Knicks Acquire Mikal Bridges In Blockbuster Trade | Emergency Pod 🚨
[Music] [Music] oh my goodness a Tuesday night W bomb right after we played pickup Hoops give me a little Southern lawyer we got ourselves a trade yeah we do what’s up everybody it is 11 o’clock just after 11 o’clock Eastern time on Tuesday night just finished playing pickup Hoops with Trey Kirby and W says we got a doozy for you shout out to everyone joining us live right now on YouTube hit the like button subscribe podcast listeners five star rating and review let’s jump right into it because we actually have two trades but let’s start with the key player going to the New York Knicks friendship wins tonight yeah the Brooklyn Nets are trading forward male Bridges to the Knicks for a monster trade package the Knicks will send Buon bogdanovich four unprotected first round picks in 2025 2027 2029 and 2031 sounds like a fake year also a 2025 un excuse me protected first-rounder by way of the Bucks a 2028 unprotected pick Swap and a 2025 second rounder to the Nets the Knicks will also acquire 2026 second round pick from the Nets to complete the deal that’s a lot of picks I just threw at you Trey Kirby and we’ll get in to the rockets and Nets doing some swaps as well but let’s just start with male Bridges teaming up with his Villanova boys they got four of them now uh your immediate reaction to a trade that obviously happened within the last hour here I gotta tip my cap to Leon rose on his Dominic Toretto right now I don’t got friends I got family the Knicks are the only organization in the entire NBA that has figured out how to Tamper they used Rick Brunson to get his son Jaylen Brunson then they use Jaylen Brunson Dante Devan chenzo and Josh Hart to get male Bridges all just by pure Good Vibes by liking each other by talking to each other saying hey you would love it over here it’s all legal I can’t believe it what a crazy night also I got to tip my cap to the NBA changing this you can start negotiating with your own free agents as soon as the season is over it’s turned this week crazy already so like you’re saying we are playing pickup the trade goes down hadn’t even had a chance to shower yet SKS but man it’s exciting stuff getting male Bridges I think is awesome for the Knicks literally they’re getting a guy who played 83 regular season games a ton of minutes hasn’t missed a game since high school you thought maybe Jaylen Brunson was the perfect Tom Fido player you thought maybe Josh Hart was the perfect Tom fiido player you thought oan noi was maybe it’s m Bridges they keep finding different facets of Tom Fido’s personality and they’re building that team this way I’ve got a lot of questions about what’s going to be going on with the Knicks front Court they paid a huge price to bring these guys together and they got a it works they got to hope that the Boston Celtics model is the right model for the New York Knicks as well yeah again I won’t go through every year of these picks but it’s five you know first round picks really four by way of the Knicks then that one that is protected uh from the bucks so this is a huge draft capital for the Nets to get in return here and we’ve got some other reporting um sny’s Ian Begley he said this deal came together really quick after Bridges informed the Nets that hey I want to be a Nick I want to go play with my Bros you know it’s a lot fun jumping on a podcast with them I want to play with them uh all season long so he was prepared to use that as leverage to prevent other teams sort of for trading for him they decided to move off of him I think they’re leaning into probably wisely sort of a rebuild a tank here maybe for a couple years and have draft Capital to to play with here moving forward once we get into the whole uh rockets and Nets sort of swaps that happened as well because man this is this is crazy that they have four guys here on that Championship Villanova Squad this is like Villanova Voltron this is what’s going on is there a fifth one that I don’t know about that we can complete this to actually make it Voltron remember that Troy that was fun well a actually it was Ryan Archie diako he was also on those teams but they had they had to sacrifice him for the for the rest of the squad to be able to come together to clear out that room but I do still have a lot of questions about the Knicks I like them getting Bridges I do think that the way he plays is just such a good plug-and-play kind of guy because like OG an anobi he doesn’t need the basketball to be effective offensively but unlike OG he handles the ball he can get his own basket which as we saw with the Knicks Brunson eventually needed somebody else to do something like it was incredible the string of 40-point games he put together in the playoffs but for the Knicks to get to the next level they were going to need another Creator so I don’t think that bridg is necess neily takes the ball out of his hands all the time certainly it’ll be Brunson time when it’s in clutch moments but I also think that there will be times when Bridges can carry for them however I like Dante D venzo in the starting lineup with the Knicks Julius Randall was an All-Star last year he’ll theoretically be coming back or maybe they give him away for pennies on the dollar I don’t really know who’s going to be playing in the front court for the Knicks at this point because you know Mitchell Robinson at one point seemed to be available coming into the summer time now they’re saying that Isaiah hartenstein is more likely to be leaving after this trade has been done it feels like it can be a completely different front court with the Knicks which is such a huge Advantage for them which we just saw in the playoffs so that part I’m a little confused about they are