Tony don’t wanna pay that man, neither do I.

Don’t really see the fit with Zacc here now

A dejounte and capela deal for Ingram makes sense. But no one wants to pay that man a max contract so I get why ATL isn’t too thrilled on trading for him.

Dejounte might be a Pelican and we don’t even get B.I back lol

Edit: to explain it says Hawks and Pelicans been talking about DJ trade but B.I doesn’t seem to be involved in that conversation

Brandon Ingram is overrated and trading for him would be a mistake

Have the Hawks been doing *anything* since the season ended?

  7. So no talks but Atlanta is “popular landing spot?” I don’t think he helps much anyway.

I’m still on board with a Zacc at the two experiment. He’s not a stiff, he may not be a lockdown defender at the 2 but between him, Ingram, and JJ, that’s a lot of mobility and length 2-4. It now becomes a question of want to. In the playoffs we’ve seen average joes or even terrible defenders turn it up. It’s about time we start playing every game defensively like it was game 7. We just haven’t cared on that end for many years.

We need to ask ourselves were a self created scoring will come from outside of Trae. JJ likely isn’t ready for that kind of role in the half court. Zacc sure isn’t. OO, or whoever we get at center, likely won’t be a scorer either.

It’s not a hand and glove fit, but Trae and Zacc will get up a high volume of 3s, and Ingram has had seasons where he took them at a moderate clip, and that was his only season with Lonzo, a quick witted, strong passer like Trae. JJ is surely working on his game and will probably take 5 a game next season if I had to guess.

My only reserve with Ingram is the contract and his health. I actually really like the basketball fit. His playstyle is similar to Dejounte except he’s 6’8. Dejounte’s offense wasn’t perfect, similar to Ingram, but Dejounte’s real problem was that there were portions of his tenure here where Trae comfortably defended better than he did.

According to Pels fans, Ingram was very solid in that department and has been getting better over the years in general. Versatile, long players is what always should’ve been the blueprint in a lineup with Trae. Between Riscaher/Ingram/JJ, none are lockdown defenders, but their length and mobility could create a terrifying team defense, especially if we get a rim protector like Kessler

Get this man back in LA. If not, Atlanta works.

  10. Imo I’d rather have a deal centered around Dyson Daniels and picks

Doesn’t make any sense. Zac has never played guard, offensively he doesn’t have the ball skills and defensively you can’t bet on a 6’9 guy who isn’t a mega freak athlete to consistently D up guards and not get injured. Maaaaybe he can be a guard full time, but probably not. We have too much invested now at F to bring in BI in and hope our number 1 overall pick who has never played guard and is a prototypical 3 and D F will be able to play G full time.
