’m like and he was a big fan of his I wasn’t I wasn’t feeling him but each game I watched him I bought I just like you know what he’s growing on me he’s growing on me he’s growing on me and he he showed out I mean he led the country in assist man it’s hard to leave the country in assist and that’s what he did you know he’s an efficient passer great in pick and rolls you know and one thing that’s you know you might not look he can not only can he shoot when he’s open but he he’s great off the catch he’s great off the dribble you know he he is his his passes passing passing velocity is good that’s I know people don’t think about that but just the little things in that and I know some people may think oh we don’t need a point guard essentially and like I said it’s not a dire need but to bring him in as potentially a back and and listen I know we got Duce and all that but he’s a different type of guard from Duce you know Duce is going to be able to be a spot up shooter play defense but what what Tyler does perfect is we need a playmaker we we need a playmaker and that’s what he does great he is a tremendous playmaker not just pass but he the playmaking is there like I said pick and roll situations it doesn’t matter like he played in the Big East you know he played in the Big East where every night they’re going against Yukon you know they’re going against you know villain the all these schools these juggernauts kraton kraton had a bunch of you know all Defender you know and he’s he’s killing it he’s killing so I I think and we also have to to think about the concept of a a thibs play I know some people may not like that you know when you thinking about you know prospects and potentially but I think you have to think about that like you have to think this is tibs like this is the guy like this is this is this is the guy that you think about as a TI tibs player and all that and I know I seen some people with uh Rus you know I know we took Rus a few years back that’s not going to stop me here whether he’s he’s here that doesn’t really stop me you know from from taking a Tyler kic type and all that um I seeing some people chat we need a legit backup for Bruns yeah he’s the perfect backup you know think think tus Jones think tus Jones type wish do the better shot you know the passing is similar to him you to tyus Jones and all I think if you just think tyus Jones with a better jumper better three-point shooter I think that’s something that we desperately need you know T yeah see lot people talking about tyus Jones and all that g yeah he has some G Goring into him maybe not but and that’s the one thing because of his lack of size his ability to get to the rim you know even though he he can be creative at times that’s the one thing he he he’s he’s not like with Goran because Goran can can finish and all that um but uh yeah he he’s I I really think to uh kic is a guy that you know if he’s in that and I’ve heard that he’s actually moving up he’s moving up in the draft so these someone that you know I at one point I thought maybe we could get in this in the second round you know and now he’s one that I was like you know thinking all right he’s definitely going to be there with the two first rounds and now I’m like oh he might not even be there you know so you know he he his draft stock is moving I know people like I know the age thing is another concern I think he turns 24 by the time it’s you know uh the All-Star break and I I don’t really worry that too especially you know late first round pick you know I don’t really stress about you know the age thing and all that you know I think that’s something more you worry about you know at the top of the draft more than at the bottom of the draft but he’s someone you know I will give you some of his weaknesses obviously the lack of strength is is a huge thing he’s you know six foot one you know Buck 90 and change and all that didn’t test well at the draft you know doesn’t have the measurables and all that you know that you need but he’s someone he’s going to try on defense he he’s he’s gonna be pesky and all that think like like TJ McConnell he’s gonna be pesty and all that but you know there is g to be situations in pick Ro that he could get picked apart and all that but uh he’s a he’s someone that I think we need a we need a playmaking guard we need someone who can run the offense when Jaylen brunson’s out because we saw at times when brunson’s not on the court especially at the point guard position it’s it’s tough it’s tough so it’s something that we need and I think this is some a position that we you know can upgrade you know the backup point ouros you put him with Deuce I think we can definitely you know he’s definitely gonna make he’s gonna make people work like I said regardless of who comes in with JIS you know whoever us if they bring in a veteran backup point guard it’s something that we need a playmaking point guard who could shoot and someone you can trust with the ball in his hand when brunson’s not playing not on the court you know so I I think Tyler KCK is someone he pits the tips Mo he’s definitely a tibs dude and and I think if he’s there in the 20s I think in 24 25 I think he’s someone you gotta def you gotta consider you gotta consider but he could be he could be gone because I I you know said this draft is all over the place so he’s someone that you definitely you know uh consider at 2425 because I think he’s he he feel perfect on the crowd’s going to love him when he comes in like said he just going to do little things he’s Scrappy but he could shoot he could