[Haslem] “Bam agrees as well — Bam knows the C role is one he can play, but there’s another role he can play as PF and be his best version. He can grow and mature and step away from the basket, shoot threes. When we talk about Jokic, Embiid… that wears on Bam over the course of the season.”

Find a center thats not a defensive liabilty and can shot create or screen/pass then sure. Yall want to dunk on the FO, but what is out there rn? Unless yall are ok with Edey and think he suddenly can not be a slow liability, then by all means.

I will always hate this take. Those repeating it don’t care to think past this possibility. What happens if you do move Bam to the 4? OK, he is the best 4 in the league, now what do you have at the 5?

You better have a top 10 center at the position. Right? Right? Oh, you couldn’t find that? So you are putting something mediocre at the fuckin 5, just so Bam is great at the 4 and the 5 is crushed and dominated by Embiid, Robinson, Jokic, etc.

No, wait. Bam can still guard all the opposing 5s at the 4, while the 5 replacement guards the 4…

Why the fuck did you move him to the 4 then??????? What is this obsession with moving a top 3 center in the league to a different position?

Truth is clear to me. They can’t get him a proper backup 5. Also have failed to give him a proper 4, so why not blame Bam.

Just when Jovic is improving and a proper 4 next to Bam, now they want to make this position shit loud. Go ahead, I would love to see the spacing with this miracle working 5 next to Bam and Jimmy.

Miss me with the bs, UD.

  4. Bam is so versatile, he can even play point if he wanted to.
