  1. Crazy how nowadays 50+ million a year isn’t even a supermax anymore

PB&J locked up for the next four years, LFG! Best duo in Nuggets history will run it back.

Fully expect Jamal to come back next season with a chip on his shoulders (or, at least, a larger chip than the one he usually has there) after how his playoffs went.

  3. 50 million a year for Murray is crazy but we’re in a bad position

That’s a big mistake because he has been very inconsistent and not a player, Jokic can depend on when he is on the bench. The Nuggets are not where they should be going forward and need more cap space. This is too much money for the way Jamaal has played during the playoffs and not even considered a second team offensive player. Clutch player, he has a few games, but the Nuggets need consistency and average at least 20 points a game. If I am the Nuggets, I am weighing my options for value and building around Jokic. Jamal is a good player but he is also a risk because of his injuries.

Hell fuckin yeah. All hail our Canadian King 🍁👑

Here’s a great post by Andy Bailey: [Every player in NBA history who matched or exceeded Jamal Murray’s career playoff averages for points, rebounds and assists, sorted by career playoff three-point percentage…](https://x.com/AndrewDBailey/status/1806415976516497895)

Part of me wished we would extend him on a near max. At least he didn’t make all nba. Hopefully he’s healthy next year.

  7. As long as he stays healthy, he’s worth it. The injuries are a bit concerning but I believe he can get that fixed

Jamal getting that Scotty Barnes money

Underpay he is gonna be all nba next season

Where else could he have gotten anything near that? Why not offer him a team friendlier deal and then do the same with mpj down the road? They both have missed half of their last contracts and are nowhere near all star level players.

If you gonna have 3 max contracts with the new cba you better make sure they are worth every penny or you gonna end up like the suns.

The jokic era could easily end with just 1 ring because the front office is too much in love with their own guys , we all love them, but with the new cba i would expect an organization to flip the switch and start treating this shit like the business that it is ? Jokic is gonna be 30 soon and he not playing past 35.

There is only 1 player on this team thats worth a max, everybody else is replaceable and it pisses me of that players never feel like they owe something to a club anymore, we lost 2 peak jokic years bc the front office did the right thing and stuck with jamal after his injury, MPJs career would have never happend if the organization didnt resurect him from the dead basicly with all the patience in the world….at what point are the nuggets gonna get the better end of any deal for all the goodness and holyness they show towards our players?

Meanwhile the lakers get whoever they want on a discount, the wolves and celtics can have teams with 4 all stars and some all defense players each…make it make sense.

Stay healthy and in shape over the offseason this will be worth it. Super excited to keep Jamal…was worried this would drag out.