shoot he could pass the ball like said let the league L the country and assist the whole country so he’s definitely someone that uh that the Knicks should consider with with one of those two picks so we’ll see what happens I said there there’s some things you got to worry about with with the measurables and all but I see KY Kyle I don’t think I see Kyle Larry I don’t know if he’s that type of player you know I think but uh as far as being pesky yeah you know but not as physical as a kyari type but like in that in that you know Mark I see markl folz out you know like said tyus Jones yeah I see people saying tyus Jones and all that I could I like that I like the tyus Jones the the The McConnell and all that but just you know um he’s someone not a good fit I I know like people look I the size I mean 6’2 but you got to look at you can’t just look at that and you just can’t look at that like he said the passing is Elite the shooting is Elite you know he kept getting better and better throughout the year biggest player of the year you know played in a tough conference so he’s tough man he’s built for this he he’s buil pron Pritchard ah he’s not the shooter like pton pron Pritchard is more of like a you know off the catch you know off that type of player he’s not and pitcher is not a pass not the passer that kic is kic is a a high level he’s one of the more Elite uh Shooters I mean uh passers in this class perard you know great shooter and all that but I don’t think uh I don’t I wouldn’t say that’s a that’s a great comp and all that but uh tyus Jones tyus Jones uh Reggie Jackson I don’t know about Reggie Jackson I don’t know about Reggie Jackson I think regie Jackson little bit more Dynamic score little bit more Dynamic score but yeah K if he’s there if he’s there I I think I I like him a lot there we need someone 68 taller yeah um well you mention six8 taller I I got I got the next guy I’m going to talk about is definitely fits in that mode and is definitely a name that we’ve been hearing about a lot and uh we we I’ll get right into him uh we’re gonna talk about Ryan dun Virginia 6 fo8 he is someone that if you had told me beginning of the Season that he would be someone that would be in the 20s I would have laughed at you cuz he was someone early on that I thought top five worthy like the measurables are there 6’8 7 foot plus wingspan everything you want in a wing but he just he struggled mightily with this with this with his shooting the shooting is something that I wanted to see progress it didn’t happen the way and he the shot looks looks all right if you actually look at it his shot is looks solid and all that but it’s just just it it it it didn’t progress the way I wanted to there’s a lot of things that you know as far as the hitch you know the slowmo it’s just it did it didn’t and it didn’t help that he played at Virginia I don’t know if you guys watch a lot of college basketball but Virginia’s offense I mean they had games where they were in the 30s at and like with a few minutes left in the second half like it was it was ugly basketball even with ree beakman you know who’s someone that who’s someone that could potten should be a a a you know end of the second round they just couldn’t make it work that offense was it was rough it was rough so you have to look at you definitely have to look at that and wonder okay did the did the lack of creativity yeah the lack of creativity be you know on on you know with uh in Virginia be a reason why they struggled so much and and I think that’s a huge reason because I I talked about it a lot you know during the season with in college like it was it was man it was it they they were they were awful to watch it was not good basketball and all that but the things he does really well is his transition one thing and we’ll get into deep but the things he does when he’s in transition he’s tough you you can’t really stop him and all that and because his defense is so good he’s he gets in space well he he allows him to get himself to get into space and if you know when with Reese beakman they were able to have find a lot of open you know easy buckets because you know he was just locking up people you know but so what he he’s an absolute monster in transition you know because he’s a 6 foot eight because of the wingspan and all that he’s you know a freaky I think he had a 39inch vertical you know at the combine you know so though that’s going to be the thing he he’s going to be able to do to be able to get on the court but the shooting man you know the shooting is something that it worries me it it definitely worries me whether it’ll ever C because like I said this guy was you know top five top 10 projection and it just you know it just didn’t come along even when things look good for Virginia and I watched a lot of ACC ball because I’m I’m a Duke fan and in the the games I did watch when they either they’re playing duke or just you know watching them play Carolina it just it just didn’t just didn’t feel right he just didn’t feel comfortable at times and then if he did he would rush it you know it was just e it was either one or the other you know you know or and when he missed he misses bad he misses bad so um I just I just wonder if if I if I’m too hard them because of you know because the offense but the offense was being so bad at Virginia like is that should I should I uh should I put too much stock into that or should I kind to give him a pass because it was bad and you know you know if he goes to if he comes to New York he’ll you know he’ll have more spacing you know because