going really really Wing heavy here yeah I mean it’s almost like they’re looking at the Boston Celtics as the team to beat who have Elite Wing players and we got to slow those guys down but you know they never matched up in a in this postseason but they’re looking at that I would assume yeah there are lots of reports here still that OG an anobi who is testing free agency remains a priority for the team uh I think Fred Katz of the athletic said I don’t think this team would likely trade like like I said five first round picks if they didn’t feel pretty confident that he would be returning um so you know you think they will sign him they do have like payroll issues though because of doing this trade right now they took back more money than they sent out they’re now hard capped at the first apron that’s projected to be like you know 178.6 million so that’s going to make it harder to sign ogan anomi harder if even possible to sign depending on the number of course Isaiah hartenstein but the Knicks have spoken to several teams about I guess the Wizards being one of them about the potential trade of moving Mitchell Robinson so it’s it’s definely looking at I think they keep Oobi they they come to a number they resign him and then it’s one of the other right it’s either Isaiah hartstein gone because you know he gets thrown a huge bag from another team that comes in and swipes him or it’s like they get off of Mitchell Robinson and maybe then there’s the possibility of keeping hartstein it’s not going to be both of them or all three of them I guess if you include o yeah and there’s no way that both robbinston and hartenstein are coming back and you know judging market-wise like there could be a team that wants to overpay for Isaiah hartenstein after we saw what he did in the playoffs having a little bit bigger role there and that to me is a little worrying for the Knicks they’re going to be pretty small because Robinson I think he’s a really solid starting center but he’s like 25 minutes and after that you’re kind of asking a lot from him not to mention he misses time quite regularly 20 games a season probably he missed time in the playoffs came back missed time during the regular season last year came back that’ll be a question mark and that to me is like also then how does Randall fit in because he’s got a year left on his contract and a player option for the season after that still a good player at least in the regular season we haven’t seen him quite hit those same Heights in the postseason and the Knicks really took off when he went down with injury last year so I wonder if maybe they’ll be looking to make a move with him during the course of the off season to try and bring in a little bit more size because they’re going to need somebody additionally whether it be hartenstein or Robinson who’s the starter there they’re gonna need somebody else to play some of these minutes yeah it’s true but I think leag the league teams are just like it’s easier to find that Center than it is to find these sort of two-way wing guys that are obviously lock down Defenders and stuff like that do you think like they got Bridges here but hypothetically you’re say let’s say you’re the Knicks and like a potential deal like this could have got you Paul George or could have got you Brandon Ingram like how would you have ranked sort of bridges Ingram Paul George maybe anyone else I’m I’m forgetting sort of as a wing player um you know how would you have put them on your board I guess like does Bridges being buddies with these guys as silly as that sounds like mean more than an older Paul Jor or Ingram who’s maybe more offensive oriented so you’re literally asking me how much does friendship matter on the basketball court basically we didn’t lose tonight when we were on the same team no we did we did it we we lost games against each other when we were broken up but yeah not together we didn’t yeah um I mean I personally think that this deal should have went down for Zack LaVine that’s who I would have had at the top of my list if I was the Knicks uh but honestly I think of the three guys you mentioned Bridges Paul George and who was the other guy you said Ingram Ingram I would definitely want M Bridges just because I think he’s kind of a Paul George like player right now in that he’s so plug Inplay he plays both sides of the ball and he’s also much younger than Paul George is his contract is a little bit less and you know there aren’t going to be any questions with Bridges coming to this team about where he fits in they’re all going to figure out how to play together so easily just because they do have that chemistry built in here I think it is somehow going to matter and if not um that’s going to be really disappointing for all of us uh let’s get to the secondary deal sort of attached to this one that’s the way it’s sort of being presented because the Nets have also agreed to a trade with the rockets that will bring the Nets back their first round pick in 2026 in exchange for a 2027 first round swap originally belonging to the Phoenix Suns hold on to your asses here because this gets a little confusing the Rockets also acquired the right to swap whichever first round pick they have in 2025 which would either be their own or OKC’s with Phoenix’s which had belonged to the Nets so in exchange for that the hou the Houston relinquished its right to swap that pick with Brooklyn in 20125 allowing the Nets to retain control over their picks for the next two years basically the Nets are getting sort of their picks back here is the best way to break this down now here’s the real WTF moment from all this according to w the Rockets are attempting to use those Suns picks to trade for Kevin Durant though Phoenix has resisted thus far for now