The LA Clippers met with Konstantinos Mitoglou in Athens, Greece earlier this month. 6’10 power forward is considered one of the best at his position. Mitoglou could exercise his NBA-out clause, and leave Panathinaikos after winning the Euroleague.

Some background & notes:
* Mitoglou has a €3M buyout. (comparison: Facundo Campazzo to DEN → €6M buyout, Gabriel Deck to OKC → €1.3M, Usman Garuba to HOU → €3M) The Clippers can pay directly to Panathinaikos only $725k (by the CBA restrictions) and the rest of the buyout will come out of Mitoglou’s own pockets in order for them to release him.
* This development between the two sides is due to Clippers former international scout Francesco Alfier who was promoted to a video analyst heading into ’23-24 season. The team was monitoring the situation.

As a Greek, YES
He just isn’t skilled enough for the NBA.
Watched the series against Maccabi and except for one game he was between decent and trash while a no show on defence like Jake cohen/ a much smaller bonzie colson guarded him
