The Lakers are shopping the No. 17 pick, and Jerami Grant is a potential trade target, per @JakeLFischer

"Los Angeles has also made that No. 17 selection available via trade, sources said, as the Lakers have evaluated the market for a significant contributor alongside James and Davis…Jerami Grant, a client of Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, is believed to be another potential addition on the Lakers’ wishlist, according to league sources.”

17th pick and what else? Lmao the Blazers better not take some random jumble of players like Gabe Vincent, Rui and the 17th

Seems highly unlikely because 1. We heard all season from our local media guys that Cronin didnt want to move guys for more draft capital in this class…. would be weird to go back on that now.

    2. JG is clearly worth more than the 17th pick in a bad draft.

Wanted to pass this along though because Jake Fischer is the guy saying this, and if nothing else it tells us the Lakers are interested in acquiring Grant

I’d have to guess their offer would be #17, Vanderbilt, and Vincent, to which I’d just hang up.

Unless there is a three team deal, none of the Lakers trade pieces are interesting. Grant would be more valuable helping develop the team over any mid offer.

Hasn’t it been decades since the last time these two have been trade partners?

Portland not trading their best player for scraps because a team like the lakers or Mavs need better players. Sorry try again

The whole second apron thing means players can’t be aggregated…not sure how it’s possible for the Lakers to get JG.

17th and the 2025 1st would interest. If the trade happens after the draft that is viable. Maybe Portland includes their 2nds and 17th and 14th are combined to move up. So Portland adds two players for one in the trade as well as more 2025 capital.

We haven’t traded with them since 1980. This is a streak that needs to continue.

I wouldn’t expect Grant to be moved this offseason, for picks in this draft, unless we are getting a talented younger player back as well.

Outside of AD, Bron, Rui, and AR-15 (who they won’t move) is worth Jerami Grant? 17th pick in a garbage draft is an immediate hang up.

Doesn’t make sense to trade JG, especially for that little of a return. He’s the starting PF and we don’t have anyone close to his level. Vando doesn’t help either.

What the Lakers have to offer makes no sense for Portland. That doesn’t mean that a deal CAN’T happen. I’d be okay with #17 + JHS and another unprotected 1st and maybe even Rui… but the Lakers need to find someone with cap space to take their “Salary filler.”
Even then, I’m only interested if 17+14+??? Gets us up into the top 10.

Would 17+14+JHS be enough to get us to 8?

  13. Jerami Grant bidding war happening behind the scenes?

If Rob Pelinka is reading this, we don’t want Cam Reddish back

Grant has underwhelmed since coming here. Why keep him if you aren’t gonna try to win?

Keep trading until you draft Sarr 💯

I’d love to see some post LeBron lakers picks in the mix. That way we are picking high when the lakers are bottoming out.

Rui, 17 and a future first for Grant and 40 works for me