they’re saying no but that was like whoa W just slips that in in one of his like eight tweets tonight breaking all this down like hold on I had to like read it three times I’m like whoa whoa whoaa what’s going on here the Rockets we had been told like they’re sort of big game hunting like they want to like really lean into getting a star and suddenly you know maybe it was acquiring Kevin Durant but anyway that hasn’t happened um but what do you think of sort of the net side of everything and then we can get to the Rockets but the Nets sort of like getting their picks back and a whole bunch of other ones of course from the Knicks I think this is smart from the Nets and I think it’s a tough decision to make to say yeah we’re pulling the plug on this trade even though Bridges was the centerpiece of the Kevin Durant trade uh that we made you know he was really on fire when he came over from Phoenix during that back half of the Season he struggled as the number one guy this year so the Nets looking where they were at last season they were kind of stuck in the middle and if Bridges is the number one guy and you don’t have control of any of your picks in the future you’re really not going anywhere but it’s also hard to say yeah we’re trading our franchise guy right away and we’re GNA have nothing again but the good thing is they made that decision so now they can start their rebuild in full I wonder what it means for Nick Claxton but I love that the Nets can actually have the confidence to be bad can you know make the right business decis ision here even if it’s going to make the team less appealing in the short term Sam Quinn did the work for me here because it’s a lot to keep track of but after spending the past several years without control of their own picks like we were talking about the Nets now have this two-year sort of tank window thanks to the picks that they got back from Houston they control New York’s drafts for basically the foreseeable future they have picks coming from the Suns they even have picks from the Mavericks and the 76ers so suddenly you know they’re like it’s not to the extent of the OKC Thunder in the west to have a million of these coming from different teams but you know it’s getting there where they have they’re G to have all these bites at the Apple and like you said sort of knowing where we stand now we’ll probably be bad we will find guys we’ll try guys but we will have our picks to hopefully you know build off of a superstar which you got a hit in in these drafts and you know by all accounts they’re going to get they’re going to be better than maybe tomorrow night’s uh 2024 draft in terms of finding like a superstar player to maybe build around it’s a good time to be bad most teams are trying to win right now and there were only a handful of teams that were really stuck in the middle and like comparing them to the bulls the bulls are you know people have been asking them to make moves similar to this saying you’re going nowhere trade it and start the rebuild the Nets are actually doing it and they do have a chance here now to be bad enough that they could get a franchise guy in the draft next season or perhaps the season after that so yeah with all I mean the Western Conference is stacked right now we know they’re tough one through probably 13 next season especially with all these crazy moves the Rockets are doing you know the Spurs will be a little bit better the Grizzlies are going to be better there’s no real drags in the Western Conference really conference is the at the bottom is a little weaker right now but you know there are still nine teams that are going to be pretty solid I I do believe so there’s an opportunity here for teams to bottom out and maybe be able to bounce back really quickly now what do you think of the W slipping in this Kevin Durant element here of the rockets in getting picks that they could give back to the Suns and and this again this was a real WTF like holy moly I mean I know the Rockets want a star but didn’t think it was maybe Kevin Durant and and you know you can may have even an opinion on on that on his sort of level of stardom as he gets older but your take I know this happened not long ago but what do you think I mean I was a little bit of a Walter White no meme to be quite honest like you don’t need this man look what just happened with the Suns it didn’t work it didn’t really work in Brooklyn either it did work with Steph Curry so if you got that infrastructure uh go for it but I wouldn’t be trading a ton of stuff uh for Kevin Durant I don’t think at this point in his career which is odd for me to say because when he was getting traded away from the Nets I was like the Raptors should do it they should give anything uh for this guy but I don’t necessarily know that despite how great of a player he is I don’t know if he’s necessarily taking teams to the next level at this point in his career I think uh I don’t know um but I I do like the rockets and I think that they are the team to watch really for the next 24 hours because they’ve got six really good players still on their rookie contracts and honestly I think that if push come to shove you could probably get any of the Rockets six rookie contract guys in a trade they also have the number three pick in tomorrow night’s draft and they have all of these picks that they’ve been accumulating we know they want to win because they brought brought in Fred Van vet they brought in Dylan Brooks and most importantly they brought in EM Oka a guy who was like at last trade deadline saying we need to make a trade we need to try and win now so they’ve got a ton of stuff uh assets wise they’ve got good young players they’ve got decent size contracts they just guaranteed a whole bunch of role players