what is going on everyone trust the buzz here if you’re new to the channel I make sure horn this content so if that interest you make sure you go ahead and hit that subscribe button down below if you cannot tell by the thumbnail title of this video I have a special special video for you today I know I didn’t follow up on my promise on doing like individual videos about the prospect but you know with thumbnails being taken the the the the content I’m talking about like my talking points being taken it it just really for this to be a hobby it was like this ain’t worth it um but I kind of settled down got got kind of right in the right mindset and I’m ready to go and just you know all that other stuff is just other stuff so I’m going to bring you a big episode where we talk about everybody everybody that can L at six whether I like them or not we’re going to talk about guys that I like that maybe the Hornet should think about if that’s their guy they should trade back for we’re even going to talk about second round prospects in this jumbo episode my goal is for this to be an hour of good content I have my players broken down into tear and my tear necessarily is isn’t where I value them in the draft it’s more so where I value them for the Charlotte Hornets specifically and also where I have them as far as how I feel so the individual players in the individual tiers there’s no difference in terms of there’s three to four guys in every tier so if you look at a tier the guy I mentioned first in one tier and then I mentioned another guy last it doesn’t mean that I feel one way or the other it’s I can’t decide as far as how I would feel cuz I can see the fit and I can see you know the promise of each individual player so I just kind of want to make that clear it’s just about how I feel I was unable to do 1 2 3 4 I just couldn’t do it um so what we’re going to do is just do it by tiers and that’s just technically how I feel tiers one is like obviously the best tier but tier two aren’t guys I hate either like it’s it’s more so I prefer these guys some of those guys in tier one may not even be available so I completely understand that’s why I have tier two and that’s why certain players in tier 2 like I said doesn’t mean they’re not they’re bad players it doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t want to Horn to draft him it’s more so I you know I prefer these guys but it’s it could be possible they’re not there so cuz you know all the rumors and all the things being talked about but without further Ado let’s go ahead and really get into the nitty-gritty so the first player I would like to mention in tier one is montis buellis from G league night I know I just said that I don’t have any favorites but he is like one of my favorites he’s a guy that I don’t think gets the love he deserves um I I like a lot of the things he’s able to do my one gripe with him and we’ll talk about plenty of positives but my major major gripe with him outside a couple of small things which we’ll talk about is the fact that to me he doesn’t have that one skill I can sit there hone in on and be like okay if all those fails he can do this because he showed glimpses of a lot of different things and that’s why I like him and he showed that he’s passable in some areas I would like the three-point shot to get a little better especially considering his whole game is going to be predicated on if he’s a if he can shoot but for the way I think the Hornets will use him year one year two I think that will allow him to kind of come into his own develop a shot and then go on to be the player I believe he can be I think with the G league night you got Ron Holland there you got Tyler Smith there and just how the G League ignite was kind of ran really wasn’t any spacing allowed for too many o you know over um above the break threes and it just really wasn’t a flow of offense I think with the Charlotte Hornet he’s going to be able to spread his wings a little more but in a confined role instead of trying to just the G League Knight is mostly just you’re talented go do what you got to do but I think with the Charlotte Hornets he’s going to be able to sit I know it sounds crazy but sit in the corner and just eat there just the first you know year or two he doesn’t have to strictly become a three-point Corner shooter I like the way he’s able to dribble um you don’t have guys who are 610 that could put the ball on the floor the way he can he’s not going to be dis honest when it comes to ball handling at his size but at 610 I do like that he’s he feels comfortable enough putting the ball on the floor his his handles are a little loose but I think that’s something he can tighten up I think that something that will help him out um in the long run and I think that will end up helping out his mid-range game and because that’s the biggest part of his mid-range game to me is that he’s not really able to get into the mid-range and kind of operate there it’s more so if it’s there he can take it and I think he’s pretty efficient at it um but a lot of times he is kind of you know he doesn’t have the dribble moves to kind of create space but he’s able to shoot over people so I just want to see him take more advantage of that in the mid-range I mean he shot like 44% so that’s not bad at all um but you would like to see just kind of how he does it cuz he didn’t take that many I think he only took like 34 attempts so you would like to see him Opera in mid-range a little more he’s sneakily athletic I think a lot of people don’t give him credit for his athleticism um he’s a guy that plays very aggressive when he’s attacking the rim he’s a good cutter he knows when to cut he knows when to roll on screens and while you’re not really going to use him in a pick and roll as you’re bread and butter he can do it but I think you’re really going to look forward to the pick and pop which still I know I want to say I wanted him in the corner but lamelo ball him in the pick and pop Brandon Miller pick and pop even miles bridges in the pick and pop oh that’s one thing I would like to say real quick um all all these players are in the mind that Miles Bridges is coming back I I would say um I think my draft board may be a little different if we were to say miles Bridges is not coming back I’m just assuming he’s coming back I had to pick one or the other or else I could say you know but if this happens all day so I just decided to pick one just because it makes the process easier so just keep in mind that um with my is with Miles Bridges if you would like to see just some quick notes about you know if we didn’t have miles Bridges and what I would do then let me know and I’ll make that a quick video but this is with Miles Bridges you got miles Bridges you got Brandon Miller you got lamelo ball all these guys dominate the ball that’s what they do their best when they can and while they can all play off ball especially Brandon Miller especially i lamelo ball I know a lot of people you know when you say Lamela ball playing off ball they think you don’t want him to be the point guard that’s not what I’m saying I’m saying he’s a tremendous tremendous catch and shoot player I’ve said it plenty of times on his channel and I would like to see more of that cuz I think that helps him as well in the long run because we’re able to switch it up we have to allow him to do so much that’s where the injuries are going to come from that’s where it become predictable but if we can have him run around a little bit which he does and I and I not I feel like he enjoys doing or or you know puts effort towards doing it think we should utilize it cuz he’s good at it so but you have to have the skill around him to be able to do so I think another reason that he’s had to dominate the ball so much is because we really didn’t have the necessary players to kind of allow him to do other things so now that we’re slowly building that out I would like to see that but having montis he can be your fourth ball handler um and I would really like him in a starting unit because of the fact that you really just have him sit in the corner have him operate there um and I think they’ll help him out can give him a lot of open shots because you’re going to have miles Bridges at the top of the key Brandon Miller all these guys like to operate at the top of the key but you need somebody to hit the corner shots that’s where Matas comes in his size his I think he has an AB ility to shoot he’s shown that he can shoot in the past outside of G League KN so you want to see him carry that over and I think he can really do that and the big one big thing real quick I want to bring up is his also weak side defense he’s a really good shot blocker he really is able to pinpoint the ball without fouling I think jiren Jackson junior is a is a comp you think about it when it comes to that but J Jackson Jor fouls too much M Buel only fouls like three times a game maybe even I think it might be even less of that but with two blocks per game and his time with a G League of night so that just shows you how I think how good he is at you know like I said pinpointing the ball and getting the block and that allows a lot of Versatility for us on defense where sometimes you can run him at the five he does need to gain weight but you can run him at the five you can run him at the four maybe have Grant at the five but kind of you know rotate them in a way where you don’t really necessarily have Grant guard in the rim when people are cutting or driving and you can more so have you know them s switch out uh if you’re able to call it and see it fast enough so I think that’s going to be really beneficial for us not to mention I think he would play well next to Mark Williams or Nick Richard because of the fact that he is a threat that’s the one thing about montis I do obviously need him to show that he can shoot but he is a threat he I think he’s always going to be a threat in his career unless he ends up shooting like 29% I think he’s going to shoot better than what his numbers indicated at minimum I think his rookie year he’s going to shoot what 34 so if he shoots 34 that enough to keep honest and then I think that next year he’ll make that significant jump 38 closer to 40 up he’s just that I see it with his shot um laterally on defense I think he needs to be a little better though he does once again have the versatility to kind of guard these bigger Wings having having Brandon Miller having montis bzel kind of be like this