with the NBA draft starting tonight we have multiple Raptors updates including the Raptor assistant GM Dan Tolman coming out and directly stating the interest the Raptors have in bronny James in this year’s NBA draft so we’ll discuss that including the Raptors being linked to a shooter from the Washington Wizards and tonight’s a big night for the Toronto Raptors in the middle of a retool a rebuild the draft is where you can really shape your roster for the future so we will be going live make sure to tune in to the Raptor stest subscribe and uh make sure you keep a lookout for the live that we’re going to be having going for the NBA draft but let’s dive into the news that’s been going down leading into the draft and the first thing we’re taking a look at is the Raptors executive Dan hulsman revealing the interest the Raptors have in bronny James now we’ve seen the multitude of reports the multiple you know the things that have come out regarding the Raptors you know being linked to bronny James they’ve scouted him throughout the year they’ve discussed the possibility of bringing him into the organization those rumors and stuff have been revealed and then basically rich Paul has come out and said that the Raptor president Messi jery loves bronny James and they could definitely take him without even seeing him at the 31st overall selection now when uh when Rich PA came out and said that I was uh I thought that was pretty bold I thought that was pretty crazy cuz I mean we look at bronny James stats he’s a 6-2 guy that was list 61 I think in the NBA draft combine a player that definitely has some good athleticism at the point guard position can play defense as a good passer but the stats were not good in college average 4.8 points per game 2.8 rebounds you know 20 minutes and of action night 36% from the field and 26% from the three uh three-point line but he did deal with a lot of unfortunate circumstances over the course of his college career dealt with a heart issue to start off the season which isn’t just like your average injury that’s mentally must take a big hurdle to jump back over so you know there’s real reason for a guy that you know was a McDonald’s All-American player to you know turn things around after you know being a year removed from that Health scare especially when he has the resources the backing the genetics of a LeBron James but the stats are concerning however Raptor and assistant GM Dan tossman did come out and directly address all the Brony James rumors he said I think all these players are guys we’re looking at Brony James is definitely in the mix every player on the board we’re looking long and hard at so I wouldn’t say we’ve ruled out anybody so definitely the Toronto Raptors you know was brought up the questions obviously directly getting asked regarding bronny games given all the reports I mean Rich Paul is coming out and directly name dropping Messi U Jerry directly name dropping the troto Raptors as a potential destination for bronny James and I know a lot of raptors fans again looking at the stats looking at the numbers don’t want to see him on the on the Toronto Raptors but you know unless there’s a chance we end up Landing LeBron who himself is what going to be 40 years old by the time he’d leave the LA Lakers so there is all that there’s all that to be discussed I don’t think he’s coming to the Toronto Raptor on a minimum contract on one of these types of deals but you’d want to hopefully draft Brony James with Theo as I said at the intro as I said to the lead of this fit the draft is crucial right now for the Raptors to not be coming out here and leading a tank for the next five six seasons so if we’re wasting draft picks you know in the late first round early second round on a guy that we don’t think is good at basketball then it doesn’t make sense but if there is a legitimate possibility he can be an elite guard in the NBA playing defense facilitating I’ll Trust MSU Jerry and I’m all here for it for uh the memes and the the things that are going on along those lines but you know Dan tossman had some other things to say he also discussed the interest of the Toronto Raptors have been receiving regarding their second pick essentially he’s saying for we are preparing for the phones to be busy leading up to day two so if you’re not familiar the Toronto Raptors traded for the number two the number one pick in the second round of this year’s NBA draft and things are going to be different this season in regards to how the draft is set up how everything is organized basically it’s going to be on two nights so night one will be the first 30 selections and night two of the NBA draft will be the second round so the the second night and the Raptors are leading that off so they have the number one pick on day two so the the other NBA teams the 29 teams have the possibility they have the option to really take a hard look you know reorder their draftboard in terms of the players that are still available there at that point and be able to look at their options to trade up to maybe get a guy that they thought would have gone in the first round and trade up for the torona Raptors so essentially we have some leverage there I’m excited that the the Raptors front office kind of knows what they’re in for because again that was a nice asset that was a nice pull in the OG an anobi trade so Shadow Messiah jury Bobby Webster Dan Tolman everyone that’s out there uh making these moves for the Toronto Raptors I expect to be a crazy crazy NBA draft here tonight but let’s dive into the second uh topic of this video and the Trona Raptors are targeting a wing shooter in Landry shamut now this is a guy that’s kind of sneakily been brought up in Raptor’s discussions for years and usually what this means is Missi jury he’s not willing to overpay he’s not willing to really cash out to make one of these deals happen to make a trade end up going down but he does like him as a player and Landry shamon whose value isn’t crazy high right now is uh is now been linked to the Toronto Raptors who basically dive into the report coming from Mike Scotto the Raptor’s Wizards Reserve guard Landry Shaman has also drawn exploratory trade interest from several teams including the Clippers the Lakers the Mavericks the Jazz the Raptors and the magic and that makes sense you know if a lot of these teams trying to jump into contention the Clippers Lakers Mavericks you even magic you know they want a guy that can play some defense can knock down some shots I mean Landry shamut is a guy that is a solid sort of utility role piece seven points 1.3 rebounds 1.2 assists he was solid for the Phoenix Suns but the 3point percentage did drop off a significant bit during his his tenure with the Wizards only 34% still shirts 42% on Corner 3es only 27 years old even though he’s bounced around a different squads different teams Landry shamut has been a solid player there in the NBA but uh for the Toronto Raptors you know looking at him as a as a potential you know piece off the the Wizards I don’t really know if it makes a ton of sense for us right now because we have Grady dick we have Gary Tren Jr we have RJ Barrett who knows what’s going to happen with Bruce Brown here now at this point so a lot of guys that play that position landre sham it’s a little bit older and is on a contract that I feel like is more apt is more fitting for a contender so maybe the Raptors look at this as hey we can bring in Landry shamut redeem his value to the point to where it was maybe a couple seasons ago and then deal him to you know another Squad and like a Buy Low sell High aspect and deal him at the trade deadline maybe that’s uh the direction the Raptors want to go into but I will say this if the Toronto Raptors give up valuable assets valuable pieces to acquire a Landry shamut on draft night over free agency you know give the wizard something valuable that could affect our future that’s that’s a that would be a ridiculously foolish silly fumble by Messiah Jerry by the wraps I don’t care how high you are on the guy how many times the Raptors have been linked to Landry Shaman in previous seasons and things that are going on you know if you can get them for nothing if the Wizards are just dangling out there which I feel like that that won’t be the case I mean we can pull up this report again there’s a bunch of teams that have that EXP exploratory trade interest and trying to buy low on a landre shaman if a deal is to go down the Wizards probably want to trade up you know they’re if they’re doing like one of these just give away an asset type of Trades they probably want to do it to someone in conference but if we if we trade like two seconds if we trade like a few we’re not trading future first no world that ends up actually going down but if we do do one of these deals for a for a Landry shamid Messi’s had some fumbles he’s had some weird takes in the reers I’m still a big believer mide the moves he’s making Bobby Webster our front office but that would just be an idiotic fumble so been confused by this Bronny is a fringe G League player with serious health concerns and wouldn't even be getting draft consideration if not for his daddy. Landry Shamet has been very injury prone the past two seasons playing in 40 and 46 games respectively. He missed the final 18 games of last season due to a calf injury.