obviously once you get to the NBA the spacing is going to be 10 times you know uh 10 times better than is in college you know how College everything so compacted and all that Z you know we know how that works so you wonder if he’s a prospect that just you know just suffered from just being on a really bad offense and you and you buy the physical traits and you buy that the shot because it the shots not too bad it’s definitely the little things that need to get worked and all that but you know he can figure it out you know with proper coaching at the next level but he he’s an interesting Prospect man like I said 6 foot eight seven foot plus wingspan and the defense is and I I mentioned before Alex are you know the defense being all everything his defense he can be all he jayen McDaniels level like that type of defensive prospect you know he he’s that he’s that type of Defense he he can smother you I mean going against you know Harrison Ingram all these all these top level guys you know Hunter Salis you know jarem MCC J jerem McCain he gave them he gave them he gave them the business man he’s he can switch one through five you know he he’s just he’s great on ball great off ball great instincts great in drop cover you know can protect the r that’s another interesting thing he he he was I think he led the the ACC in blocks I think he was at 2.3 blocks per game so he can protect the rim you know so you you can’t really beat him like it was very rare that I saw people beat him off the DB and if they did he made him pay by blocking their shot like you saw that a lot with him he’s very he’s an intriguing Prospect and I think he’ll be there in the 20s like I said I w’t matis Dall that’s the thing you have to but at at the 20 at the 24th and 24th pick if you get a matis Dall that’s not bad I know we want more with the shooting and all that but I I I I think he’s a way better shooter he could be a better shooter at this point than matis Dall was coming out of Washington I I I do think that I I MA matis coming out I wasn’t crazy about it but with with uh with dun I think you not even ask him to be you know you know uh 40 you know 38 you know if you can get him in the low thir you know 33 to 35 you know along with everything else like he’s a you know the slashing ability and all that he’s going to be you know someone that uh in in the 20 to 24 fif fifth pick you know it’s someone at one point like I said one point I thought he was top five top 10 I I definitely he’ll be there in the in by 24 25 I just think the the shot is something that’s going to take a few to uh to work on you got to work on them and I trust that you know with the Knicks that they’ll develop the shot over time but what’s gonna what’s going to be his calling card is defense he he I I mentioned like I had in the article the strengths defense defense defense he gonna lock up he gonna lock and you know that’s what T tibs like you know um you know that’s what tibs likes and that’s what if that’s what’s going to get him on the court that that’s something we need you know athletic wing and like I said Hees there’s no there’s no pressure for him to have to play you know play you know be that type of shooter right away you know he can develop you know work on his def you know can show that he can lock up and then work on the offense you know as we come along and um drop into the mid 20s from him to it’s it’s it’s the shot man like I I see people seeing you know him dropping from you know being a potential top five to 20 it’s it’s just shooting man I and like I mentioned before being at Virginia didn’t do him any favors man like I mentioned if if you watched any college basketball Virginia was rough it was a tough it was a tough watch but if you just if you if you if you buy the that you can work on the offense then you take him in 20 24 25 you know uh he’s it’s I think he’s worth it at this point you know they need to to the Knicks need to get some some wings they we need Wings we need upside wings too I think I don’t think you can come out of this draft without an upside Wing uh so he’s someone I I like I like done a lot I liked them in the beginning of season towards the end I mean if if if you’re if you’re scared about offense his last I believe his last 20 games if I remember he only had one 10-point game only one 10-point game so like I said don’t expect too much the free throw shooting is another thing it’s not great it’s not great you know so that I mean and if that’s an indicator about his shooting you know you worri about the free three First the free throw shooting at 53% I think it was around there but you’re not right now you you’re drafting him because of the defense because of what he can do in transition and you’re you’re hoping that in the next few years you can get the shot to go and and he could be a respector shooter down the line but you know he’s someone that uh in the 24 24 pick you you consider him because of the the high his upside there the defense is is the defense is impactful from the from the minute he plays that you’re going to see that you know and the transition transition offense you know so but you you’re you’re hoping that the the shot comes along the next few years Bo you know uh I I’ll get me you know like I said call in let me know what you feel about Ryan Dunn he’s someone that I’ve seen a lot of Nicks fans you know you’re very intrigued about I’ve seen a lot of people want him and all that some people aren’t because of the shooting so let me let me know call in 65738 31509 or hit up the Discord and let’s talk about it and who