makeshift you know wall when it comes to guarding bigger wings I think is going to be beneficial but if montis can gain that little weight I think he he gives us the help that we need when we’re guarding guys like um Giannis and guarding guys like uh I can’t think of talking about Marco Porter Jr I think he can really help out with those kind of guys cuz I see Brandon Miller more so guarding those wings uh Montes if he gains a little weight more so guarding the forwards and I think then we really just need to hand you know find a solution to guard those those guards which I think if miles brid is bought in can do so um but yeah that’s it for Mones buellis he’s one of my favorites as you could tell by in tier one my goal is to kind of spend five minutes on every tier not well every top prospect and it we’ll kind of go you know for tradeback guys do a certain amount of time and then for uh second rounders we’ll do a short amount of time but Mon’s got the most time it looks like but it’s okay for my second player I have to go Ron Holland Ron Holland was in my tier one when I did this video like a month or so ago um and the reason he’s still in there is just because he at one point he was seing as the most talented player in his draft class he’s a guy that can get down the floor quickly um I like his ability to drive though he does improve his ability to finish I think sometimes he does too much and I think Ron Holland to me out of anybody in this draft class at least at the top suffers the most from 19y old uh syndrome and I just like to call it that just because when you’re 19 years old you’re dist talented everybody’s telling you how talented you are you go to the G League at night um and you in a way in its own way dominate there you’re just going to do you’re going to take bad shots you’re going to do just dumb stuff you’re not going to make bad read because you’re going to try to do everything I’m not saying that that’s a defense for his some of the the film you’ll see but I am saying that I get it we’re you’re going to see every single year of a guy who just does a little too much and a lot of times it’s just because they’re young and they’re just the most talented person on their team that being said I think he just has the tremendous tools of being a guy that can really help us out and it also helps that he’s sandwiched between brain and Miller and lamelo ball I think that’s really really going to help out his game because they do a lot of things that he can’t so it’s going to let him kind of move along uh forward and continue to I think the good thing about Ron Holland is if he solidifies his game he needs to develop a shot as well but if he solidifies his game of what he does best right now which is attacking the basket and allow Brandon Miller and Lamela ball to operate at the perimeter I think that that tangum will work he just needs to shoot good enough he doesn’t need to shoot 40% from three he shoot 35 that’s the team average he shoots 35 but also you know improving on his ability to attack the rim and finish and continue to play defense cuz that’s something we’re about to uh transition to in a second I think he can be an excellent player in this league um I you need the ability to shoot you need to be a threat I think that’s the biggest thing in the NBA I think people are too focused on um what like how what your percentages are and you know breaking down like the zones you just have to be a threat you just have to be a threat you cannot allow teams to leave you open that’s the problem where you know you kind of see we just saw Jos giddy get traded yesterday that’s one of the biggest thing that hurt OKC Josh giddy’s actual three-point numbers aren’t terrible I mean they’re not great either but they’re not terrible he just wasn’t a threat at all when it came to those big moments if Ron Holland if his team wants to be a playoff team he if he’s that dominant when attacking the rim as I think he can be but then he’s a threat at the three-point line I think everything else will be handled of course the Hornets will need to get some more three-point Shooters because the biggest thing about our roster is we have too many guys that I’m not going to say we’re supposed to be Ron Hollands but they’re supposed to play the role I’m foreseeing for Ron Holland and they’re just not doing so Bryce mcgall Cody Martin a bunch of guys like that um and I think Ron Holland really is going to open up because he’s a better finisher than all those guys but also I do believe he has a in a shot he has a chance to develop a shot you see how comfortable he is when he pulls up you see how he is when he can stop on a dime and kind of pull up in the mid-range so he has the tools to do so it’s just he’s got to put it all together and I think being at G League unite sometimes that’s tough just once again it’s not to defend anything he’s done as far as on um as far as you know you look at some of his shots and some of the bad decision making but I think it’s all there defensively he does everything he he he’s a guy who’s going to play hard no defense he he’s not Stefan Castle when it comes to Def you know defense he’s not GNA Hound you like that but he’s looking to make a transition opportunity and nine times out of 10 he does and then once he’s moving he’s good like it’s hard to stop this guy he can you know get skinny and go between Defenders I really like just a lot of things about Ron Hall he’s able to do the chase down blocks um he really is able I think even sometimes G League Knight was using him as a weak side Defender as I mentioned weak should use Montes G League KN was using Ron Holland that they would have kind of have him guard guy in the corner then he would come down and contest the shot and he’s pretty good at it only specifically because he’s so athletic he’s one of the most athletic prospects if not the most athletic Prospect sometimes it’s tough for them to put it together sometimes it’s tough for them to develop a shot but when you look at his shot when you look at his confidence when he shoots you you can tell it’s going to be there he just has to put in the work which I’m pretty sure he will I think the biggest thing that hurt Ron Holland was the fact that he got hurt and he could have came back and he kind of chose not to because he knew where he was going to be I think now that it’s room that he’s sliding that that you know I think maybe he regrets that decision but nonetheless I think he’s going to be a fantastic player uh he’s a guy that like I said he can play the he can play the hard noos defense on the perimeter uh for the smaller guards have Brandon Miller guard the wings and I think that will be good for our defense I think it definitely will be good enough um and then you can look on offense and he can be a guy that we can rely on cutting we can rely on just moving without the ball and just really I think what’s going to be best is giving giving him the ball at times and allowing him to kick out to these guys allow him to kick out the miles allow him to kick out to Brand all him to kick out to lamelo and lamelo being able to do the same miles being able like is I think they’re all going to kind of work together in this rotating you know this rotating Gauntlet basically of guys who can penetrate who can kick and then who can shoot U Ron Holland has to hold his end up of shooting but I think you have four guys who can all put the ball on the floor who can all go to the rim in their own way they all do it in different ways but it also can hit the open shot when they’re when the driver creates a opportunity for him that’s going to be the biggest thing when it comes to him offensively but him being able to go to the rim I think that’s the that’s the skill you hang your hat on uh because he’s so effective at getting to the rim I do need him to finish a little better but all the talent is there it’s just it’s just tweaking it’s just tweaking he takes on contact very well I think he’s an excellent excellent player um you could hear me on the buzzbeat podcast actually kind of flip-flopping between him and montis as far as like who I really wanted cuz we were like oh we we let’s try to pick one and I picked him then um but I kind of slowly kind of G came back and went to montis uh just because of the fact that I do just like more of what montis is able to allow for the team versatility wise but skill-wise I do think Holland’s an excellent excellent player and I it’s a shame that you know he’s falling down a lot of people’s boards all right for my third player it’s not going to be who you expect however I I have to pick this guy I I think he’s too talented and he’s someone that I’ve I’ve said if given this caveat he would be the number one player in the draft and that’s Reed Shepard I I can’t deny the talent of Reed sheeper he does everything so well the only thing you’re missing from him is him ability to get to the rim um and he knows that so therefore he doesn’t really try to do anything extra but when it comes to defense when it comes to shooting when it comes to basketball IQ when it comes to making yourself available on offense to your Playmakers he does all of that and there’s nothing that you can really look at his game and say that’s a big flaw that’s that’s a big FL outside of his height but I told myself if that’s your only caveat and you love the skill set of the guy you have to you have to have him in tier one he he’s a guy if he’s he was 6’5 he’s the top player in his draft it’s his height that’s the only thing that’s holding him back yes I will say there’s another you know there’s a few other things that you would like to see from him as far as he doesn’t really create uh for himself as far as he doesn’t have any dribble moves to really create space between him and the defender that’s fine I see him more of a off ball player anyway I think he will Thrive off ball look at some of the off ball things he was doing at ucky um he’s a good Defender when when we guard no smaller guards let’s not forget like there’s are still smaller guards in NBA not everybody’s Lamela ballside so he can guard those guys and I think he’ll be just fine at it he’s not going to be some lockup Defender he’s not going to be what Alec Caruso is he’s not going to be what Drew holiday is he’s not going to be those guys because of his height but he’s going to be a guy that’s TJ McConnell he’s going to be a guy that’s similar to those type of guys that can really really Play Def like we see