  1. Castle, Vassel, and Wemby in the middle ❀️

I’m going to say it now. In 6 months people are going to feel silly about spending 10 times more energy freaking out over the trade than appreciating Castle. He’s going to be an awesome prospect and this team is going to fall in love with him

  3. Yeah the trade is a bit disappointing but I’m still super hyped for castle. Best player in the draft

The trade also signals that PATFO really believes in castle

Better use those picks to trade for Garland. Hopefully Castle can enjoy being the backup.

  5. We drafted the #4 pick that will eventually shutdown the #3 pick in matchups and more

  6. I’m stoked, we’re gonna have sick POA defense and if shooting improves across our roster, watch out for Sochan, Wemby, Vassell, Castle and Champagnie as a nice lineup next season.

He is not a point guard, does anyone here watch college basketball? He is a wing. Fine pick, but the spurs are still looking for their future 1 and 4

  9. The biggest need he fills for us will be perimeter defense, which was terrible for us. I don’t think he will be the point guard at least at first, as that is a steep learning curve and we were really good last year with the Jones-Vassell-Wemby lineups so why not just build on that success? If Castle starts, maybe it would be in a lineup with Jones, Vassell, Sochan, and Wembanyama.

I’ll admit I’ve been meh on Castle coming into the draft.

But I can see the appeal. Boston has a bunch of guys who can defend, dribble and shoot. If Castle can get his shot up (and I think there’s a good chance his shot develops), he’s that type of guy.

    I don’t think he’s a true PG, but he’s huge for a PoA defender.

    I’m excited

For years I have just always trusted the Pops FO. He’s tall and defensive minded, and I am sure he will become a star.

Spurs going to have back to back rookie of the year’s this time next year.

I absolutely love this pick. Defense needed to get better and Castle should help move the team in the right direction. Maybe next season opposing guards won’t have career highs every time they play the Spurs, lol.

Our New point guard is on his way to Minneapolis… Castle was a 2 in Connecticut. We know he views himself as a point guard but that remains to be seen at this level. We can’t be certain that him being an NBA point guard will ever come to fruition because it’s unproven. Dilli played the 1 at Kentucky so the point guard skills were on full display and Rob’s ability is a known commodity. Very unfortunate…

  15. Our starting PG! so excited to see a new era with him and Wemby! dangerous af duo along with Sochan that trio on defense will be nasty for years to come!
