Worst kept secret. Hope it turns out well.

I wanna be positive, let’s fucking go, prove them wrong JJ!

  3. Awesomefan09

I was really hoping Shams Charania would break the story because the pettiness between the two is hilarious to me.

    THAT’S ALL FOLKS!

on a more serious note.. it’s never not an entertaining day with the lakeshow. we’ll see what happens because I really don’t know what else to say

  5. LosAngeles1s

yk what fuck it, I’m going to root for the guy

  6. Oscar_322418

Well worse case he gets fired after Lebron retires

  7. XvS_W4rri0r

Whether you disagree with the choice or not he’s our coach now. Let this turn out to be the greatest hire

  8. Apollo611

How long until this sub calls for JJ and Pelinka to be fired?

  9. I have to be honest. I’m utterly disappointed

  10. Going to reserve judgement until we see how he coaches because in reality none of us know shit.

Want to see a great staff and we’re good. Get rondo on the phone

  12. slicknick2k

If it doesn’t work out, at least Pelinka will finally be gone too

I hope he becomes the next Steve Kerr.

I wonder what Warriors fans reactions were 10 years ago when Kerr became their head coach.

  14. I know it’s not saying a lot but it’s a gamble that either pays off ten fold in that the FO sees something or handicaps us for the last leg of ADs prime and LeBrons career.

If he uses his timeouts its already a massive improvement lmao. Excited to see if his ball analysis can reflect in his coaching. Not running plays was a huge weakness for the squad in recent years.

  16. If he doesn’t win a chip this next season, he likely won’t win one for us. Every coach that has won a chip for the Lakers won in his first year of coaching the team.

  17. Got no choice but to get on the wagon. The staff is gonna make/break this regime.

  18. My expectations are very low at this point for this organization so let’s see what Rob Pelinka does at the Draft & free agency

I’m amped simply because this sub has been trashing this guy for weeks. The sub has a 100% not-knowing-shit rate with coaches considering the heaps of praise Ham got initially so this has to be a good hire.

“Tonight chat, we go on a deep dive on how we lost the opening game of the season right here on Mind The Game”

  21. Unbelievable. This kind of decision writes us off till 2030 at the minimum.

Woj in shambles after confirming Shams reporting.

I THINK THIS IS A TERRIBLE IDEA BUT FUCK IT WE RIDE

  24. Tunesquad88mph

After the smear campaign the media has placed on this position, basically calling it the worst job in the NBA, I can definitely appreciate JJ’s willingness to take the job

  25. TallanoGoldDigger

    Bronny at 55 it is.

Really hope Joey or Jesse Buss take over basketball ops after Bron retires

  26. Great, we hired one of the only guys who thought AD wasn’t one of the best defensive players in the league last season.