Jamal shed um or Sheed however you pronounced his last name from Houston he’s smaller and I think that’s what’s holding him back from being a higher draft pick but he he was guarding everybody and he was an excellent excellent point of attack Defender is justess he smaller so Reed Shepard doesn’t play defense like that he’s not a Stefan castle where he’s just going to H the guy um but I think he plays really solid defense and I think that’s good enough for this league especially considering we do have I think a big thing that we struggled with was guarding those smaller guys cuz we were putting Brandon Miller on them I think having someone that can do you know what we are hoping re sheeper could do would be beneficial for the team because it allows Brandon Miller to focus on the wings and then when miles bridges on ball defense as your tertiary Defender I think I think you’re pretty good because I really like his on ball defense I really just need him to be more locked in defensively off Ball but that’s something where I think money I think a good team can help um it sucks that you know you don’t want to say oh well I hope those two things will kind of get him sparked up to play off ball defense but I I do think it will it’s unfortunate that’s the case you should you should not have to like really count on those two things but I think that that will help him and that will help us in the wrong run but defensively I’m not too concerned about Reed sheper if the matchups are right that that’s just really kind of my biggest thing about that and then we move on to his offense his offensive game like I said he moves very well without the ball he’s a very smart he’s a very smart player he knows how to use the pick and roll he knows how to dump to the open person he’s always kind of scanning the field um I think one thing he does Miss kind of the paint a little bit when he’s looking when he’s um trying to see maybe that could be cuz he’s small but some I see in on film you can see him look but he just maybe doesn’t maybe he doesn’t believe in his passing I don’t know but there sometimes he just kind of overlooks the paint a little bit uh but I would I wouldn’t say it’s maybe you know maybe there’s a point because of the fact that it’s not like Kentucky had this guy you know had the type of centers that can work down low we don’t even have the type of centers that work down low we have more so Rim Runners dunker spots and then with when when it comes to those type of players he’s really effective of getting in the ball no matter who’s in the paint so it’s just kind of you got to understand maybe the offense a little bit but him slotted between Lamela ball Brandon Miller I think is exceptional I think that that it that’s the type of you know those are the two guys you would want someone like Reed Shepard and even Ron Holland in between as far as on the floor because he can set them up they can set him up um they can make up for his height I know we give you know l SLA for defense but it’s not like he’s a terrible terrible Defender so you have those two guys kind of surrounding you you have a guy who you know is going to play Bas he’s he’s going to play defense like it’s not a question of oh he’s too small so he just kind of no he plays defense he reminds me a lot of like a George Hill foran Lille those guys were smaller but they play defense so depending on how you feel about those guys yes I know uh more I would say more so George Hill not necessarily talent-wise but I think impact wise and George Hill was a really good point guard for the Indiana Pac teams they just ran into LeBron but for what George Hill did he kind of was okay I’m I’m a staple in the offense as far as just kind of setting everything up we don’t necessarily need that because we have lamelo but George Hill did a lot of other things because while he was the lead guard he also you know played off ball a lot because they had the Danny Grangers they had the um Lance Stevenson they had the Paul georgees of course so he was the lead guard but he didn’t play lead guard duties but he was able to bring up the the ball up the floor he was able to kind of play off those guys and let them eat and then him and then he take advantage of what was left over that’s where I see Reed Sheard doing I know basketball has changed and I know that’s what been like 10 years no basketball has changed since then but the Celtics have shown that if you can get some Shooters I think you’re kind of okay with the defense cuz it’s not like Sam Hower play defense it’s not like you know those type of guys uh pton Pritchard who I think is an you know okay Defender it’s not like he’s just this defensive stopper though so if you have enough shooting and have a mixture of those guys who could play defense cuz they did have the Dereck whes they did have the Drew holidays um we have to get our Derek whes on Drew holidays and it doesn’t have to be they don’t even have to be that good as far as those two guys they just have to be competent on defense I think Cody Martin would be fine at it if he was just if we got that Cody Martin the season before he got paid if we had two of those hey Reed Shepard even makes more sense so that’s the one caveat I will say for Reed Shepard you’re just concerned about the defense I don’t think you’re concerned about the offense at all because he he finds a way to get open um and he’s a smart smart guy like he’s he’s not going to do anything crazy he’s going to do what he what the defense gives him he’s not going to try to create too much so maybe that maybe look at that and say I don’t know but for what we need him for like I said it’s if the height is the biggest thing considering we have two giants um as far as when it comes to those positions I think I’m okay with it the only issue I will say is that we have mijes we have Trey Manon something has to be done there but I think you got a guaranteed guy that can shoot I think you had take that I I think you have to take it if people want to say something about his height and say they don’t they don’t feel comfortable with it I 1 million per understand but like I said if this guy was 65 he would be the best player in the draft that’s the case you know what I mean if he’s available at six I got to take him now trade up that’s where it gets iffy um which is why you know that’s what that’s why tier 2 exists um but I think he’s a really really good player and I really like what he does and I think he can be very beneficial for this team all right now we move into tier two once again tier two are guys I like just not as much as guys in tier one um I will say that I’m very comfortable with uh you know depending on how the jaft war goes moving guys in tier 2 to tier one that’s why tier 2 exists um so let’s without further Ado let’s go ahead and get into it the first person in tier two I would like to mention is Stefan Castle I know I’ve talked about him already so I’m not going to go too in depth but for Stefan Castle I think we know what he brings the thing is you want to see he putting a shot together he’s a guy where if he can develop a shot he becomes one of the better players if not the best player in this draft um I still probably would take a 65 re sheer over him but overall I think he becomes um the best player in this draft if he’s able to develop a shot that’s a big if it’s it’s easy to say you know to hinder to to Har harp on the shot and wonder you know is he ever going to put it together is he ever going to put it together it just sucks that for the Hornets we’re in a situation where this draft for every two things a guy does well he does eight other things you know not so well and it just leaves you trying to scramble and figure it out it’s just unfortunate that the Charlotte Hornets particularly suck at two things are that essentially make basketball and it’s defense and three-point shooting so you’re forced to miss out a guy who I think has Elite level type of Defense he as I mentioned earlier with montis he doesn’t I feel like he doesn’t have that one skill he can sit there and hone in on uh if you know if he doesn’t really develop as much as you would think he would seon Castle has that and that’s his defense that his defense effort that’s all there the issue is like I said with the Celtics yes they do have the Drew holidays yes they do have the Derek Wyatt but Derrick Wyatt has always been able to shoot he started off rough in his time in San Antonio but there was times he showed he could shoot Drew holiday has gotten better um but it’s not like he was this bad of a shooter um so Stefan Castle it’s just like you got to find his shot I’ve tried to find all the information I can and it’s just never been seem like he’s ever been able to shoot that leaves him more Marcus Smart which Marcus Smart you saw those Celtic teams were still good Marcus Smart those Celtics that one Celtics team still made the uh NBA Finals they were just going against the Golden State Warriors so you could maybe make an argument that they could have won a championship then um but as you saw they got rid of Marcus Smart and they got a Drew holiday they got Derek white so those are things you got to kind of think about and that’s and that’s exactly why I’m thinking about it and I I see it I see the talent there I see see the defense there for me I just cannot wholly put him over some other guys when his shot is that way now you can say Well Ron Holland can’t shoot Mones buellis can’t shoot um I think monz Bell I believe in a shot so despite what the percentages say I believe in a shot uh Ron Holland I will say that they’re he you know Ron Holland and saan Castle they’re a little closer as far as their shot and their three point percentages but I will say Ron Holland shows to me that he has the potential of shooting and he does these other things extremely well um and still providing the defense his offensive game is much more I wouldn’t say refined but it’s much more explosive it’s much more impactful than Stefan castles um and he has you know above average defense as opposed to Stan Castle I think his offense is a little you know poor but his defense is almost Elite levels when it comes to you know comparing to other players in this draft so it’s it’s kind of the Teeter Totter which is why Stefan Castle is mi2 and not like someone that’s just off my board completely if Montes buellis is off the board and Reed sheard’s off the board which is very very likely you know very possible for the six