[Amick] While some have surmised that James might be content coasting in these final Lakers years, league sources say he desperately wants to win at the highest of levels again. … He remains open to the prospect of playing two, or even three, more seasons before retiring.

Idk about that. The past two years LeBron was clearly trying to get us in the playoffs and gave a shit once there

If he wants to take a pay cut after his next contract he could totally compete. No one can build a winner around him with a huge contract.

  3. He clearly has some weaknesses at this age that we have to address with other players around him, but how can you watch him and think that he doesn’t try to win.

People are confused but there’s absolutely are people who say Bron doesn’t care of winning no more. That is out there.

take a paycut to build the roster??????????????

how can we remove the paywall for this article?

They are confusing Lebron for Kawhi, which is common for the media

  8. Stop complaining to the refs and get back on defense. That’s the first step to becoming a winner again.

Take a pay cut then. Just enough for flexibility under the 2nd apron. Anything less than that and he isn’t serious.

The only people who think he doesn’t wanna win or isn’t good enough anymore are the people who don’t watch him 😂

  11. Imagine thinking such an accomplished and wealthy player is willing to play 21-24 years for anything else.

Let’s be honest when it comes to building a legacy not all championships are considered equal by a lot of people….if Lebron ONLY cared about winning he could take less money and join a super team….but it’s about having that perfect ratio in which you also get full credit for winning without being completely overloaded with talent….Bron ain’t adding nothing to his legacy playing with another super team….

Me: Hey LeBron, how many more years are you going to play? LeBron: Not 1, not 2, not 3……

What else would he do if he retired ? Podcast?

dude is insane we’ll never see anyone like him again

  16. If he desperately wants to win at the highest levels again, then he needs to stop eating up a Supermax contract as a 40 year old man. The team needs to have options to make up for his lack of defensive effort. They need depth. They need youth. They can’t get those without cap space. He’s already a billionaire, why does he need to handicap the team financially, if he truly wants to win? He plays with insane effort, but imagine if the team had like, 2-3 more high quality players to put around him…
