see our guy Whispers is not here where is Whispers know Whispers is in Maryland and he he uh he’s having some uh crab cakes okay uh out on the beach he’s drinking some uh modella well he always drinking somewhere he’s drinking somewhere it’s always happy hour whenever Tim somewhere doesn’t matter what time it is he said but he’s probably red and uh looking like Larry Lobster so he’ll be here tomorrow though but unfortunately we won’t be doing the podcast tomorrow we’re we’re going to do some things for the hot sauce tomorrow we’re having a big uh Shark Tank uh thing big we got make a presentation we got to make a presentation with the hot sauce with Marianos tomorrow oh nice yeah so we’re doing a we’re doing a little bit of U shark tank with them tomorrow so I’m looking forward to rest well there’s been a lot going on for the Chicago Bulls over the last week or so let’s start let’s do it chronologic ically last week the big trade Alex Caruso for Josh giddy what did you think about that oh man I I like giddy I like giddy the fact that he’s young 21 years old he fell out of favor with Oklahoma City last year in the playoffs they end up trying to bench him um but he’s talented kid 6′ 667 um can handle the ball can play multiple positions give you some versatility can be a point guard point forward uh you know what does that mean for Kobe you know Kobe white what does mean for the guards the Bulls have uh the good thing about Josh is you can play him at the three and let put the ball in his hands and let him create what does that mean about Lonzo you know but as far as the trade I like the trade I just wish the Bulls could have got another pick that’s what everybody’s upset I I wish I wish they would have gotten last night’s 12th pick because uh I think Oklahoma City was right behind the Bulls and we talked about it Mark the week before how guys slip and and they fall in the draft no one saw these two kids you know connect slipping as far as he did and then you know our pick you know uh he was a top five they were talking about number anywhere between one and five uh so yeah they could have gotten balis and canect yes and and two need two needs and and two kids that can help you right away as young as they are um if they would have got that 12 pick because I was sitting there watching the draft I go if we could have only swung that 12 pick because you never know what’s going to happen on the 12th pick when you’re getting that pick but the way it worked out last night when when you watch the draft you saw guys slipping a lot of guys slipped who were they talked about being in the first you know 10 12 picks are in the second round tonight you know so uh well that would have been nice though that would have been a really nice haul for the Bulls if they could have got that if they could have got an extra pick from Oklahoma City we don’t know what goes on behind the closed doors and what you know because you know we had heard the rumors that someone offered the Bulls a top 10 pick in the draft for Caruso we’ve heard teams willing to give up first round picks for him um you don’t know what the return was from that so we’re not in the room with Urus and Mark and JJ pul we just go by what we’re reading and so with Oklahoma City having like 30 plus picks they probably would have given it one up I was just when I’m like they got 30 something picks how how did not we not like just poach one away from them even if it was even it was a 302 worth uh unprotected year 30 yeah but the other thing that goes into this people have to realize is that right now Josh kidy is eligible for a rookie extension contract and that’s not going to come chief he was the sixth pick in the draft he’s got really good numbers over his first three years in the league you know right now the Bulls have Patrick Williams is a restricted free agent well it’s a situation where if you don’t sign Josh giddy before opening day of this upcoming season then he becomes a restricted free agent he’s going to cost you at least $20 million a year so because of the financial component Oklahoma City should have damn well thrown a Draft pick on because you’re having to pay a lot more for your guy exactly and the thing about it is is that when you start looking at under restricted restricted it still favors the Bulls because you you say you say same thing with Patrick Williams you know Patrick Williams will have to go out there and and get an offer from someone and hope that the Bulls either don’t match it if it’s a offer that he wants uh if it’s an offer the Bulls can match they’re going to match it they’re not going to let this player get away for nothing it’s going to be the same thing with giddy he has a chance to prove by being a restrictive fre agent this year and they not get a deal done early he has a chance to prove what kind of player he could be for the Bulls because they’re going to give him every opportunity to succeed here he’s going to get opportunities that you know uh in Oklahoma City you’re playing behind Shay