who could be aggregated for stuff I think the Rockets are obviously trying to make a move they’re trying to make a big splash here I can’t wait to see what it is because that could be yet another team that get in the mix in the western conference with a lot of young Talent yeah for sure it’s like now that this has happened and it’s interesting reading some of the comments here there are definitely Nicks fans going what are we doing like we have absolutely gone all in on male Bridges and as great as he is it’s you know I think some Nicks fans a lot of people thought they’re they’re accumulating all these draft picks they’re accumulating all these players to make a splashy move at some point especially as they feel more confident with their team uh and and you know Brunson as their star and they’ll find another one but like is male bridges that guy so I understand that but man now that this has happened what does this mean for the Brandon Ingram Market you know is Darius Garland going anywhere are the Thunder you know are they not done they they got your guy Caruso but they’re a team of course that could put together a very very um Hefty sort of package for any sort of player really that’s available there’s the Paul George of it all you know Julius Randall on the Knicks like we just sort of skipped over that part like who knows what this means for him I mean he’s there he didn’t play because he was injured but like obviously an All-Star Talent all NBA guy so man um I I wonder like we’re going to be doing a bunch of emergency podcasts here over the over the next couple days yeah the Knicks were in a strange spot they had a really good team they obviously needed to add a piece and they have been saving up uh their assets for such a long time and managing their cap really well having tradable contracts and having all of these picks they could finally trade for somebody that somebody never really came along right like they could have maybe done it for Donovan Mitchell but they went the Jaylen Brunson route that’s working out for them it feels really like Mitchell is going back to Cleveland he’s probably going to resign uh he’s gonna sign an extension there it seems like so maybe Garland will be headed out he could be an Ingram trade like it kind of clears some things up for both teams I think for Cleveland to add a wing uh and Ingram and for New Orleans to get a guard uh in Garland so maybe something uh happens there but yeah it definitely feels like with the new CBA coming in teams are trying to get their trades in uh before they’re hitting this second apron right because it gets so complicated and man I really feel for the coders of the trade machines out there because this stuff is complicated bro when I’m looking at all these picks when I’m looking at the new CBA regulations I feel like I’m reading textbooks from college right now I’m like having to go in I’m gonna have to zoom in to make sure I’m reading the proper Clauses in the right orders that’s Insanity I forget who I was trying to trade the other day but I I’m pretty sure ESPN’s trade machine didn’t even work like it wouldn’t take guys because I don’t know if it hasn’t like updated yet with all the new rules or whatever because we haven’t hit the start of for I like this doesn’t even work all right let’s go to the other one what’s the other one called fans SPO or whatever fans SPO yeah it was good too it seemed to be working it seemed like they had updates and stuff but I was like oh my God I can’t even use this ESPN trade machine it’s not even like ready to work yet so let’s get going if they if Kevin Pelton can’t figure it out I got no chance Jesus so Bobby Mark’s season right now this guy uh call him the chef because he knows all about the second apron that’s true that is a good point uh you got your Bobby marks you got your Nate Duncan your Johnny halls I mean yeah these guys you keep these guys busy right now and we need them uh so any final thoughts here uh on the Knicks going all in on friendship and getting another Villanova boy uh in Mel Bridges from the nets for a whole bunch of draft capital and then the Nets getting some picks back from the Rockets and the Rock maybe having their eye on Kevin Durant this all happened in you know the last 90 minutes uh final thoughts my man all right here’s a final thought for each of these teams the NBA is often a copycat League I feel like you hear that about a lot of sports leagues but it’s definitely true we just saw the Boston Celtics win the NBA championship with three-point shooting and switchable defense the Knicks have decided that’s what we want to do as well even though they’ve had some pretty good success playing as a mash yourf face kind of team the past couple of Seasons I think that’s interesting um and it’ll be interesting to seeing to see how it plays out and what they actually decide to do with their front Court it is expensive uh they better hope that the Vibes remain Immaculate but this is a really deep team so I think the Knicks did a pretty good job it is a hefty price to pay I’ll give them like a probably like a seven out of ten uh on this trade the Nets they were in a depressing situation I think heading into this summer Ben Simmons is their highest paid player they had no picks now you can see a little bit of light at whatever the name of the tunnel is that connects Brooklyn and Manhattan there is a there is a name for it and I’m sure the people actually know what it is but I think they made a smart move yeah the Lincoln Tunnel it’s Lincoln one side to the other uh but there’s at least a little bit of hope uh I think for the Nets rather than being stuck hoping to make the plan I think they made a tough smart decision and I think they’ll probably be open for business as well