pick I wouldn’t be mad at Stefan Castle I just need more shooting if you were to tell and I can say this about re Sher as well if you were to tell me for re jefford if you were to tell me hey the Charlotte horns are going to get proven Wing Defenders the guys who are you know been in the league who are proving they can you know defend at a high level at the NBA level um and then we’re draft and re I really wouldn’t have a problem with it that is where I do have a problem CU we don’t have any Elite Wing Defenders same with Stefan castle if you were to tell me hey we’re going to get some knock down three-point Shooters we just really need someone to kind of be an anchor of our perimeter point of attack defense so we’re going to get Rod Holland but we have Naj Marshall we have these other guys who are in free agency if they pick up Patrick Williams um his three-o percentages are are really good I’m hey I’m okay with it but it it it’s hard I have to make a face value for what we have right now I’m not going to sit here and assume I can sit here and say okay if you draft re Shepard this is the right thing to do if you draft stapon Castle this is the right thing to do but I can only take it for what we have on the roster right now this second which is why I put Stefan castle in the second tier I think he’s going to be an incredible player um I think he’s going to be very impactful for a team that doesn’t need shooting but we just need shooting we really really need shooting and as much as we also need defense it It’s just tough it’s tough for me to really decide so the next player in tier 2 I would have is Cody Williams Cody Williams is a guy from Colorado he’s Jaylen Williams brother I really like his game uh my biggest thing is he needs to gain weight and and at some sometimes on film he just kind of disappeared now he had Tristan Silva on his team he had KJ Simpson two dominant um college basketball players I think they’re both really good um as far as you know it depending on what you’re looking for especially Tristan Silva so I get at times where he kind of faded away but he played his role very well his role was I’m going to sit here I’m going to defend you know because of his weight I think that’s why he was kind of put on smaller guards but he’s I’m gonna defend these guys uh but KJ Simpson doesn’t need to worry about defending and I’m going to you know create transition offense I’m going to you know make myself available at the three-point line uh if I do have the ball playing this point forward es rooll um I will be able to make the most of it due to my you know incredible Wings span length um and then also just my strides he has like very significant strides where he’s able to get through you know tight spaces and kind of still go up for the rim go up to rim with his wingspan allows him to finish over a lot of people so you add a little bit of vertical to that plus his wingspan he’s able to finish over the bigger defenders in the league I me I and I think that’s really good he looked he looked like a really solid finisher it’s just like I said with him nothing stuck out as far as when you look at him on film and you say okay well this is what am I looking for what am I looking to gain from this nothing really stuck out to me like I said he he plays like this point forward esque role um but like I said he makes his a his himself available for for the ball handler where I think he is pretty good at hitting open threes there was a lot of time he just was reluctant so uh they would come Defender would come up and try to contest a shot and he instead of kind of just putting it up which the next person I I’m about to talk about definitely would put it up instead of putting it up he kind of would just then put the ball on the floor and try to finish that way and most time he did it’s just I would like to see him you know shoot a little more at full potential he gained some weight cuz he’s like 170 180 and he could be sick or something I don’t know cuz dve combine is really hard because all your kind of draft sty is based on that one moment you know when you’re you know and we know body especially kids like that your body fluctuates every day so the fact that you know you’re caught at maybe your most vulnerable moment is tough but him and Brandon Miller if he gains weight him and Brandon Miller could be a tandem at the wing they really could because they kind of do similar the same things though you know they may be better you know excel at more things than the other and I think that’s just going to be really beneficial for us having two guys that can run around the floor with long arms and um defend contest the way they do CU I think Brandon Miller is a really good shot contest there I think that’s going to be huge for so I I really like Cody Williams and he’s someone where if I didn’t have you know he’s the other person where if montis and Reed sheeper are going by six which once again highly likely he moves up to tier one I I really like his game um and I just I want to see more of it that’s really all it is as much as I thoroughly enjoy his game I just wanted to see more of it um and it on film he just doesn’t really pop out but when you analyze his game and look at what he does well you’re I think you’re really happy with what you seen all right next we have Dalton connect dton connect is a Hooper Dalton connect is a true three-level scorer um I don’t think his defense is as bad as people say it is his uses was through the roof it was like 32% usage rate um and they won games Tennessee made it very far didn’t they make it to Elite eight or something like that Tennessee was a really good team and D connect was a big reason for that um I really like I said I really like his game offensively I don’t think his defense is as bad for what it’s worth his combine measurements were very similar to Klay Thompson’s if not identical to Klay Thompson’s when it came time for the draft combine uh so it is not like he had he’s physically unable to play defense there there’s been proof that someone with his almost exact measurements has been a pretty good defender in NBA so he can do it I’m not saying he’s going to be Klay Thompson levels but it shows that he can play defense um unless there’s some medical reason that I don’t know about but as far as everything we know he should be able to play defense um really the biggest thing with him is that you’re not going to have uh maybe some of the rim pressure that you would look for that we feel like we need um and I know I could say that the same thing about Reed Sheard but for Reed Cher I felt as though he plays extremely extremely well off ball that’s my one thing with dton connect is at Tennessee yes he was forced to have the ball so much um but will he be able to transition to the NBA where not you know you’re the fourth option you know what I mean will he be able to do that and I think anybody’s able to do it but what are you best at if your skill if your best skill set is having the ball you have four guy or three guys who are going to dominate the ball you’re not really going to get your opportunity you’re not really going to be at your fullest potential now we’ve seen players come into the league one way leave another another way or play another way you know what I mean and it works out for them you know they kind of pick up this uh new skill or or they they they get in this role and embrace it I feel like he could be that uh based on everything I heard about him about going to I forgot what school he went to before was like Northern Colorado or something and then transferring to Tennessee he picked up a new role being the guy that he is and he excelled at it can he do it again I think so however I like what he does he’s such a such a a good score and I don’t want to take that away from him so if you’re thinking maybe oh we just going to go all out offense maybe that works you know young team I think that that’s always a way to start it’s just you know getting the offense out there running and then maybe the defense will come along with it later but I don’t think that’s the direction Charlie Hornet should go that’s kind of my biggest thing that there’s a shot he there’s not a shot he doesn’t like which is good and bad as I mentioned earlier with Cody Williams there was times that he I felt as though he was open even though there was a close out coming and he just kind of put the ball on the floor and went into traffic and while he made the shot often it’s like I rather take the shot don’t can’s going to take the shot and more times than not he’s going to make it it’s just as much as I praise for him offensively you do want to see more on the defensive end even though I don’t think his defense like I said is as bad as everybody says it is but you do want to see more on the defensive end he gets lost he gets attacked he gets hunted so it though those are you know you look at it and be like oh well you know is it is it a lucal situation in Dallas as far as you know at a college level one thing I will say though is when you’re carrying offense the way you have to if you’re LC or if you’re D connect it’s hard it’s hard to turn around and play defense only the elites of the elites Do It um and then also with Luca being so Elite on offense it’s hard you know think he can kind of do something even close on defense after doing that on offense seven games so D connect I really like it I really like his I really like to fit with the team that’s why he’s in this tier two he’s not someone where he would still remain in tier 2 I believe but it I I really wouldn’t feel you know any different about him and Cody Williams and Stefan castle if we were to draft any of those guys I would feel the exact same because I do feel like he’s extremely talented i’ more so struggle with the fit with the team his his fit as a player think can be good in the right place fit with the team with my assumption of work keeping miles Bridges I don’t really see it if you want to say he’s going to be our six man Off the Bench and then kind of light it up from there that that I will say that changes my perspective a little bit as of right now trying to think I don’t really even see he’ll get that because I think at some point you can’t have Trey man run in two forever especially considering how he plays I think you need someone that’s more more fitting I would if that’s the case I would like to see you know Stefan Castle Cody Williams Ron Holland in that role or or you