gild Alexander you know Williams came along and started coming along then you got you know Chad was playing well so he became almost the third or fourth option in Oklahoma City and they like the kid they drafted out of Kentucky K Wallace be their starting point guard so so now now you come now you comes to Chicago breath of fresh air new opportunity for him where he’s needed now the big question is where how much do you know how much is he going to play Under Billy you know Billy’s been tough on the younger players you know in the last few years younger players have a hard time cracking lineups you know where is he gonna play is Billy gonna play him and trust him because if you don’t have Demar you don’t have Zach you don’t have those veterans and it’s not an issue but if one of those guys come back and then zo comes back now you say oh and then you got Kobe who’s established himself and then you got io’s establish it could be another log Jam and on the positive side you know a lot of people are are saying well Josh giddy got benched in the playoffs and he can’t shoot and you know he’s not a good three-point shooter that is a fact but you know Stacy I got a chance to call a couple games at Oklahoma City filling in for Adam and this guy in the open court when you watch him court level he is a creative passer you know he he he reminds you of a guy that that that can make those great passes in the open court kind of like Lonzo ball terms exactly you know he gets that rebound pushes it up court and he can easy a good comparison he’s exactly like uh so uh big big guard can get rebounds he’ll give you an extra rebounder like six seven point guard can go there and grab rebounds he’s great in the open court and when he’s pushing the ball he’s got great vision you’ve seen some of the passes that he makes you know sometimes these guys are not ready for the passes that he makes you got to play with him at least a year before you get used to him um you got to have your head on the swivel when he has the ball um as far as not shooting there’s a lot of guys in this league that can’t shoot you can get better as a shooter okay you’re not going to be a terrible shooter your whole career if guys spend time in the gym and uh this what Player Development is so important to teams and the Bulls probably recognize this hey we know he’s not a great shooter but he’s 21 years old and he can become a great shooter but the things that he can do already the intangibles pushing the ball in transition playing with Pace the size at that at the point guard position the versatility to play two or three if you want to come in Imagine let’s just say a perfect scenario lonzo’s healthy okay you got Lonzo at 6’6 you got Kobe 65 as a two guard and then you throw Josh giddy as your small forward at 6′ s 6’8 all three can handle the ball all three can attack from different angles and you’re big across the board where the Bulls were small last year and this gets Kobe off the ball something you said repeatedly he’s better suited to be a two guard catch and shoot and I and I think the Bulls recognize that it’s not not not a knock on Kobe because Kobe has worked extremely hard should have been the most improved player last year I think everybody is is on board with that got robbed but he has improved his ball handling to to the point where he can be an off ball guard he can bring the ball up the floor he can initiate the break do some things that you know that can still keep the ball in his hands but I love him when he’s coming off screens I love him when he when you put him in the pick and roll from the wing and he’s attacking from the wing and getting downhill off the bounds those are the things like the things that Zack LaVine does Kobe can do without the athleticism you look at Josh giddy’s numbers for the people who still don’t like the trade look at he did two seasons ago he averaged 16 and a half points eight rebounds almost seven assists as a 20-year-old I mean this guy you know has done a lot of things in the league you look at some of his accomplishments he’s in rare company in terms of young guys putting up those kinds of numbers well listen nobody want to see Alex go just be honest okay I think as Bulls fans they’re frustrated because they believe you know we’re all Alex is one of the best players he’s one of the guys that you love to watch play he committed on defense he he played hard every single night but you got to remember he’s over over 30 now and injury bug has caught him the last couple of years um you know every time you know last season you know he was almost a game time decision almost every single game last year due to injuries he had a foot injury back injury knee injury he came to the games not 100% every game but he showed up and played every single game hurt and it he didn’t keep him out of the lineups but he’s at a point mark where you say we got a 21y old here and then we got a guy that’s 30 that we’re going to have to pay 80 70 80 million and we got a kids 21 who’s still under