Noa Dalzell : Not sure if people saw this, but Al Horford confirmed to TMZ that he is coming back next season:
“There’s no question about it. I don’t know why those speculations were out there, that I was, like, retiring. But I’m still playing and I’m very excited for next season.”

Cmon let’s win #19 for Al before he retires, would be a perfect gift to end his career as the senior leader in the Celtics squad who helped the Jays grow to where they are right now
I don’t understand why people were making up rumors that he was retiring. He never said a word about it. Pretty ridiculous.
Well duh he literally has an extra 5 mill for playing
One thing Big Al showed during the playoff run is that he’s not too old. He not only contributed, which would have bee something in itself, but was an effective starter throughout.
Looked legitimately good as the first option while KP was out and won a ring last year. Why stop now
Being a repeat champ to end his college and professional career would be outrageously cool
Just heard a loud collective sigh coming from the general direction of Philadelphia
Al will start and end his career with back to back championships
Al will play as long as he’s good and has an opportunity to win.
I don’t care when he retires as long as he retires *with us*.
the last time Al defended a title? Florida went back to back… let’s gooooo
Aside from winning back-to-back, I didn’t want to see Horford retire so he could be in a Celtics uniform while getting his ring and seeing #18 go up in the rafters.
Retirement rumors began with his home near Boston hitting the market. Weird timing so people assumed math equations that didn’t include all the variables.
AL can keep playing at his age barring injury and added depth…. I can’t front but if the Celtics found a way to get Dwight Howard or someone of that cloth. Banner 19 looks more legit than before
DADDY AL GIVING ME LIFE!
I am super excited to have Al back. Literally couldn’t be happier.
BUT: I am slightly disappointed because I think he would be the perfect replacement for JJ Reddick in color commentary.
I would rather have him on our team, and he deserves whatever he wants, but his experience, number of teams, number of players he’s played with/against would make him a force to join the commentary booth.
I would think he’d be like Tony Romo before he got his giant contract and stopped trying.
ETA: My disappointment is that the position is clearly going to be filled this offseason, and won’t be available again for a few years.
