Of course Hauser was a two way that we extended, and we’ve since made lots of other deals like getting Walsh’s draft rights, but I feel like Watson and Sheierman have more potential.

Nobody ever has a clue. I always get annoyed by the people on ESPN or whatever that give grades to picks. We’re all just guessing here and we’re probably going to be wrong.
Does Jordan Walsh not count because we traded after the pick?
I’m absolutely thrilled with how well these guys profile as roster fits, more than I’m looking at them on an individual basis right now. Walsh still is the highest ranked player for me pictured/discussed from the last time I really put together/updated a draft board (usually keep a yearly/class board and an ongoing prospect radar board across classes) but these guys also look like they have a great chance to slot in easily
Hauser is on the Celtics because he wanted to, the Heat were after him and had a better offer after he went undrafted. Hauser offered himself to play for the Celtics and got signed.
Too much is attention is paid to the draft. If you get the right players on a team any team can win. The problem is with front offices that only care about how individual players look on paper. All the importance put on youth with potential. Fitting a team matters.

Probably true. Davison doesn’t have it and Walsh hasn’t had a chance yet. Scheierman and Watson will be in the rotation for Game 1 most likely.
Begarin is still a 25 pct 3p shooter and is years away from any potential NBA contract.
Who knows? People tend to get hyped every year with the incoming rookie class and summer league performances. Truth is it takes a few years to really know whether any particular draft pick was good, especially outside the top 5 or so.
Walsh is the best pick so far, still. I really don’t have very high expectations from either of the guys they took this week. They’re high floor guys, but I think we have a bit of leeway to take at least one high upside guy if we have two picks in the draft for the next few years.
But I will say that we do have quite a few young guys on the deep bench that have been progressing pretty well. Springer came in late, but is a really nice defensive combo guard and is still just 21. Davison is 21, Walsh is 19, Queta is 24 and looks like he could probably contribute, especially if he develops an outside shot.