rookie contract we’re trying to get down the Bulls are trying to get down but also not only trying to get down on the cost and the and the you know and everything but get younger and not have to tear their team up completely and go do that yeah it was interesting after the draft uh on Wednesday where AK met the media and he made it pretty clear that they are going into a rebuilding program didn’t want to call it that but he you know did not want to commit to resigning demard de ro didn’t want to commit to really anybody being back he said everything’s on the table right now we’ve already started our changes he said I promised at the end of the season we’re going to make change and we’ve started doing that with the draft on Wednesday they were surprised that Mattis buellis dropped he was projected to go f fifth or six he falls to 11 I mean this is a guy who’s 610 incredible bounce yes he’s got to get stronger he’s got to get in the weight room but he’s 19 and I think eventually this guy’s going to be a real impact player in the league listen I I I saw him play on that ignite team and I watched him play and I was like oh my God this kid has got bounc like he’s flying all over the place kind of like Andre kolinko like the long athletic can defend can run the floor rebound the basketball he he also reminds you I saw a video today and I was telling the guys earlier I saw a video of him uh playing you know practicing one-on-one against Cooper flag and Cooper flag may be an inch taller than him and he’s projected as the number one pick next year’s draft everybody’s you know playing to get him right buellis was right they were going each other hard and you couldn’t tell them AP part you had to look a couple times like which one was that who was he you know cuz they both look very similar similar builds uh similar skill set both athletic can jump out the gym uh I’m telling you man this is a good good plus the kids from here he’s from Chicago and this is some there’s something about being a kid from Chicago being able to play for a team that you probably grew up rooting for uh I think he’ll come out and he’ll play hard and I think you know listen I I want to see you know if we’re going to go young I don’t mind going young if we’re getting these type of players uh you know you’re you got to make a decision with Zach and Demar uh vuvi too you you got to make a decision with those guys if you want to go young go young Go full board because everybody in our division is getting young except for Milwaukee okay Indiana’s got a young team they got a young core they got a couple All-Star players but their core is Young you know Detroit still young you know look at Orlando you know outside of a division Orlando is the next team the Oklahoma City of the East I think they’re going to be the Oklahoma City team of the East next year they’re right there Cleveland is Young Cleveland’s still young so there’s a lot of teams that are are starting to say hey look you know what we’re gonna take our lumps you know next year is not a bad year to play for the lottery I mean hey you get that top that top five pick yeah we I don’t think we owe it to anybody well the Bulls pick for next year will go to San Antonio if it’s not in the top 10 if it’s protected it’s ours if it’s if it in the top 10 the Bulls keeper okay well we need to follow kind di baby kind of where we’re looking at hey I’m telling you right now cuz next year is where you want to be if we can show our list of the of the top 10 picks for next uh next season these are the guys that everybody’s after Mark these are the guys they’re talking about going to be flag at you know we got Ron Harper sons in there uh there’s there’s an opportunity there’s Cooper flag this is the kid uh is at Duke this year so you get a chance to watch him play Duke’s got a couple kids is that are going to be in the top 10 but this is the guy everybody’s talking about Ace Bailey is another one from Ruckers both him and Ron Harper’s son are playing on Ruckers they’re their two guys are gonna be in the top 10 and that’s uh Nolan trer right there he’s from France FR I’m G tell you France has got some studs that Olympic I’m tell you their Olympic team is going to be they may not win it’s in Paris but I’m telling you they may not win but they are stacked for the future as many athletes they’re bringing up they’re going to get some calls in the Olympics playing in Paris there’s Dylan Harper the Great Harper’s son to play for the Bulls uh his son is there and then this kid right here malok this kid is I watched him I watched him on a video the other day yeah he’s a beast yeah so everybody’s excited about this 2025 draft and that’s why a lot of teams are making moves to try to get as many picks as they can Brooklyn might have four picks in next year’s draft with the trade they made trading M Bridges to the Knicks and Tom thibo they got five first round picks back uh listen the Knicks the Knicks listen it’s all it’s Villanova now it’s Villanova the vova niick the only thing they’re