I wonder if Cam Johnson is a guy who could be attainable I give them an eight out of okay and and let’s not forget Ben Simmons with his shirt off uh you know shooting jumpers against guys like me yeah he looks great he looks great he’s feeling it yeah he’s he’s feeling confident uh and this is the year uh so if that happens if Ben Simmons is Unleashed I will upgrade this to a nine uh final take Houston Rockets hey they’re just hopping in for fun that you want to do over fine we’ll do it uh I can’t give them a great score right now until I know exactly what they’re going to do but I think they become a very dangerous and a very attractive team because Houston lowkey is a humongous City a huge Market they do get free agents they have a history of in the past getting free agents dating back to like Dwight Howard people like going and playing for the Rockets So I think they’ve got a coach that people that players around the league like in EM udoka they’ve got a little bit of an identity playing defense last year being hard-nosed veteran team I don’t necessarily know which of their young guys they’re going to keep but there are pieces there that no matter what kind of player you are no matter what type of player you are you could say wow I could maybe win with those guys so I think that the Rockets uh there’s been a lot of talk about taking their next phase of their rebuild phase two I guess was last year Tim McMahon says so this probably is phase three they’re in a chire mode and I think that that’s going to be the case for not only like this transaction cycle but it will be at the trade deadline and next year they become a real player for all of the big names that become available so I think the Rockets I can only give them a five out of 10 right now because they only did some doover kind of moves uh but they have a potential to be the long-term 10 out of 10 winner I think I’m putting on my tinfoil hat here a little bit but uh I trust the source Andrew schle who does down to dunk who is obviously you know one of the most plugged in OKC thund th uh beat reporters out there and writers and all that and podcasters he keeps dropping little hints little nuggets about this idea of Kevin Durant returning to the Thunder and they and he doesn’t Chuck this around you know willy-nilly you know like I think there’s he knows something a little bit more than than the casual or what we may or may not know and you know I wonder if the Rockets have uh sniffed out a little bit and like this idea of like okay well first off he he’s available oh well we would like that and you know there could be a little uh could be a little race here for KD if that’s something that’s even actually in play here I’m just saying I’m just saying uh I’ll just end with that this have to go skats we’re gonna have to go back through the archives and see how many Kevin Durant sweep Stakes we’ve had throughout the years are you kidding me we had one during the off seon uh when he made a trade request from the Nets then we had it when he made a trade request and to the Suns now he might be going from the Suns to uh the Rockets or the Thunder obviously we had the Oklahoma City to Golden State that’s a lot of teams bro yeah I mean Kevin Durant sweep Stakes just behind the Tim Hardaway sweep Stakes for me I don’t know if you saw the betting LS for that but uh I got my eye on Tim Hardway Jr first land some coin on that and then yes KD once again sweep Stakes but let’s uh let’s call it there a little emergency podcast shout out to people joining us live on YouTube we’d love to see it hit the like button subscribe if you haven’t uh leave your comments your thoughts your grades like TK did there on the Nicks getting Mel Bridges on the Nets getting a bunch of picks and obviously in the Rockets getting in the mix here let’s hear from you guys podcast listeners festar rating and review oh I will remind everyone tomorrow night yep tomorrow night it’s still Tuesday right now but on Wednesday night we will be jumping on playback to watch the NBA draft oh yeah that’s happening less than 24 hours from now so we’ll be uh I don’t know how long we’ll last definitely the lottery teams maybe uh sometimes we make it all the way through the first round we’ll see how we’re feeling but uh that’s tomorrow night at 800 PM Eastern that link is in the show notes so you can just join us for free there use us as a little bit of a second screen experience you got the Bulls picking 10 you got my wraps picking a little later so I’m sure we’ll be on live for for our teams um probably infuriating us but who knows we might have some trades as well uh you know when you heard Johns talking what’s that it feels like it we’ve had two trades since the end of the season and like notable players in the trades yeah you’re right this this is different than normal because of the schedule so that will be very fun uh but until tomorrow night’s playback and then we’ll be back on Thursday in the no dunks podcast feed and on YouTube to uh recap and do our winners and losers of night one at least of the draft can’t wait for that until then Clipper Bros you heard it here first have a great time thought it needed a little more yeah that was you hey friendship is rare but it’s real embrace you need a friend to do it [Music] [Music]
No Dunks emergency pod to discuss the New York Knicks acquiring Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets for a boatload of first-round picks. Did the Nova Knicks overpay for friendship? What does this mean for the Knicks chances of re-signing OG Anunoby and/or Isaiah Hartenstein in free agency? Have the Nets made the right decision to lean into a rebuild? Are the Houston Rockets actually making a run at Kevin Durant? And which big name will be traded next?