and whoever other prospects that you guys like so let me talk about the third my third prospect that I’m very intrigued about and that is Tristan the Silva out of Colorado he’s someone that I in beginning of the beginning of the year he was one of my sleepers I I loved his game I loved I loved his shooting ability you know size you know the how he is as a Team Defender all those things you know and and just his IQ his IQ is off the charts and he he backed it up with a tremendous season at Colorado and at one point he was probably between maybe back in second round to the you know me an undrafted two-way type of guy but now he’s someone that is is clear-cut a first round pick and maybe he can go one high I’ve heard people say that he can go as high as you know 14th 15th you know so he’s someone that I don’t I don’t feel as confident that he we even have opportunity to get him at 24 at 25 but you know he’s an old he’s an older guy you know at 23 but you know his three years at col these last three years at Colorado over 37% shooting from three points so he can shoot it can shoot off the dribble can shoot off the catch great off pick and rolls 40% spot up shoot 40 uh he shot 40% as a spot up shooter 42 off screens you know catch and shoot I think he was like four high low 40% shoot so he can shoot is that simple he got a clip he can shoot with the best of them one of the better Shooters in college bascle this season and that’s that’s something we need wings that can shoot you know especially with the and I think now I see people liking you know the Sila a lot and I think he could be some you know with with banovich not having the season what and now with a lot of unpredictability whether he’ll be back and all that I think this would be a it’s obviously a cheaper you know uh replacement and someone that can fill in the same role and a better Defender than than than banovich is you know uh does doesn’t have the greatest measurables and you know Tristan doesn’t have all you know with all you know that he brings but he could shoot it that’s the number one thing he can shoot it and like I said he could shoot it in different variations it’s not just spot up shooting like I mentioned off the catch off the dribble great Team Defender just solid as it is and I think with Picks 2 I man if he’s there with one of those he I’m you have to take him like I said another guy who fits in that tips mold is gonna he’s gonna work hard that’s all you heard about a Colorado is his work ethic you know he’s first in F you know last one out he’s going to bring it defensively he can shoot did I mention he can shoot he can shoot we need shooting Wing match up with Boston with onedimensional players they’re G to take advantage of them out there this is the Brony draft Chris and in the Brony draft you can kind of sneak players that really you wouldn’t have a chat they looking at before because everybody’s giving the publicity to him and they’re sleeping on a lot of players in this draft so I mean what do you think about that Jaylen Tyson is someone uh and I appreciate the call Jaylen Tyson is a is someone I like a lot he can shoot I think people you didn’t you didn’t hear much about him because he played at Cal and Cal hasn’t been good at basketball in in a minute but he’s someone he can he can handle the rock he can shoot it can play make he he’s just he’s an allaround good offensive player I think I worry like we talk about tibs type of guys I don’t know if he’s a tibs guy like a lot of my thought process when I’m going over like Nick’s targets and all that is who tibs gonna like you know and I know some people don’t like that and and don’t think y That’s how you should draft you should just draft on you know players that you know that you think are just going to be good down the line but I I I I don’t know if he’s a tips guy I think he it could be a situation where you know W with with with Tyson that he can struggle to get on the court because of the defensive stuff now offensively like you mentioned he can he’s someone we need you know you know he can shoot it all that but the defense is the one thing with with with Tyson that I think can can uh can can be something that could be tricky and then we can get to kind of like Obi top and stuff maybe not to that level but it’s something like that where you you know offensively they can can do some but the defense is something that uh um that with tibs he ain’t going to rock with he ain’t going to rock with if you don’t play defense you ain’t getting on the court and we see like with with McBride and I know you mentioned they dumb with the offense I mean McBride came in and he was known as a Defender right that’s why he dropped to the second round because people were worried about well can he create offense for himself right because I had a top 20 grade on McBride he want going to the second round and he showed you know he showed you know especially in the playoffs I mean he had some some big offensive games so I think you could learn the off like I said I mentioned with d he was in a really bad offense they there was no spacing at Virginia and I know there was the times where he even when he had it but when you’re when you’re not used to you know open looks and all that sometimes it just you know you’re like OHA I can’t believe I’m open because it just it didn’t happen What go watch Virginia tape and and see how bad it was so you know I think you could you can the offense can come around you know you can build that but he does stuff that tibs is going to like the defense and all that so that’s