missing is Jay Wright if they can figure a way to get J I’m telling you right now no I don’t think AR is I think AR is done man they but look at this the Knicks are listen they didn’t give up they didn’t have to give up Julius Randall you know who’s coming he still might get traded though he still may get traded but unless I mean they give up they gave up a lot of picks to get Mel Bridges now the problem with this team here that I see is Mel Bridges now has tasted what being the main guy is okay now he’s not now he’s not now you’re back to where you were when you were at Villanova when you had Josh Hart and all these oh Lord somebody’s trying to call me oh Lord Oh Lord turn it off urgent America King The King America oh Lord they trying to get me baby I’m sorry America there’s emergency call right there um but but so he’s used to being the number one guy now he’s had a chance to be the number one guy in Brooklyn and now you’re on there with Jaylen Brunson who’s clearly the number one guy in New York uh you know the div chinzo there’s so many different yeah pieces there they’ve got almost too much talent and then you you you might lose hardenstein because they’re not gonna be able to pay him now you just signed OG you just gave OG his money 212 million prob won’t be able to keep him and that’s somebody that’s gonna be out there in the open market baby we might need to go after him we got no cap space though damn it we got to make some Spacey we got to get rid of some people well you know if they trade Zack LaVine to a team that’s SC cap space might be able to create some room that’s I think what they’re looking at and you know what that’s really crazy is the fact that there is no market for Zack LaVine I I just don’t understand that like how is there not a market for a guy that can get you 25 or more a night uh all former All-Star player I I just don’t understand that how there’s no market for him well it’s two things it’s the contract and it’s the injury history but you know what though mark look how many other people have contracts like that yeah and he’s and he’s in my opinion he’s better than some of those guys it’s always like people are like just trying to pick at things that Zach can’t do or or or is not good at and they’re saying he got overpaid he didn’t get overpaid for the time when that contract came out he was that’s exactly where he needed to be now the injury I think is a big part of it so if you’re the Bulls you know you don’t want to just give him away you don’t want to just say okay take Zach and we’ll take back whatever you want to give us because right now what we’re what they’re doing is they’re doing they’re setting up pretty nicely with the returns they’re getting back for these guys you know giddy was a start started with giddy that’s a very good return back um I wish they would have had a first- round pick but you know hey I don’t know what the discussions were inside but I would Lov to see that and then the draft pick we got last night and I’m sure they’re going to probably there’s going to be some free agents that slip through this draft that the Bulls that liked that were probably high on their draft board uh that they’re gonna be able to bring in as free agents speaking of the draft did you hear that the [ __ ] that went on during the second round uh Bob Meyers the former BR GM gold State Warriors is now a broadcaster with the BN and he he dumped the the news from what happened with bronny James that apparently the the agent told every other team in the NBA Paul Rich Paul that if you if you draft bronnie James in the second round he ain’t playing for you he’s going to go play in Australia so that he the Lakers he’d be there for the Lakers at 55 wow so basically he ran off every team in the league because some team would have taken him Dallas was talking about taking him but he said don’t don’t bother drafting him because he’s going offr if you draft them I mean that’s a bunch of [ __ ] well then that’s what the NBA needs to come in and and say you know put a put a restriction on that you know you get drafted by the team that drafts you and you either play for them or you don’t but your rights are going to stay there if you want to come back to the NBA it’s up to them to do whatever they want with your rights if they want to keep your rights they’ll keep your rights there’s no way you can run off and high for five years and come back and say I want to play in the NBA you put up some numbers in let’s say France you want to come back and play in the NBA Dallas or whoever drafts you should still have your rights and the Lakers lucked into one of the most experienced guys in the draft in Dalton connect uh arguably the best shooter in this draft they got him at 17 people were scared off by his age I think he’s going to turn 24 before it started next year they need to stop that if the guy was 40 I can see your point okay he’s 23 24 years old and he’s the best shooter in the draft why are you worrying about if he’s too old or not I would rather