    I’m not Deni obsessed like some people on this sub. But he’s a young guy on a great contract. A great two-way player who can shoot fits on any team and would be in high demand at the deadline.

    Even if he wasn’t part of our future (and I thought he was), I figured he’d only get moved for an overwhelming offer… which this is not. It’s not a disaster, but it is disappointing.

    We will still be rebuilding when his contract is up, at which point it will be give him a big contract or he walks.

    We got a lottery pick, a future first, and a good player who will fetch more assets.

    That’s a solid return for a dude who just a year ago this sub was ready to ship out of town for a ham sandwich.
