I’ve never understood the rumors of all these teams willing to pay Casino-Klay $80m+ over three years. Clearly just propaganda being thrown out there by Klay’s camp. If the Warriors were in contention it might make sense, just to fuck with them. But as a lottery team, no one cares anymore. Why would a GM want to carry that baggage, it would probably get them fired.

He was not good last year! He made a lot of 3s at a good percentage. This is true. But literally everything else was a negative. And he’s supposed to be an awesome scorer—then why is his true shooting below average? It makes no sense for teams to actually value him like a high level starter when he was not one last year.
