How realistic is my dream of getting Jonas Valanciunas on a MLE ? He signed a 2yr/$30 million deal with the Pels 2 yrs ago and both parties are not interested in a reunion. Teams with cap space either already have a starting Center or might not want him due to “lack of fit”. We can start him, adios to Loon+CP, Trayce will be the backup.

How many times Loon just kept dribbling around the court trying to get a DHO while the defense was denying the pass to Steph and others and the play basically died at the spot ? JV shoots 80% from the line, 53% from the midrange including 50% from long 2s, over 70% in the restricted area but his 3s are a concern. Most of his 3PAs were typical pick and pops top of the key. We can involve him more as a corner shooter. Imagine having a post player running the post splits. Or PnR with Steph, he can throw it to the rolling Jonas or just drop off a bounce pass for a midrange shot near the FT line. Jonas also does an excellent job of finding space in the paint for those floaters and short midrange jumpers

Was curious about this one after the Mikal Bridges trade.

Ian Begley: NYK free agent C Isaiah Hartenstein is expected to be a top target for several opposing teams in free agency. With the offers that Hartenstein is expected to command on open market, it’s become increasingly unlikely that NYK will be able to retain Hartenstein, per SNY sources – via x.com
