I have an NBA philosophy I think it is better to be bad than mid and I think the Chicago Bulls are the perfect example of why I would rather be bad than mid so earlier today uh Alex Caruso got traded for Josh Giddy and when wge tweeted that tweet everyone was like okay that’s fine and we are waiting for the pcks so sometimes W will tweet the pics a little bit later because sometimes the compensation will need another tweet in its entir but the more W was tweeting about it the more we realized that this was a straight up decision Alex Caruso for Josh giddy the player that just got played off the court in multiple playoff appearances like I I just watch my team win 14 games this season I don’t want to be where the Chicago Bulls are right now fan base wise like as a fan because I’ve been there as a Pistons fan I have been on that team that has refused to rebuild and made the wrong decision at each and every turn there Chicago Bulls turned down a couple of good deals reportedly because they were trying to make a playoff spot this was a team by the way that had a players only meeting at the beginning of the Season like the first game players only meeting this was a team that was doomed to be mid at best and it’s time to blow it up and what happens when a team that gets tricked into uh we can make the playoffs we could do whatever is that they miss opportunities that pass them by because they’re so focused on their end goal instead of being like hey maybe longterm this would be the best deal for us and trading Alex Caruso like this was a trade that should have happened during the season like if I’m Sam prey I know Sam prey messed up with the Gordon Hayward trade and he said my bad on that but this would be a perfect this would have been a perfect trade for the Thunder this playoffs because they would have had multiple Defenders to guard Luca they could have thrown Caruso they could have thrown Dort that would have been that would have been crazy if the Thunder were able to do this but no and that’s on that’s on the Thunder I mean I think the Thunder were a little bit like oh we’re the number one seed we really don’t need to shake things up meanwhile there was a player on their team who started by the way who everyone like every n not every number but there are a lot of numbers and metrics being like hey when this guy is on the court we are significantly worse but no it’s so annoying when you have a player like that Josh giddy is my least favorite archetype of basketball player it’s him and Ben Simmons where it’s like hey I need to have the ball to be anything valuable on offense also when I have the ball I’m only valuable at one thing and it’s passing and setting up teammates creating for myself isn’t the be that’s the worst combination of like I hope that that archetype in the league goes extinct I’m so I’m so serious and I know that that’s how I play at pickup basketball I don’t don’t care that’s different I don’t want it to be like oh hey let that man shoot okay so then my teammates don’t give me the ball because they’re letting me shoot but if I don’t have the ball I’m worthless on offense that just never fly okay whatever and I think the thing that pissed me off the most is that WJ W just started to do like PR spins for the trade under the trade and he called Josh giddy Allstar level caliber and everybody immediately was like what are you talking about is that what the Bulls said or is that like your evaluation because either of those are very concerning the Bulls just had kobby white gets second for most improved player who I think should have been the most improved player over Tyrese Maxi and then I know the Bulls are trying to replace Lonzo ball with a playmaker but I don’t know man I just don’t think this gets you anywhere this is and the fact the fact that on top of this you guys didn’t get picks off the team that had like 100 88 first round picks Sam prey has been stocking up picks I’m sure he could have given you one on a discount at this point but no a straight up trade that just shows that there’s levels to this front office stuff and I know that there’s some people that have been in my comments being like the Bulls won this trade actually uh giddy is a younger player or whatever I’m like yeah giddy’s a younger player but how good is he really and is he good enough for you to build a team around his needs which is like spacing which you guys don’t have spacing the Thunder had spacing in droves and giddy was still struggling to make that team better with all of that that Thunder team was perfectly curated for someone like giddy but now it’s you you need so much to make that work that now you’re like what’s going on and it’s annoying and I know that there are so many teams that would have wanted Alice Caruso at the trade deadline this playoff season there were probably so many teams like that’s an all defensive player now I know that like the Pistons got rid of bogdanovich and Alec Burks and those were like players that but the archetype of bogdanovich and Burks it’s so much easier to find than Caruso Caruso is a really great on ball Defender that isn’t that much of a negative on offense I mean he’s not the best shooter but he’ll knock some shots down and he’s not a shot creator that demands the ball or else he’s going to get pissy whereas bogdanovich and Burks if they’re not scoring buckets then they’re basically mannequins on the court I just don’t I just don’t think that the Bulls are really understand how valuable Caruso was because the trades that they turned down the officers they turned down like picks were involved or whatever they could have gotten I feel like they could have gotten Giddy and at least a second round pick some picks something man you’re not even asking for that what are you doing and I hope that when well this might indicate that the Chicago Bulls are doing a fire sale and I fear that the rest of these deals that they’re doing are going to be exactly like this where it’s like this front office is in over their heads and they do not know what they’re trading for I think that that’s definitely in the cards um if I’m a bulls fan I would tell I would pray I would pray that the Bulls stay away from Sam pressy again stay away from Brad Stevens stay stay away from Brad Stevens I don’t know I don’t know how much Brad Stevens wants to like change up this the championship stuff but stay away from him Danny a Tim Connelly stay away from Tim Connelly bro like cuz they’re going to fleece you man they’re they’re Built For This and your front office is not I’ve had Bulls fans saying that my friend Ricky I saw a tweet where he’s like the this this fromont office makes gar packs look like Jerry West bro I don’t think y’all understand how nuts that is of a statement for and for it to be like oh my goodness that’s the it’s so bad being a mid team cuz a bad team you’re like okay I don’t know what it is but at least it’s not working and we need to do something like I’m I’m so happy the Pistons won 14 games this season and then got rid of their coach got rid of their GM because that was a wakeup call being like hey this isn’t working for the Bulls they made the plan so they’re like oh this isn’t working but it could be working it could have worked you know we Lono comes back you know who’s just you keep getting tricked you keep getting tricked into the fact that your team is not good and your ceiling is so low and will not get higher until you actually dig through the basement and start over you got to tear the whole house down you can’t just keep trying to add Renovations you can’t keep trying to just add another layer of paint it’s still a bad house Tear Down the House House Chicago good Lord I’m pissed about this tweet and I’m not even a bulls fan I’m pissed about this trade and I’m not even a bulls fan y’all that’s that’s upsetting I feel bad for Kenny I feel bad for Rusty buckets I feel bad for bull I feel bad for Bulls fans because there’s a new generation of bulls fans that have not seen an NBA championship 1998 I feel bad for Bulls fans I didn’t think I would ever say this but when front offices kept getting run that poorly you start to realize it’s just like yo mid when your team is mid that is the most painful part of all when your team is bad you can check out you can be like oh we’re bad you can do whatever when your team is mid I feel like the longer your team stays mid the more you realize that your front office does not actually have what it takes to either uh push the reset button or either go all in because the Bulls are not being aggressive or conservative they’re just being neutral and that’s the worst thing you can do as an NBA for office is be
