What from the Mavs would interest you?

Given the following report, I’m curious where you all think JG’s trade value is at? Would you take salary filler and 1 protected FRP?Might be undervaluing him but that’s where my head is at

Especially if we draft a 4, would much rather see Tou/the new rookie playing the 4, as opposed to JG

At least 1 FRP. More if we’re taking back bad salary.

THJ + Kleber + lottery protected FRP. We then reroute THJ to Phi or Det for a SRP (or nothing)

  4. SupremeNBA

    Tim Hardaway Jr (16.1m exp.) + Maxi Kleber (11.0 M 2yr) + OMax (2.8M 3yr) + ‘25 1st round pick for Jerami Grant (29.7M 4yr)

Send THJ to a team such as the pistons or Magic for a 2nd round pick or buyout.

If we did not want Kleber we could buy him out also and have 11M on the books for this season and the next

Fills requirement for a young wing player plus a pick

The biggest issue is having to take back THJ and Maxi/Green for the salaries to work.

THJ is expiring so we could just eat it, try to offload him somewhere else but that may cost us assets, or waive him if the FO can move him and doesn’t want him taking up minutes / roster space

Green would easily be moveable in a 3 team or subsequent trade(s), but would hurt the value of assets we get back from Mavs (like wanting Omax)

Kleber has 2 years left, may be moveable or may not be, and I doubt the team would want to eat his salary / roster space too.

So if we could nab Omax and re-route Green to say the Magic or Rockets for anything really, get a 1st from the Mavs, I’d be a very happy camper. They’re contenders, but their 2nd best player is old and Grant fits exactly what they need so I can see them paying above market price for him. Worst case scenario I wouldn’t mind throwing a 2nd or 2 back their way if it means we can do the Omax + re-route Green type deal

But I also no next to nothing about the Mavs FO, what they value or how they build teams. Let me know if I’m completely off base

Depends on the protections. Especially after him having back to back 40% 3pt shooting seasons. His skillset and length is really valuable in today’s nba. Especially as a third option where you can maximize him.

People will argue about the contract but that’s pretty overblown imo and players like Grant that take care of their body produce well into their 30s.
