The team needs to have options to make up for his lack of defensive effort. They need depth. They need youth. They can’t get those without cap space. He’s already a billionaire, why does he need to handicap the team financially, if he truly wants to win? He plays with insane effort, but imagine if the team had like, 2-3 more high quality players to put around him…