This is awesome for my soul.
First?
I was in a group project in Villanova – and had both Mikal Bridges AND Jalen Brunson as my partners! We were GroupMe official 😊
New York wildcats
NETS in 5..
5 FR picks!😂 This trade will be the dumbest trade by the Knicks😅
The Vibe in that building is going to be all time.
So a team that has historically underperformed and hasnt won a championship in decades just traded away their future for a player who isnt even All-NBA?
No team like the Knicks
FINALLY
The picks for picks trade with Houston is weird. Full tank.
Bridges is constant
Guys it’s the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel
Mark my words. Knicks are going to the finals next year.
Guys ima be in Atlanta area next week do you guys play pick up hoops every Tuesday if so how can I get in on the run
i guess knicks is letting go of OG
Houston also doesn't have state tax.. more money for the players
Knicks think friendship will solve everything, they will lose O.G who is better player then Mikal beside durabilty, where is Randle going ? or Hartenstein
Gotta shout out to the boys on this "OMG" trade report.
Watching this brought a smile because The Nets have picks again!…
I just hope they don't mess it up again…
That Bucks pick has now been involved in trades including Jrue Holiday, CJ McCollum/Josh Hart, Jerami Grant, Jalen Duren, and now Mikal Bridges
Some true SICKOS. Hopping on the Emergency Pod after the pick up run. Best and oldest basketball pod 🙌🏼
Here in NYC still waiting on a real playoff run. Don't think this was the move to make one happen. Feels like this is going to be a big overpay, trying to make a #3 guy a #2 guy.
Hell the Celtics just won the title because they had 4 of these "#3 guys" to go with their 1 and 2 guys.
And the raptors hate each other
I like Brydges on the Knicks but they gave up a lot. Would love for OG to return to the Raps 🙂
Crazy Brooklyn gave up so quick
You gotta be freaking kidding me! Damn Knicks! I wanted Pacers to acquire Bridges!
Not sure what to think about this deal. On one hand Mikal Bridges does upgrade them if they can retain OG, which might seem likely.
On the other hand, the amount of picks they gave up for him is insane considering he's never been selected All-NBA or even selected to an All-star game. Yes the picks are a bit of a gamble, but when you compare it to other trades that have involved around this amount of draft capital. It's always involved players who've been selected to multiple All-Nba teams and All-Star selections throughout their career.
Can I work for
You boys
Why don’t you guys like dunks?
Im not seeing the hype in a bunch of late first round picks
I love this for the nets
They can now flip ben for a bad contract and a pick
They can flip cam johnson for picks
They can flip dfs for a pick
5 fr picks???
Could the Knicks get a couple of picks back for Randle? I don't see how he fits in now
Knicks trying to find out if you can win a championship with vibes
“Villanova Voltron” is hilarious 😂
I think this is a massive overpay though. This will not make them that much better. And let’s not forget Julie’s Randal plays in this team. He has to be traded now I believe.
EMERGENCY CLASSIC!
As much as I love the headline and the whole Villanova Knicks vibe, that's too many picks for a 2nd/3rd caliber guy. This trade will haunt them in the future.
8:20 It is SO frustrating when guys like yall say stuff like this. The month they had Brunson + OG + Randle playing, they were the best team in the league. Asking how Randle fits in and insinuating that he doesn’t really fit is insane. He was playing some of the best basketball of his career and fit perfectly next to his teammates before the dislocated shoulder. Where does this random idea come from? So frustrating.
Trade Randle for cash & picks, keep og and hartenstein
giving up a shit ton of picks for mikal bridges is smart but giving up a shit ton for durant isnt wise. okay, trey.
That’s a lotta picks!
Maybe this means a homecoming for OG? 😛
Let’s gooooo
We need Celtics and the Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals next year!!!
Also Knicks fleecing the league with these recent trades
Apparently, if Bogdanovic is the only player they are trading away, they are hard capped and lose about 11 million that they can use to resign OG and Hartenstein because they are gaining more salary than sending away. I think going all in with the draft picks is too much if they can't keep all of their key players together long term. At least 3-4 years.
Bring back Arcidiacano
