Ryan Dunn Could Be The PERFECT Draft Pick For The Phoenix Suns?
what up this your boy Flex from Jersey we in the Four Peaks mini bar this is the phnx prospects and the profile we’re going to be going over today small forward Virginia Ryan Dunn 67 215 with a 7-1 wingspan this guy’s projected to go late first round early second round but there’s some stuff going on behind the scenes this guy is having amazing workouts this guy is climbing up the draft board and there’s a lot of teams that are very interested in Ryan D and your Phenix Suns at 22 it’s one of them so with that said let’s talk about some strengths and some weaknesses Ryan Dunn is a defensive demon this guy brings so many things defensively that it’s almost hard to keep track of if you want defensive rebounds he’s got it you want offensive rebounds he’s got it if you want passing Lane you want manto man 94 feet on ball defense you want off ball defense you want athleticism a guy that can cut to the basket and finish with the best of them a guy that can put pressure on the rim be a live threat this kid just does so many Dynamic things defensively and offensively that he he’s a hard guy to pass up on super talented Uber talented and really high potential as a defensive prospect when I say high potential with with as a defensive prospect we’re talking about a guy that I think can come in day one the most NBA ready body in the NBA draft this guy can come in and play right now but with that said he’s got some weaknesses and his weaknesses are very clear until the point he shot 20% from three and 53% from the free throw line so he’s not a great shooter but I want to give some context behind the three-point shooting over two years at Virginia he shot 23% from three on 0.8 attempts so he’s not even taking one attempt a game which means that the sample size is very low and that shooting percentage could be deceiving so he does have some shot issues but think they could be corrected and what he brings on the defensive end uh super exceeds that problem in regards to jump shooting when we talk about NBA comps this is interesting the guy that jumps out to me herb Jones from the New Orleans Pelicans herb Jones this guy played four years at Alabama and had very similar shooting issues up until his last year at Alabama he was roughly a 25% three-point shooter on roughly the same attempts a little bit under one attempt a game and he shot 41% from three with the uh with with the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA this year so this is a guy that fix his shot but also brings defensive intangibles and is ranked as a top 60 to 65 player in the league right now so herb Jones is a really good player and I think Ryan Dunn fits that mode I think Ryan Dunn is a herb Jones type player and if the Phoenix Suns can draft him at 22 that would be terrific how does he fit with the Phoenix Suns with if Phoenix Suns need point of attack defense they need man-to-man defense they need off ball defense they need more rebounding they need a guy that can attack the basket and finish with authority in traffic they need a guy that can break down defenses and get some of these guys open looks and open threes there’s a concept that Ryan dunk can’t shoot the three so our offense will be bogged down well my argument to that is I think he can attack the basket I think he can fail Lanes I think he can back cut and I think he can generate offense and generate three pointers just on his movement and again what he does defensively is terrific so I love this kid I love this Prospect I think he’s going to be terrific and I actually believe if he’s on the board at 22 this is the guy the Phoenix Suns are targeting and this is the guy I’d be thrilled with if they walk away with with the phnx uh prospects it’s your boy Flex from Jersey peace out

Flex really likes him, but I don't think you can just teach a dude who is that bad at shooting how to shoot. You think his high school and college coaches didn't try? Plenty of resources in the NBA sure, but Andre Roberson and Tony Allen never learned. Neither has Josh Okogie.
Great job Flex I think Tyler Kolek with his experience and pt. Guard skills can be a difference maker. Set the table for the big 3 and take pressure off them handling the ball.