why I I like done where Tyson I think the defense could is where a little bit worrisome and I like Tyson a lot I have a top 20 grade on even top 15 grade on I think I think he’ll go higher but I think but as far as khil Weare is is it interesting but he he’s he’s scares me he scares me too so we we’re gonna get and you mentioned you mentioned ye Missy and that’s the next guy we’re going to talk about uh he’s a very interesting Prospect you know uh from Baylor and th this this pick this target for me all is all it’s predicated on the situation with with hardenstein and Mitchell because it it does feel like one of those guys are probably on the outs whether it’s hardenstein getting the bag from another team or trading Mitch you know they’re going to need you know to figure out that situation you know whether you know you know who’s going to be the backup and Jericho Sims is not the answer please I don’t know if there’s any Jericho sins fan but I am not one of those I am not one of those guys I’m not a Jericho sins fan so you’re gonna need to upgrade if hardenstein or Mitchell Robinson is no longer there uh and I I I can see I’m not the biggest yees guy fan so I’m with some of the people in the chat that say they’re out on these cuz he’s kind of just a rim he’s a rim running big he’s massive I think he like a 73 74 Wings span he is you know he he but he’s super raw even defensively yeah he’s uh you know I think he had two blocks a game and but he’s super raw fouls man the fouls are worry me even in big games yeah yeah yeah it’s not Sims it’s definitely not Sims I am not on ask anybody I’m not I’m not a Sims when he goes in the game I get FR but there’s there is things Sims I mean that yees does better than Sims it’s just the some of the little stuff like like screens and all that though those little things I do like with ye but if they don’t if guys like khil if some of the big The Bigs are gone you know and yees is there I do believe yees will be there at 24 to 25 I outside the the restricted area so there there is the the offense is not there but he is a tremendous and in open space pick and roll monst I mean yeah he’s kind of like Mitchell Robinson you know so if you lose Mitch you get a younger version of Mitchell Robinson so and that’s something that still Valu he’s going to be able to block shots he’s going to and some of the issues that Mitch had early in his career with the fouls and you know the foul the foul trouble you know and all that that’s something GES is going to have to fix but I think that can that can definitely that he has things that are definitely fixable in the league you know as far as the fouling and and some of the the defensive lapses he even have you know but the offense is not going to be there so if you’re expecting him to to to uh ever to ever come even develop a little midi it’s probably not going to happen but he is a rim running big super athletic like I said the wingspans there you know he’s going to be able to block shots everywhere he is he is a specimen he he is a specimen and all that and pick a rolls with with Brunson you could definitely see him you know um you know do some good things so uh we got we 24th to 25th pick and go out and get the Jon Murray you feel me I feel like that’s the move that the Knicks need to make we need a we need another Premier guard next to Brunson we need somebody that can you know facilitate for him and he’s also um interchangeable with other pieces that we already have a guy like douche Josh Hart um Diva chinzo I feel like you bring in the dejonte Murray because I’m looking at Atlanta and I feel like Atlanta is Sellers and I’ve been hearing rumors that they possibly May Trey Trey young and move down and all of these things so if that could happen that’s what I would like the Knicks to do and as if we’re gonna make we have to make a pick so with the 38th pick I’m gonna bring up a sleeper this is a guy I did a lot of research on him his name is Jaylen Bridges he was a red shirt then he played in West Virginia and then he played his junior year in Baylor I like the kid he’s a he’s a high volume shooter scorer he shoots about 5.13 attempts he’s shooting 41% from three shooting about 78 79% at the free throw line the guy was just like he basically was just like a bucket getter you feel me somebody that could come in and score I like the way he gets to the rim I wouldn’t say he’s a lock down Defender but he averaged one point one Stills for his um junior year and he um he played pretty well in my opinion and he 23 years old so it’s not like he’s a baby you know so I just wanted to pick your brain on that and also a guy that I’m really interested in one of these two is either Don Holmes or Tyler Smith because I feel like the Knicks need a lot of floor spacing and I feel like it has to come from like the power forward Wing position three so that’s those are really the guys I’m looking at Don donon Holmes uh Tyler Smith and my sleeper uh Jaylen Bridges out of um B shout out to you brother appreciate you for having me on appreciate you Jaylen Bridges and it seems like a lot of people in the chat are do like Jaylen Bridges I wouldn’t even be mad if they take him at 25 one of the first round picks you know he he’s a he he has the size they need at a wing 6′ s 6′ around there right you know can shoot that that’s something we need we need Wing shooting that’s something that and I said solid Defender can rebound I wouldn’t I wouldn’t be mad if they take him at you know at 25 with one of the first round picks if they keep him now the trade scenario you had