know bring up montis and then you know move shift people back and then have Trey man operate as I’m saying connect should operate and with six man lighting it up so that’s kind of just where I’m at with that but it’s no slight to D connect there’s some things I want to see from him as I’m looking at my notes there’s definitely some things I want to see from him but he’s an extra extra talented player uh it’s just he doesn’t really create separation for himself as good as a score he is um and then he just really to me like I said struggles on defense though he’s not horrible it’s just not good enough to make me be like okay I’m willing to take all this offense when we have such a strg on defense the last player I have in tier two and the reason he’s in tier two and not tier three is tier three are players who I acknowledge are good who I acknowledge could be available at six but I’m just kind of like I stay away from uh so he he he he’s better than that to me it’s just more so I’m not in love with everything he does and that’s de Carter at one point in the midsection which I didn’t record no video for it cuz like I said I just didn’t feel like it uh Devin Carter was in my tier one from Providence I thought he was a he I thought he was what we would hope Reed Shepard would be um but with a little more cuz he plays a lot bigger than what he is he’s 62 6’3 but he averages eight rebounds a game gets one steel one block like he’s he’s that kind of player and he’s excellent at it he he thrives at it um he’s a ball Hawk on defense he’s always going to find his way around the ball when it comes to his defensive game has a 68 Wings span I believe for to be a 62 six uh three guard so at times you can look and say oh he’s better than uh Reed Cher but but my thing with him is there was just times where uh his jump shots a little slow his handles are a little loose um not to mention he is shorter so there’s are things where I really just need a little more from him as a guard If he if your your handles can’t be loose when you kind of he doesn’t dominate The Ball but he he does probably prefer the ball and his say he’s not as smooth of a off ball score off ball impact as Reed Shepard is and a reason I’m comparing to Reed sheeper because these guys are like the same height though Devon Carter I think has you know like I said way better wingspan but overall I just that’s kind of really where it is for me he’s more of a point guard and I don’t really want a point guard we don’t really need a point guard we have Mees we have Trey man I think re Shepard serves more of a shooting guard though despite his height he’s not skill-wise he’s a shooting guard I get that physicality wise he may not be but skill wise he is a shooting guard to me um and that’s kind of why I have him over to dein Carter another thing about Deon Carter is he you know he really broke out onto the scene last year and I think he still has ways to develop so I there I just wouldn’t be surprised if you see him kind of develop into an even better player where he is able to you know play more off ball his jump shot with NBA help is a little quicker his handles get a little tighter and he’s able to kind of get around players a little easier when attacking the rim all these things I think he’s an incredible credible player that’s why he’s in tier two I’m just not in love with him as much as I was uh but best case there he’s a Dereck white he he he is the definition of possibly being a Derek white Jaylen Suggs type player um I feel like I’m slowly talking myself more into him uh and maybe possibly moving him up but for we’re at the you know we’re already recording a video we’re live uh but he’s excellent player excellent excellent player but like I said I I really see him more of a lead guard and right now I don’t feel like we need that it’s unfortunate because I feel like we’re going to miss out on a good player but overall lead lead guard esque and I think I just need to see a little more from him as far as you know is this consistent because he has slowly been getting better but he wasn’t always able to shoot like this he just just now started shooting like this so it’s just certain things about his game where it’s like okay all of a sudden you make the jump not to say that it’s not you know you’re not good people can make jumps and be you know that’s how they are forever but it’s just something that you got to evaluate and I just don’t think he has the overall feel for the game the way I believe someone like Reed shepper does okay so now we move on to tier three tier three as I mentioned earlier are guys who I I understand are good some of them I have above players you know in my overall big board than guys I have picking for us and I know I picked a lot of players for us but you know some of my tier was kind of predicated on if they’ll be available um M Bell farts suround being available I saw reports that the horns were willing to trade up possibly for cing you or Reed Shepard though I feel as though it may be for re Shepard um so it’s just you know I felt more comfortable putting those guys up there these are guys who I think will be available honestly I think all three will be available I just don’t I don’t see it I don’t see it for us and the first one in that tier is Rob Dillingham from Kentucky uh Reed Shepard’s teammate the reason I would have Reed sheer over Rob Dillingham is I think Rob Dillingham is electric he’s he’s an electric electric player does not work for us we had a guy like that well we have we have two guys like well we had a guy like that and we have a guy like that so one guy I like to mention is Le mon Malik Monk Is re I mean is Donald is Rob Dillingham that they’re very very similar um Rob Dillingham is an athletic quick microwave score um he can score from anywhere on the floor I really like I really really thoroughly enjoy his game the thing is him being so short he’s not the defender I would see Reed sheer being though on off I this is the thing Rob Dillingham I don’t think you’re drafting him for the defense you’re not drafting and say I hope he becomes a decent Defender I hope he becomes a average Defender I don’t think that’s why you’re getting him you get Robb Dillingham because you understand what you have around you and he can put up the ball that that is exactly what you’re driving for if you’re driving for anything else that’s your fault as a team as a franchise he’s extremely extremely talented I think he’s one of the better players in the draft him falling has to only be because of his height because offensively he’s one of the most gifted players in his class is just his defense is is lackluster now his defense is I think to me he’s very an active Defender you know I like to use that word for guys who try on defense who try to make plays they just throw themselves out of the play which Rob Dillingham does a lot um or they’re just kind of doing too much and it just when you do too much you’re not doing enough you’re when you do too yeah when you do too much you’re not really doing anything he’s he kind of falls into that category uh he’s erratic offensively and defensively so at times you’re just not going to know what he’s going to do but like I said you’re getting him for the offense and he’s a tremendous tremendous offensive player um I I do I can this is where having the Trey man having the meic it’s it’s it’s really like I don’t really see the point as electric as he is offensively we kind of have guys like that I keep going back to Reed sheeper because I understand me having him so high may turn a lot of heads or be like oh well why you know he’s small too I think Reed Shepard just better fits what we’re doing because he he can play more so in the in the offense of the team uh he can allow the game come to him he doesn’t he doesn’t necessarily need the ball and to dominate though I think Rob dillam is an excellent off ball mover it’s more so he has to put up the shots if he’s not putting up the shots then what is he doing he’s he’s slowly developed the playmaking a little bit throughout his season at Kentucky overall some of the passes a little wacky and it’s just not you know there granted none of these players are even Don conect as probably like the oldest player in the draft none of these players are you know complete players um they still have time to grow they still have time to learn it’s more so Reed sheeper for me is more a little more NBA ready specifically going to a team like us that’s that’s an unfortunate part of it and that’s the reality of it as good as I think lamelo ball as good as I think Brandon biller is and as good as I think Miles Bridges is it hasn’t worked for a reason you know we really haven’t reached the next height for a reason so a lot of that you could say 50% I believe maybe even 60% is on the franchise 40% though is on the players we’ve had the players quit we’ve had these players not show up in Big Moment we’ve had players not available all these things kind of predicate into why I feel like the Hornets have not been good the last few years or they had that one good season and kind of been all over the place since then um I think Reed sheeper for me is just a better fit into all of that because he’s not he doesn’t need anything special around him I think the only thing is we probably do need to add some better Defenders we needed that anyway U if we were going to be a competent team so that’s why I feel like getting repper is a better building brought for the future because all you need now is Defenders you don’t even need excellent excellent three-point Shooters once you have re trer melow ball Brandon Miller add a couple guys that can maybe hit like 36 37% hey you’re good um so maybe 35% you can get away with as a team um so yeah that that’s kind of where I sit on that excellent excellent player really can see him with the Spurs because they have like the fundamental makeup they have um Kelvin Johnson they have wimy of course they have uh Devon Vel they have Jeremy Shan so they have the the pieces around him that let Dy Dillingham Thrive um and I think that’s why I think the Hornets have the pieces of around to make shepher thriving even Devon Carter and and I say that cuz they’re all the shorter players next we got Donovan kingan so Donovan kingan I actually really like his game and to me he’s two maybe overall I really really enjoy his game this is the caveat though for me I think next year’s Center class is much much better next year’s big