The Knicks have searched for ways to add extra salary to complete the Mikal Bridges trade and previously discussed potentially adding Miles McBride to the deal, per @FredKatz

The trade hasn't been finalized and I wonder if he was supposed to be apart of the initial framework. It was announced today he had a procedure done on his toe, maybe Sean Marks didn't want to deal with another injured player?

I doubt McBride would be an issue. It’s moreso, the nets don’t want to help the Knicks keep ihart lol

  2. Deuce would be a good asset for trades or the rebuild. His shooting improved last season. I don’t think he’ll win us games and hurt the tank, but a good young player to add.

  3. Fartknocker-

McBride would be a big time get. Defense in the backcourt with Cam Thomas doing the scoring. Would love that pairing

  4. Sean looked at Pacome Dadiet, the Knicks drafted him, maybe they drafted him for the Nets? Because McBride is worth more to the Knicks than Pacome Dadie.

  5. That’s pretty big. Knicks fans would hate this.

If it doesn’t cost us anything then why the hell wouldn’t we?

They’d clearly want something of value in return. It’s entirely possible the Knicks offered him instead of one of the picks or something along those lines and the Nets preferred the draft capital. The full article says the Knicks considered sending McBride to a third team team for a first round pick so it’s logical to think the Nets preferred all the picks instead of swapping one for him.

That’s odd. Wouldn’t the salary matching have been settled already?