that’s where I’m gonna I don’t know about that I I don’t know I I don’t know I don’t know about that uh de jante you know to so you said right trade the picks the deante I don’t know I’m not crazy about deante like that uh so I I don’t that I’m not a big deante guy so I’m not crazy about that but another big name that and I see a lot of people in the chat you know talking about Don Holmes that’s someone I like a big that can shoot you know he kind of he he kind of reminds me of like you know Nas Reed that type of player like could you know six foot eight I think I think Don’s like 610 and all that but he could shoot it you know and he C and I had a top 20 grade on top 202 2025 grade on on the Ron Holmes last year I thought he should have came out last year I thought he’s gon be first round pick this year he’s I think he’s solidified but I think he’s someone that that’s G maybe gone by the time we pick that’s the thing you know I think he could be gone by there uh um you mentioned Jaylen Smith uh uh Smith out of uh the G League I I I like him Ty Tyler Smith Ty Smith yeah I’m thinking about Indiana uh Tyler Smith kid not going to like him just not gonna play him he don’t play defense not even a little bit he don’t play defense at all I’ve seen people mention Julius Randall with him because if you watch his offensive game it it there’s a there’s a real resemblance not just with the Lefty but everything he does but he don’t play defense we know tibs that’s not going to rock with tibs and I guess mention for people may not like that that we I’m referring so much to TI but there that’s that’s a real thing that we have to that we have to when I’m doing this I’m thinking like is tips gonna play him are we gonna have another OB topping situation Tyler Smith I think the offense is there I think he he could be one of the better offensive players in this draft he can do everything he’s smooth mid-range can shoot it off the dribble athletic all that the defense is it’s it’s not even and I know he’s young he can develop but you know I don’t know I don’t I don’t know if it’s it can develop the way on this team on this Knicks team I don’t know if he’ll get the opportunity you know and you if you don’t play defense especially where we’re at with our roster found with our foundation maybe if this is a younger team yeah you you can get away but now with this team I could see another OB topping situation and but I I do like I like I do like him because the offense to me is is he’s one of the better offensive players in this draft but I think uh Tyler he just he struggles defense not even struggles man he just don’t play it he don’t play it and I know the G League they they was a lot of things going on you know the roster construction and now they’re no longer they’re defun now it’s kind of crazy but it was a lot going on with him Ron Holland balis there was a lot of thing but I just worry that he’s just not the defense is he ain’t gonna get in the court and it might just be Obi top and 2.0 you know what I’m saying but I want to talk about you know here’s another Prospect that’s very polarizing and someone who’s rising up the draft boards and at one point you know maybe this time last year was maybe like oh he’s a second round pick and he he’s very polarizing and that’s Zach Edy and I’m very curious to see your guys thoughts on Zack Ed because he’s very polarizing because there’s people that are like all right yeah especially in this draft yeah take them top 10 top 15 and then there’s people like nah I’m not with it is can you play is the endurance going to be there is he going to be is he going to be can you not be able to play him in the fourth quarter you know but he’s Rising guys he’s Rising you know he went from you know he went from being back into the second round so just like this year he I think he each each game and all that he improve his endurance improved great you know just his his touch was improved his shooting everything you know he’s a great free throw shooter and that’s one thing with bigs we kind of like see if they have that you know if that’s something that we can see down the line I think I think he’d be able to expand his game to the to the three-point line and be pretty good at it he did some good stuff at the combine and all that I know it’s the combine but he did some good stuff I I I think I could buy the shot long term being good because I think for him to be effective I think he’s gonna have to develop that outside shot but Zach Edy is the very intriguing Prospect because he’s someone obviously 7 foot4 you know can can protect the rim can’t misdirect every his presence alone even in the NBA I think his presence alone is going to give people just a headache not to the level I’m not saying he’s he’s Victor wanyama at all but we saw what Victor did from the jump like just because him being 7 foot four 7 for five him being there even in the NBA had guys like all right I’m not even going to try and I know Zach is nowhere near that has nowhere near the lateral quickness or any of that but him just being there just being there his physical presence is gonna Al he’s gonna be able to just change the other team’s offense even if it’s just for 15 20 minutes you know and I’ve seen some people in the chat they’re like okay they get it in you know Zach is I see Zach is our guy I take him at 24 doubt that’s the thing and that’s where I want to go I’m hearing more and by each day that he’s he’s he’s rising up and there’s teams you know if you think about Memphis that could be a spot where he could I think I definitely