Obviously take it with a grain of salt as Dan wasn't going to destroy his player right before the draft, but this is valuable information to have on how a player is viewed by his coaching staff. Here are the main points:
Wants to be drafted by a great organization with good structure
Has strong inner circle
He’s not a social media diva – doesn’t care about anything but ball
He’s a winner
Has a strong humility about him
Makes great reads on ball/with the ball in a complex system
Compares him a lot to Jrue Holiday but bigger at 6’7” that can guard 1-4 and finishes at the rim well.

I can’t put my finger on it as to why, but Castle is the only one in this draft where I’m constantly thinking “he’s the guy for us.” I don’t know if that means one day he could be an all-star, or if he just bottoms out as a decent roleplayer which is okay too. But this dude is the most Spurs-like prospect in this entire draft, and him going to another organization besides us wouldn’t even feel right to me. Even if he never develops his shot, he still can make an impact in the NBA with the tools he already has especially regarding his perimeter defense, secondary playmaking and finishing abilities. His mindset, demeanor, versatility, and positional size are all just the icing on top. He’s a high floor, infinite ceiling player.
One of the moments I was sold on this kid is when Bleacher Report asked a bunch of 2024 prospects: “who’s party are you going to- Kendrick or Drakes?” Castle was like “I’m not going to either”. He was the only one with that answer lol
