O’Connor named Toronto Raptors veteran wing Bruce Brown as a top trade candidate for the Bucks and noted that swapping Lopez for Brown “is a perfect match of salaries, and then the Raptors could flip Lopez elsewhere.

So it looks like the part about the defense is a report while the part about Brook being traded was just a guess.

While I don’t like KOC and am always skeptical with what he says, this does make sense to me. It’s the most obvious way for the Bucks to make a significant change at this point. There’s a ton of teams that would want Brook even at his age.
It would be a sad end of an era though.

consensus online is that if we are looking to trade him, the bucks are tanking and ruining our core.
people seriously don’t watch us huh lol

As much as I will miss Brook, I’m still open to trading him if it’s a good move that improves the team. But the issue then becomes the fact that we literally don’t have a single center on the team. Yes Giannis and Bobby can play center, but neither of them should be doing that. Our big man depth has been so bad for so long

If the Bucks make a trade this summer I’ll be suprised. Just doesn’t seem workable with the assets the bucks have and targets available on the market. They made the moves last year and I feel like we’re sort of just locked into the people under contract+vet mins.

I can see Brook moving to the bench but he’s paid too much for a bench role.

I really feel if we can find a big who is more mobile then Brook in the draft and get a mobile wing like Brown who has shown that he can be a vital piece on a championship winning team. I don’t see how we can’t have that big either Ware or Missi have an impact like Lively did with the Mavs when Dame and Giannis are on the court with them.

I remember the John Henson days. Adding Brook to the team felt like a godsend. I get mad at Brook for poor rebounding and bad shot selection, but I don’t know who we replace him with that would do better.

One may say they plan to play random!

Interesting so we’d start Brown and Giannis at C? Still think we’d need a true center on the roster who can play with Giannis and eat up regular season minutes. Relying on a rookie might be a stretch. I like how the fo is trying to address how slow and old we look tho.

Brook Lopez & picks for Lu Dort & Josh Giddey
Money adds up, and feels like it makes sense for both sides getting younger with more wing options.