see Memphis in play for him but that’s someone like I mentioned before with the with hardenstein and Mitchell Robinson most likely one of them not going to be there I just find it hard for them the Knicks to be paying a lot of money to two centers and I think I I believe hardenstein is going to take the bag and he deserves it because he’s he played he played absolutely great basketball and even you know when he was in Clippers he was underrated and all that so there’s a got big possibility that you know hardenstein is not there so you take a chance on Zach Edy at at 24-25 if he’s there I want to get your you know let me know your thoughts you know like I said call in 657 pick and roll ball handler and an isolation scorer this year uh while also shooting 36% from three on SE I think it was like seven attempts per game which is pretty high um just wanted to hear your thoughts on him Ken Shannon he’s just an absolute bucket score like he just he was able to to this year really Elevate his scoring even more than he did in previous years he’s someone that’s been on my draft radar for I mean it feels like since the covid year like he’s been he’s been on my radar he’s someone that you always saw the potential with the scoring but could never figure it out but this year I mean he had some monster games monster games you know I think he had a he had a I think he had a 40o game I forgot against to uh he had bunch of 30o games just explosive games and all that he is a a tremendous score there there are things to you know and you know the whole court case and all that I think that was the biggest thing that teams were worried about the biggest thing that teams were really worried about with him was what’s going on off the court as we saw saw everything was cleared and he’s you know there’s nothing on he’s good so that’s one thing we don’t have to worry about you know with him and all that because I know you know I heard from people saying that teams had him off their boards 100% off their boards until they until everything off the court got situated he was Untouchable they were not going to draft him you know so but that’s no longer the case and he’s you know he’s cleared and and now we can kind of fairly evaluate him as a as a basketball player and then as a basketball player he he’s he’s definitely you know a a special talent but the thing is he’s not gonna have the ball in his hand the way he did at Illinois what is he as a off ball player that’s the thing I I don’t I we have to see I didn’t see a lot of that so if if if he’s able to be a good off ball player and be able to shoot you know be in the corner and shoot a little bit that’s the thing can he be that type of player because he’s not going to be able to have the ball in his hand a lot and he is an old he is an older Prospect I think he’s going to be 24 about before not and like at this point in a draft you’re not really worried about age and all that but that is something that you know you know teams kind of but I think you know as a offensive scorer off in the second unit with this Knicks team I think that he could definitely do some things he he is intelligent and all that so he you could you know he definitely would provide definitely help the scoring with the second unit but you know the off the court stuff is all that and I I think he’ll be he’s definitely going to be there at 24 25 so there he he’s a he’s someone that you know with all the stuff that’s off the court stuff he he’s he’s good to go so you know do I I don’t think I don’t think I know don’t get mad at me I don’t know if he’s a tibs guy that’s the thing I don’t know if he’s a tibs guy I don’t know if it’s the mold the defense is inconsistent like I said I I I’m thinking of guys who fit the tibs mo who I know that he will play and who will be able to you know and I don’t know if he’s that guy but he’s definitely in he’s definitely a a one of the better scorers in the class like I said he’s played a lot of high level in the Big 10 playing high level basketball for a lot of and this year he took a a leap and you usually don’t see guys this old take that leap as a score you know especially a guy 232 but he took massive leap as a score and all the distractions he had to deal with I mean I don’t know if you guys you know watched a lot of big 10 or Illinois but some of the crowds were they they were ruthless they were ruthless and college basketball crowds can be nasty he had a deal with a lot of people saying some nasty stuff to him and he handled it like he handled like a pro even you know just had the media he handled everything like a pro so he he’s someone that I don’t know if the Knicks would think about taking him 2425 he’s you know he’s an he’s a he’s a absolutely fabulous score and and but I don’t know I don’t know if he’s fits in the M with tips guy he’s not tips guy so you know we gotta you know that that’s kind of my thought process but he’s he’s a bucket he’s a bucket and he’s gonna make a team you know very uh very second round or something like that but you know I’m just glad everything with him is off the court is good because that was something that really would affect his his uh his draft stuff because like I said teams were like off the board completely with um I had another one if you had time too hell oh we hear you you’re still there oh yeah um I also wanted to hear your thoughts on um pH Philip Kowski from duke um I feel like he’ll be there around um that range too 24 25 um just thinking about him as a possible like big option if uh um hartenstein leaves for the money you know OKC