forward Center whatever you want to say class is much better and I don’t think he would rate highly with those guys you have like three guys there who are centers who can stretch the full a little better than he can uh though I really like his game in this particular clut because he takes up so much of the paint offensively and defensively cuz he’s a massive human being at 72 260 when you look at Mark Williams he’s 72 or 71 240 something like that so don Clingan huge huge H human being very strong he’s not I think at times we see Mark Williams play a little soft Nick Richard play a little soft Donovan Clingan he’s not an aggressor like Jaylen Duren but he’s guy that you know he’s going to Dish punishment as far as physically and he he he’s willing to you know deal with the punches for lack of a better word on defense as well um he he’s going to contest every shot that he can sometimes I think he rotates over and kind of leaves his guy open but he I’ve never at least film I watch he didn’t really struggle kind of getting back because he has such a long Wing spin he can kind of you know play Both Sides he can kind of you know turn his body a little bit over to contest the shot but if they dish it over he has the you know quickness and I think the hips to kind of move to the guy that’s in the dunker spot or the guy he left open or that may be Rec coming in for a cut so I really really enjoy on cing his game the issue is he’s just not too different from Mark Williams yes I do believe that he does some things better than Mark Williams but it’s unfortunate because this one of those situation where we don’t really know what we got in Mark Williams yet I’m not ready to give up on him especially considering we have such bigger needs if centering was the only position that we really needed and maybe I would flirt with this idea a little more but it’s not we there’s a lot of other things we need and um I’d rather get those than get donov C but I think he’s going to be an excellent excellent player at worst he’s a Jared Allen which Jared Allen has shown that he can get you you know he can help your team and anchor your team to to a certain point but I I do feel like even the Cleveland Cavaliers are like ah maybe we should move on from this guy because he does cap your ceiling um so without him being able to shoot that’s that’s the problem I think I bet he’s like a he’s like a Rudy Gober in space eating cuz Rudy Gober eats up a lot of space but they’re saying he can shoot so if he can even pop from the mid I think that will really really open up his game and open up the game for the team as well next in this tier is Nicole topic from uh KK Mega basket he’s a Serbian point guard I think he’s really good I think he’s one of the better players in his class if healthy and that that’s honestly the reason he’s down here I can’t deal with another injured point guard the the whole reason I think people were picking him for us I even I didn’t like the idea but I understood the idea is that he’s a guy that can if lamelo if this injury thing is with lamelo we have a guy who yes he needs to develop a shot but he’s he’s excellent at getting to the ram he’s excellent at reading the defense he’s excellent at moving um moving in in Fast Break he’s just an excellent player overall his defense lacks a little bit the effort comes and goes but he’s an excellent player overall as far as creating the offense being a floor General being that guy he moves well without the ball considering he’s the lead guard in most cases is is just the injury that’s the only reason he’s down there his three-point shooting I think I would like to see that get a little better but he’s shown signs that he can shoot it’s just the latest stats U from what I saw he just was only shooting like 26% but there’s times where he shot 34 35 um but I I will admit I struggle not reading International stats but knowing what happened when they had the dates but I don’t know like this before this after probably a little more research I actually want to get into I actually really want to get into Euro basket this year so maybe I’ll be better at that next year for international prospects um but yeah he he’s an excellent exent player he’s a goodlooking shot able to get down the floor quickly on fast breaks he’s able to pass people open you know that’s a big thing for me if you’re going to be a lead guard if you’re going to be a playmaker can you pass people open and I think he does a really good job of that putting the ball exactly where they’re cutting to um I think that’s huge um he can split Defenders with ease uh when he’s attacking the rim he doesn’t necessarily struggle when he’s kind of they’re trying to close an in on he has a way to kind of get through the defender and still finish at The Rim he finishes at The Rim very well his layup package is not crazy but it’s not like because Ron holl has a crazy finishing package but he’s not the best finisher he doesn’t topic doesn’t have a crazy finishing package but he’s an exceptional f um um he’s an exceptional finisher in my opinion like I said the shot consistency the defensive effort consistency he has the bill to do it he’s like 67 he would be great he would be great for us um is the injury that that’s the only reason he’s down here and I’m being completely honest that’s why I have him down here but overall as a player as a prospect excellent excellent player all right so now we moving on to the not availables and these are guys who are just are not going to be available um and that’s Alexander SAR and Zachary is uh for Alexander SAR 71 he plays like jiren Jackson Jr a little bit you can see a little Evan Moy in his game he handles the ball like a wing so maybe I’ll will lean towards EV Mo uh do I have anybody rent down because I try not to compare because they they just be I don’t have anybody rent down but yeah he maybe leans a little more Evan Moy because he can’t handle the ball uh his shooting is just not as good as some people say it is he he’s confident in taking it but he doesn’t make him um and then his defense I think is really good because he’s able to you know jump up he’s athletic he’s he’s to me he’s going to be more of a slasher that can maybe pop out every now and then um but he’s he’s really going to thrive at slashing whether that’s you know from the dunker spot from the from the corner he’s he’s just a really good slasher and he can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim as well uh you really just want that shot to kind of develop you want his passing to develop because he he’s he can read the floor I think he tries to make the right pass to is just not always the most beautiful pass so he struggles with that a little bit but I I I see why people have him as a top prospect he he would probably he he would flirt around with one for me um because I think he’s a good shot blocker good on ball Defender he’s he really makes your defense versatile um and then able to bring his slashing ability his finishing ability I think that that it all works out you would a guy that can defend like this I don’t think you necessarily need him to be this Elite shooter or Elite scorer especially cu you know kind of the role you’ll have him play in the position you’ll have him play in uh you don’t necessarily need that and it also depends on your team as as we mentioned with the charlot horen I’m not as high on Stefan Castle as some people but that a lot of that has to do with the team I don’t think our team is ready for that do I like his fit on a team of course I think he’s an exceptional player both SAR and Castle it’s just where we are right now it’s one of those things it’s just where we are there if there you were telling me a couple things we’re guaranteed to be different then maybe my tears would be different but as right now it’s just tough um and I will say for his size he doesn’t have any post moves and he doesn’t really need it cuz he just kind of towers over people but you would like to see him develop a little something just because at the NBA level you have guys who you know um I think a good someone that can manand to post that way and have like even even a little bit of post moves I think it really helps them out a lot in this league as I mentioned Zachary Reet is next this guy I’m not actually really high on I think he’s incredible credible three-point shooter he has what it takes to be a three and D Wing it’s just just I don’t think he’s all that to me I mean that’s really it I think he’s going to be an incred I think at this is the thing I think at his worst in his best is really close and and I think that’s more of a compliment because I I think his floor is just a three-point shooter guy that you know can defend and that’s it he he could be your fourth starter fifth starter on a good team um I think that’s kind of his minimum I don’t think I don’t think he gets any worse than that unless he can’t deal with the NBA um and I don’t think he gets much better than that either um but at best if he does put it all together which is possible I’m I root for all rookies I I’m huge on you know rookie development or Player Development in general um I bet he could be a you know third best player on your team as being a guy that could put the ball on the floor um that can play make he he does these things in spurts he does these things okay it’s just not like oh that was so good it’s just like okay he’s a he’s a just incredibly incredibly solid basketball player now that’s how I feel about him but watch him go to the Spurs and be amazing cuz they they do that with they get incredible BB they get incredibly solid basketball players that make them great that that’s just what they do um and that’s and that’s why I wouldn’t be surprised but he has all the tools I don’t think there’s any if though if he was at six you might have to consider taking him because he’s he’s he’s that he’s that solid where what you see is what you get and he might get better but I don’t think he gets any worse that’s the thing he shot incredibly from three and I and I what I do like about it is that he had spurt in the season he was shooting horrible he was terrible and everybody was like oh well see the shot’s not real and he turned around and and then he’s torching people again so it that’s what I I do really like that about his season where that he showed that he can go through a slump but just hop right back out of it and not only did he hop out of he was going crazy shooting like 40% or