“To meet Joel Embiid” he knows it’s not like a weekend trip that he won, right? We’ve had more than one rookie lose their mind, I bet it wasn’t because they “met” Joel Embiid.
Ok this rules.
This seems like a good pick for the second round. He has the length and athleticism to immediately give us some minutes as a backup rim protector in the short term, and to borrow a phrase from Howie Roseman he has the tools in his body to potentially do more than that down the line if he can improve his skill level.
I’d still like to see them add an experienced backup big in free agency/a trade, but there is probably a role for Bona on this team even as a rookie.