or whatever um not saying that he would be like an immediate player because I’m assuming that if hardenstein did leave uh precious would probably be resigned and he would be the backup but I would say Philip palsky to be like third big instead of Sims because it’s it seemed like T does not uh I think lost saith in in Sims for real in the playoffs after he got in and didn’t get across half court that one time didn’t didn’t see the floor after that so uh just a third big option that’s different from what they already kind of had on the roster yeah Philip like I said I’m a Duke fan so I watched a lot of Kyle filipowski and he’s tough man he he he has a very good Inside Out game you know I think I know the numbers may not show that he’s a good in per on the perimeter but I think I buy it long term I think he can definitely be a better like I said more spacing in in the NBA I think he can definitely be a better three-point shooter you know than the numbers show uh indicate the inside he he’s tough and all that he can he could pass I love his finishing he’s just he just he’s a really good player I don’t think he GNA be he’s going to be there that’s why I didn’t have him in in my in my five because I rest I would have I um the other guys I had I think they could be there I don’t think I think Philip Pal’s gone I had him in a mock I did a mock recently and I had him going I believe to Oklahoma City if I recall I feel like he’s the perfect Oklahoma City Thunder like he fist them perfect or or Orlando I forgot but I think it was Oklahoma City I had him going to you know in the lottery yeah I had him going to OKC so I think he fits what they I I if I’m OKC I don’t think you you he falls past you guys I think he fits perfect what OKC does as a stretch pig that’s exact something they really need yeah he yeah I think he’s gone yeah so phip pal I like him like I said Duke fan I watched him and all that he’s he’s intriguing Prospect he shoot it I think the shooting he could definitely shoot it once he gets to League the I think he’s gonna be there I think he’s going to be there late first round so that that see someone you know played overseas 6 foot1 220 you know actually I think I gave him I think he’s way he’s actually smaller than that I think he’s around 200 but I think the Knicks need to really think about you know whether it’s with the 38th you know in the second round take a chance on an upside wing and and try to develop him like he has he has I think at one point he’s another guy top 10 top 10 at one point coming into the season last year you know so he he has the frame he’s he can get strong that and that’s the thing that’s why take an upside Wing like this because he can get stronger you know I think he could get to 230 and still be effective you know he could shoot a little bit you know he has the defensive tools you want that tibs are like yeah uh Clinton would be a good pickup but where that’s the thing and and I don’t know if you guys have seen me on previous Nick draft shows or if you follow me on Twitter it see I feel like the Knicks are too scared they’re too they are and and you know uh BLX blocks yeah but we’re too scared you were’re too scared it does feel like at times the Nicks they get scared and and that’s why I mentioned before if there if their board goes a certain way and all their guys are gone or do they think they’re going to be gone are they will they be willing to trade up they have multip they have multiple ammun they have multiple assets to to move up to make something happen now do you want to do it with this draft and I understand that aspect but if there’s a guy you really like because I don’t I don’t think that they’re using both picks I think I I’ve seen it with in the chat I think you know I think we can agree with that I don’t think they’re going to use both first round picks so why not try to move up if if it is Jaylen Tyson for instance if that’s a guy like I said I don’t think that’s that fits what you know what tibs is what that does as a coach I don’t know if they G like him but do they do they you know take a chance and try to move up to get you know someone like that you know if if someone’s gonna drop too someone like I I was mad they didn’t go after Ken Whitmore last year like when he dropped I’m like why aren’t we trying to move up and then you didn’t even hear about them trying to move up I wonder if that happened if there’s if there’s a player if there’s a Like jacobe Walter for instance he’s someone I’ve heard that can possibly be falling in this class or Isaiah ker not but jacobe Walter would fit us way better than ker so if a jacobe Walther is dropping to let’s say he drops he’s dropping past the teams are you do you think about because he he he can shoot it he he does things that we need you the defense is uh not great but it’s it’s solid enough it’s not like some of the other Prospect where I’m like no I don’t buy it I so would they do that would they try to trade up but they haven’t shown that so I that’s why I’m not I don’t know if if trading up is an option so I I don’t want them to be scared like take your take the guy you want it feels like every time they the prospect not there they they get a little they get scared don’t be scared New York let let’s try to get a guy can help us like said I don’t expect them to use both first round picks but try to try to Target your guy and see you can get them if they gotta use both first round picks to get them you know that’s what you got to do but just I hope they’re not scared I hope they’re not scared I hope they do their