something like that again as before he was shooting like 50 at some point so credible credible player um I think he’s just extremely extremely solid that’s it but I don’t what the where everybody’s like picking one or two I don’t see it that as far as potentially upside but I do understand it as in this draft who do we need right now like on the Hawks you might to really consider it if you’re really trying to um develop a team and put that team together and help you know those current players try Trey young um Deonte Murray uh AA and kongu if you’re trying to maximize what you have right now he might be the pick because he’s very very solid he I don’t think he’s going to steer you wrong so now we are in the trade pack category guys who actually like their game um but if I think if that if those are the people the Hornets want to get then they probably should trade back um I I like every guy in here it’s just I don’t see them at six now I now I will admit I see them all over the place I see them as late as 22 is and then as early as 10 so early as 8 so it it’s it’s a m POS of players but I I definitely just want to give these guys love because I do like their game it’s just at six it’s a little high from my for my blood but the first person we have is Tan Salon Salon I saw it on a basketball Without Borders video that’s how they pronounced it now that I me now that I think about it he didn’t look too happy maybe that’s just how his personality but he didn’t look too happy maybe they pronounce his name wrong but 69ine forward I think he’s a he’s an aggressive aggressive guy he plays defensive aggressively he plays offense aggressively he’s attacking the rim um he’s just a bully ball type player um he he does need to develop a shot his shot came along this year but is like do you wonder can he really shoot um his passing is a little erratic you don’t it’s not as good as you want it to be I think he looks to pass it’s just it’s just not there so he needs to refine that a little bit but overall physical physical driver like I said needs to work on the shot just a slasher through and through like if you thinking of NBA slasher like in 2K8 2K9 uh the game you’re going that that’s kind of what you get where you can’t really do anything else but he’s he can play defense and he has a high motor as well so really really like his game it just needs to be refined he’s a kid he’s like 181 19 so but 69 that size um that natural physical ability I think he can put it together with the right team we could possibly be the right team our Co staff is built for Player Development I believe so he he really could be the guy next we have jacobe Walter from Baylor I really like his game as well he was someone that I had really really high on my board at the beginning of the season um I really like his ability he thr like 30 like twice in the first like 10 games or something like that it was crazy he’s he’s an incredible player um he he can create for himself I I like his defense he’s a hype guy he’s GNA get his teammates involved he’s a guy that he just he loves basketball you could tell he leaves it all out on the floor he can shoot a little bit I think I needed to see him shoot a little more the the thing is with him is that you watch his film and then you realize this guy as talented as he is he may not look as talented because of the kind of situation he was in he was in a team with I wouldn’t say Championship aspirations but they they expected to be good they expected to be great even but he was a fresh and so you’re asking a freshman to do a lot of that it can make it tough U but I I’ve seen freshman do it you know what I mean so it’s one of those things where I completely get the circumstances and how they could be rough on him but overall I I believe that um I’ve seen freshman kind of you know rise to the occasion it’s not that he didn’t rise to the Cajun but he did struggle a little bit um but he’s not he’s not a fundamental type guy but he’s all he’s a taller Rob Dillingham Rob Dillingham I think doesn’t have any not necessarily the fundamentals but he’s just an El score I think Jobe Walter kind of fits that a little bit he’s just not as efficient and I think that is because he’s I think a little further behind Rob Dillingham when it comes to fundamentals U but he’s a smooth guy got to get his handles together I really like jacobe Walter next we have Jaylen Tyson from California he’s just a Hooper that’s kind of the best way I could put it he he does a little bit of everything he plays defense he attacks the rim he can shoot he’s just a Hooper I really like his game he uses his size advantage against because he’s like six seven he uses his size advantage against younger or smaller guards cuz he’s more of a guard um he’s just an exceptional player from California I really really like his game he’s versatile on on defense I think that that would be good for us as well if that’s the guy once again that’s someone they should trade back for but I think he’s an incredibly talented player and I think he should be hire on more boards so from Dayton we have my next player and that is donon Holmes donon Holmes I might have above everybody here maybe n cuz I I think I got somebody underneath that might be a little better I don’t know I I really like Don Holmes last year Duron Holmes he plays this more of like a like a pseudo big like he’s he’s more of like a forward to me more of a power forward that he can play center he can play small ball five um he’s developed his three-point shot it it came it came a long way so that’s something you got to like Okay can even really shoot but I I believe he can he can pick a pop he can get to the rim um he he’s an excellent shot blocker he plays defense pretty well I believe he leaves his match up a little bit too much to get a block as well um and a lot of bigs do that actually but either way I think he’s really good uh he’s able to do five he’s able to do five out and without it being really of a disadvantage either way so whether that’s you know him guarding the five out or him being you know playing in the five out he really can do anything with a guard with a good guard he can pick a pop he can cut he can pick and roll he does just a lot of things very well um really really like Theon Holmes and I’m actually surprised he’s not on a lot of people’s boards it could be because he’s a little older now coming at a year three of Dayton um his game isn’t completely done like you could tell he has some things to work on um but overall I think he’s an excellent excellent player I think also him playing at Dayton may have something to do with it but when you look at his I can only compare him to the competition he played when he did come to the tournament last year he he succeeded he I think he played very well in those two games before Dayton lost so shout out to Ron homes I really like his game as I mentioned with ton Salon um as far as a 2K build and what they can and can’t do because you know you’re limited in 2K once you make your player at least it used to be uh this guy really kind of fit that and that’s Tyler Smith from G league night he is the definition of a stretch big that’s like all he does that’s all he can do he has the size he has the you know fluidity to be this maybe like two-way stretch big but really they just put him in a corner told him to shoot um it didn’t really use him much in picking po it really didn’t use really any actions or anything for him to kind of just if he was standing there they would give him the ball he’ll put it up that’s really it he’s a little weak he struggles at The Rim it’s just he’s just a shooter definit definition of a shooter we need that we need a guy that can kind of put it up like that um even though I do I think his three point percentages do need to go up uh I think they was start like 35% or something like that but either way he he definitely needs to improve his shooting I’m looking at my notes here he definitely needs to improve his shooting uh to be if he can’t do anything else he needs to be an elite shooter that’s kind of my point if if his if he was able to develop these other skills like like I said being a two-way then maybe I wouldn’t be too concerned about his three-point shooting kind of being like 30 6 37% but shooting like I mean playing like this as far as not really being able to do much else I need closer to 38 39 for me uh just because lack of ability in other areas going to another guy that can stretch the floor we have khil wear from Indiana uh last year his freshman year he was at Oregon and he transferred to khare and it helped his stop tremendously I know a lot of people talk about his effort but when it comes to his skill he’s an excellent excellent player he’s Nimble in the post um good at setting up in the paint like he he kind of creates distance between him and and and his Defender uh when it comes to setting up in the paint he does need to also get some type of post move but because he’s able to create that separation into paint because he has such a long Wings span he can kind of hold off the defender this way get the ball with his hand and then kind of you know do something from there if he develops a little bit of paint game I think that can really open it up for him cuz he can be like you know In-N-Out type big and I think that’ll be really really beneficial in the NBA uh especially specifically for us of course um like I said stretch the floor good he’s good at blocking he does need to get a little stronger he he relies more on blocks than playing like actual paint defense but it works out for him and that usually does work in the college level so I do need to get a little stronger um he’s the definition of leaving I know I’ve said this about a couple of bigs but he’s the definition of leaving his assignment um as as opposed to those other guys I I say left but it’s more of like a kind of hedge almost but you know they have to get back and then sometimes they did not except Donan Clint I think he was pretty good at getting back clearly they just straight leav is guy he straight don’t Le his guy to go for the block shot it I mean sometimes it work it it works out for him my thing cuz he off like two blocks but I FL it big that can shoot he really could be like a in andout big and I think that would be really really good for him all right and finally in his trade back category we have kwn George from Miami the thing about him he’s a 67 Wing uh the thing about him is that he was a