A lot of comments say no one wants to help the dynasty. I disagree.
The league and advertising want the Warriors to make deep playoff runs. The drop in viewership for the playoffs has been dramatic without Curry or LeBron. Silver will lean on Balmer to accept a deal that is not ridiculous. Wiggins age makes the move palatable, assuming PG gets his 4 year max (which he is not worth).
To add Kuminga for a player that can simply leave LA with nothing would be such a massive overpay and gut our bench, t’boot.

Clippers fan here, No Kuminga no deal. I do think the Clippers is very well prepared on PG leaving since they will prob sign and trade the guy to a guy like Derozan for example, Warriors cannot get PG now if he opts out so goodluck also. PG’s best choice for him is to opt in and trade to a west coast team which is close to home.
Do not get rid of Kuminga.

It’s between gambling: the chances of Kuminga becoming a future star vs. the chances of PG3 being the x-factor in them becoming again as a serious contender.
I’m gonna bet leaning on the former. But contender or not, PG3 will definitely jump start more excitement for the fanbase and media, even if he becomes a terrible fit for their offense.
Rationally, I don’t see them getting PG3 without giving up Kuminga. Even aside from that, I really don’t see PG3 wanting to come to the bay over Philly.

I dont think we’re gonna trade Kuminga. We’re not gonna make any big moves because no one wants “When He Feels Like It” Wiggins and dusty ass CP3 who could barely bring the ball up the court. Why are we pretending like CP3 is some big trade chip, i don’t understand.
I 100% agree that putting Kuminga in the pot for Paul George is a bad move for the Warriors. But I also think it’s hilarious how much Warriors fans are overvaluing Kuminga.
Kuminga gets dunk highlights, he’s an above average man-to-man defender, and he’s half decent at rebounder when he wants to be. Conversely he has glaring weaknesses in his game that his strengths can’t make up for: he can’t create his own shot, can’t shoot the 3, he’s a mediocre team defender, barely understands how to play ‘smart’ team basketball. His game is based entirely on his athleticism, but he’s rarely the strongest or the fastest on the court, so athleticism can only take him so far. Unless he makes a significant jump next year Kuminga is never going to be anything more than a talented role player. He’s not untouchable.
