Not a fan of his game. Let’s draft some home grown talent. šŗšø

I donāt see that bad of an athlete when I watch him
I think thereās something to be said for American players getting months to train specifically for combine drills whereas Risacher was coming off a 70 game season and didnāt have the same opportunity
I donāt super care about his jumping cause heās so tall. More concerned with whether or not heās got the quickness + foot speed to guard and attack close outs

Heās a good shooter and ok defender. The rest of his game needs a lot of work. A LOT.

Not particularly. A few things to keep in mind. He just came off of a grueling season, and playoffs. Not to make excuses, but pretty much all of the French guys tested relatively mediocre athletically even guys like Salune Who was expected to be big time athlete. Some of his stuff could simply have been exhaustion
Secondly, from people I respect when it comes to international scouting, I’ve heard a lot of the players over there don’t go through the same kind of athletic training that’s common in the states and college game. I think at NBA level strength and conditioning coach will do wonders for him
Biggest thing for me is the eye test. There were moments this year where he looked actually incredibly bouncy and quick on his feet against much higher level of competition than a lot of his peers. He’s not going to be an Uber athlete but he was never viewed as one. He was viewed as someone with a really good motor, great positional size, and advanced understanding of the game on both ends. He’s a smart 6 ft10 dude who’s going to bust his butt and probably be able to switch three or four positions on defense with ease
Him not being someone who’s going to be in the dunk contest anytime soon is not a concern. If I had worries about his motor or his basketball IQ then I’d be a bit more worried, but those are both good strengths of his in my opinion

If heās there at 4, you take a swing. You definitely do not trade up for him. Iād even consider Sheppard over ZR if thereās also there at 4.

Did you see that awful shot chart of Castle’s? This is just not a great draft. Every young prospect has a lot of questions to their game

I mean Iāve never been on the Risacher train I never saw top 5 with him. Anywhere around 10 is ideal thou.

Always was

I mean, Morrison destroyed his ACL after the athletic measurements and had no defensive instincts, Intellect, or ability. So I don’t think the comp is 1 to 1
Doonesbury
Can someone ELI5?
zKaios
It’ll be a problem for the Hawks/Wizards. The Spurs aren’t trading up and if he’s there at 4 any faults he might have don’t really matter because he’ll be BPA