freshman and he play came off the bench and we’ve seen guys like Scotty Barnes do it which not everybody’s going to be Scotty Barnes but we’ve seen guys like Scotty Barnes do I think Jonathan Isaac a lot of Florida State guys um came off the bench but didn’t have like significant roles in the NBA even though I know Jonathan Isaac still trying to find his way back from being I think he was an excellent excellent Defender before he got injured and then injury just got weird but either way Shan George excellent player he gives the effort on defense he’s very creative on offense he can play uh kind of this he’s not necessarily a point forward he does need to work on his passing a little bit but he does make some tremendous passes it’s just he’s not really I wouldn’t call him a playmaker but he does make some good passes some good reads he can score from anywhere and even get a little stronger uh but other than that I think he’s an excellent excellent player and I think that people use him coming off the bench as like ah we can’t be that good it’s like no this guy sometimes in college stuff like that happens I think Rob Dillingham came off the yeah Rob Dillingham came off the bench uh Deon didn’t Devon Booker come out like some really good players came off the bench um and I we don’t know if Rob dillingham’s going to be that good yet but either way you get the point I wouldn’t I would look at more the talent and you know kind of the semantics of it all and I think aan George is a really really good player so I’ve been talking enough so we are going to Rapid Fire through these U these second round picks these are all a bunch of guys that I can see us getting in the second round with our 42nd pick I believe and yeah I’m just going to go ahead and shoot through these because we need to wrap up this video this video has gotten long enough and I’m pretty sure you don’t want to see all this but for the first player we have Dylan Jones from Weber State School of Damien Lillard he’s a good big we bound and ring wing he needs to show that he can shoot he struggle uh shooting but get into the paint dominating the paint with his size uh making making uh it difficult for people to even really put a hand on him when it comes to trying to guard him because he’s so aggressive when attacking attacking the rim I think that all works out for him and I think that could really work out for us definition a bully ball um like I said needs to needs to improve a three-point shot his size kind of makes up for his defense CU he’s not that good of a Defender but I think his size just makes it difficult for people to get around him get over him uh he I think you know his physicality is what allows to beat the pass for being a subpar Defender and my subpar is just positioning and things like that but as far as like his his ability uh his physical ability he’s very physical he has the size it makes him a good Defender he’s not as athletic as you would like for him to be so that’s something that you have to you know think about but as far as what he can do as far as getting to the rim staying in front of his guy rebounding at a high rate it’s a guy you had to think about in the second round uh ni dusik I believe from Seria as well from KK Mega basket also he’s a guy that could could end up being in the first round but he’s a really incredible incredible slasher after I think last year he kind of fell off because of his shooting he improved his shooting though it still needs a ways to go but he improved his shooting good cutter good driver he uses the he uses screens very well to get around um and attack the rim he’s going to get to the rim he knows how to control the game he slows up slows down uh he really plays at his own pace and makes it difficult for people to kind of keep up with him not because his blaz and speed it’s just that you don’t know what speed he’s going to use um and I really like him Shifty creative driver I think that that’ll be good for us and he’s shown he can devel he’s developing his shot which I think also in turn will be good for us next is Oso we’re just going to call him Oso Oso igodo I believe from Marquette he’s just a Defender that’s straight up what he is he’s he’s a guy that can I think honestly defend every single position um he has this cool push floater shot that goes in it’s like feels like it’s automatic that’s really what you going to get from him a good screener good around the rim um all all in all a Defender through and through he’s someone where I I really would have him more if I’m looking to defend the five out but he’s he’s going to play he’s going to feel like a center though he’s only 69ine he’s going to feel like a center so if you’re playing if you’re defending a five out try trying to have someone that can shoot he may not be an option for you but if you’re playing the five out just because you want some you know if they’re playing if the team you’re playing is playing a five out and you just need someone to guard them but you’re not really worried about your own offensive game I think he’ll be good good like I said he could really give people hell because if you’re playing a 5 out more than likely you have like a weaker Center most in most cases you this guy is an aggressive roller he’s he’s like I said he’s good around the rim he can really P he can make them you know have to switch from to five out because yeah you might be able to U you’re not really actually you’re not going to really be able to get off shots because he’s such a good Defender and then on the other end you’re getting punished because even though he’s not this amazing offensive player he’s so physical he rolls to the rim with such aggression he sets good screens like like the other defend the defender is going to have problem with him so next we got guard cam Christie from Minnesota excellent excellent shooter uh he’s more athletic than I thought he was I I I really didn’t expect him to be that athletic when uh cuz I was I forgot what game I was watching but it was like in real time when the season was going on I didn’t see him be that athletic but going back watching the film I was oh this guy’s really this guy’s kind of athletic solid Defender not a playmaker considering he’s a guard you would want to be a better playmaker but he’s not um but shooter athletic I think they you see kind of what’s what’s coming here from Arizona we have miles Bridges light I don’t know some people been saying it some people been saying it but Kad Johnson Kad Johnson I think is is a pretty good player gets to the rim is is flirting with a shot you know it’s getting a little better uh plays good defense good relay passer he’s a guy that you know is a good connector when it comes to uh kind of his role um he’s not trying to do too much he does all the dirty work he’s he’s what I want from Miles bridges of course he’s not as skillful as miles Bridges he’s not as good as miles Bridges but I want mil Bridges I’ve said before I want him to be this dirty work kind of guy um instead of averaging 20 I would like for you to average 16 with excellent on ball defense excellent off ball defense um passing a little more cuz he I think miles is an exceptional passer continue rebounding the way you do and I don’t even need Steels like to be a good defensive player I just need you know effort uh which he like I said on ball he gives off ball a little lackluster so I’m willing to you know maybe you don’t score as many points you take away four and then you know you give me a lot more in those other areas and those dirty areas um I think he can really do it if if for whatever reason he does not want to and we don’t have miles Bridges I think that Kad Johnson is a guy that you can really look at he never was the star player at Arizona so that’s something you may you may consider but overall I think is an exceptional exceptional guy that we could really use effective V the rim um yeah really like him very very similar to Miles bridg as far as build and he does like like I said he does things I would like for Miles Bridges the staying on the west coast we have Jonathan MBO uh from San Francisco 66 he’s more of a forward though he 66 I know that could be looked at more of like a wing a guard but he’s he’s more of a small forward power forward and that is because he’s an exceptional exceptional rebound he a like 14 rebounds at 66 at San Francisco good on ball Defender good at The Rim good defense versatility on defense not bringing much to the game on offense but as good as he is um defensively I think you’re willing to take it especially in the second round lastly I I have a lot of Kentucky players on here it’s a shame uh is Justin Edwards from Kentucky 66 Wing I like his game there was times where you know he’s supposed to come in and he was supposed to be like one of the guys at Kentucky and just really never quite found his rhythm but at times he was an exceptional player um you saw his three-point percentage it looks good but he doesn’t attempt that many uh High motor athletic I really I really enjoy his game and I think there’s more to it um he’s always trying to make the most off ball whether that’s on offense or defense he plays really good off ball defense and is really active off ball on off offense uh but overall when you trying to give him the ball put him in a half court I believe he struggles a little bit but I think he’s a good player I think we can find out what we have with him and really try to I think he’s a good player I think he provides Wing depth and I think he gives us more than what we’re currently getting with JT Thor Bryce McAllen Cody Martin I think he gives us a little more than that so Justin erwards is a player to look out for in the second round and that does it that is the Charlotte Hornets draft special the Charlotte Hornets big board look I I thank y’all for every single view that you’ve given me thank you for every comment thank you for every like thank you for every Stephon Castle
I'd love to have Buzelis, Cody Williams, or Stephon Castle available to us at the 6th pick. I think Buzelis is the best fit for us at the moment, but Castle would help immediately with more playmaking and could take over the starting PG role if LaMelo once again has an injury-prone season. Williams I think could be a Jaden McDaniels-esqe type player in the NBA, and would boost our defense and 3pt shooting immediately, but struggles to be a playmaker and will need more time to build up his body to stay on the floor.