Honestly dude with the value of players you get in the second round it wouldn’t hurt to take a chance on Bronny considering the upside he could have. It’s not like I’m saying trade up into the lottery to take him but a second round pick makes sense

Bronny James is not a real prospect. Tolzman said they are considering every prospect on their board. He can’t come out and give any real details of their draft night plans. Rich Paul is a salesman, Masai probably does love Bronny but doesn’t mean he’s a serious choice at 31.

The chances of a big draft night deal, is rare, pick swaps are more common. If it's going to be a "big splash" then it would have come already (see the Knicks yesterday) or it will come after the draft is over. Doesn't mean it won't happen, but realistically it's less then 25% chance something big will happen tonight for the Raps. They made their "big deals" during last season, and now have their 4 core, and tonight will add to it – if another team really wants GTJ, or Brown, or Jak then a deal gets done, they're the only ones with trade'ability. But how many teams are lining up on draft night for those players?
We're 100% sure not picking Bronny. I just hope we get Ware or Edey tonight.
Tolzman said nobody has been ruled out. Imo, that's the only statement to make, but of course they've ruled out Bronny. He's a waste of a pick, especially at 31.

Only way I’m interested in Landry Shamet is if it looks like this: Bruce B + Chris B + 2026 & 29 second round picks = Kyle Kuzma +landry Shamet. That is the only way! We take on more $ and think Wash could sign Chris for less next year and flip Bruce at deadline.
We get best player and think KK could play either forward position.