have a kid if I’m a general manager listen I would rather have a kid that’s established a 23 24 year old that’s established has played in some big games showed you that he can he can have that workload uh a proven score a proven shooter you know how hard it is to get great Shooters and you’re worried about if the kid’s 24 you know he’s 24 years old come on man they need to stop that they need to stop that you know Tim Duncan played you know stayed four years and he’s a Hall of Fame player there’s been plenty of guys in this league that went to school three or four years and came out as 23 24 year olds and you didn’t hold against them and most of those guys are Hall of Famers you think his dad and Rich Paul will let him play any g-league games or are they going to just say no no Lakers yeah oh bronnie James is starting bron James bronnie James is starting right now America you heard it to me he may not he may not start right away but before it’s all said done D’Angelo Russell you go sit down Angel D’Angelo Russell uh AK what the name Vincent all them dudes Aus re Austin Reeves move Austin Reeves to the small forward bronnie James before it’s all over he gonna be on the floor with his daddy and they gonna be playing together now America nepotism I know y’all want to yell at word okay but let’s be real if you had a chance to bring your son or your daughter to come to your company or come play a sport with you you know damn well you would well yeah there’s no question if you can help your kid you’re going to do it yeah you’re going to do it so you can’t we can’t we can’t just beat up LeBron James he’s only doing what he’s able to do I I just didn’t like the agent going out and I don’t like that either I don’t like that either and and the other thing I didn’t like is is not only the agent but you know I just didn’t liked how how they just positioned that this is how it was going to work out you know you went to you you put the pressure on the the Lakers by LeBron not signing the contract and then going out flirting around with Phoenix he’s showing up at certain people’s games you know okay so he he basically held the gun to Lakers head and be like okay I’m not going to sign a contract unless you g guarantee me that you’re going to drab bronnie yeah and I didn’t like that you know but I feel bad for bronnie James the pressure that kid has on him what he’s going to hear what he’s going to face when he’s the visiting team and what people are going to say to him and talk radio and all the things he he he’s probably built probably got a tough skin you know growing up LeBron’s son but that’s some pressure you don’t want to see a kid who’s 19 years old have to face this kid just wants to play basketball had he stayed in school Mark say three years four years I believe the kid is a is a first round pick I believe he’s an NBA player I believe he’s an NBA player now but it’s just not ready how about Bob Myers dropping a dime on him though I mean that beat us don’t see that on network TV he beat Shams and he beat Wes Hunter he might be trying to get in that role now the Bob Myers role because you know he’s a GM he got he got connections even more than those guys do for him to drop that bomb on TV Bob I know what you’re doing you said the hell with Shams and woes the woes bomb it’s a bob B he was tired of listening to Stephen A Smith talk for three hours last night so get his list they’ve added they added Tim legler finally yeah I’m glad to see that because Tim legler is a good very good analyst he knows the game I’m glad to see that they’ve added him in the role now uh you know they lose JJ reick who did you see JJ reick at his press conference basically he said he goes they said uh you know how when did you and LeBron talk about this job or whatever so he goes he goes he goes well we we really didn’t talk about the job until last uh till Thursday and somebody went a in the background a I was like and I had to play like three times like did somebody like add that like hell no it was hilarious dude but he Li he he he flat out L dude he flat out loud hey we’re going to talk a lot more about what the Bulls have planned for of a legend in division three ranks so Bill napton second father to me and we’re lucky to still have him on this Earth so what’s the scouting report on Casey Johnson all Stacy would love it all de all all threes no D you you’d fit into this league right now hey let’s talk about the Bulls off season we’ve been following your coverage on nbcsports chicago.com and and all stuff you’ve been doing for the shows and you know I I thought it really interesting that there was a shift in philosophy we heard it at the end of the year where AK said there’s going to be changes this group didn’t work but then he kind of doubled down on it last night after the draft where where he wouldn’t commit to bringing back to Mar roosen wouldn’t commit really to anything saying that everything’s on the table I I think if you read between the lines it’s going to be a very eventful summer don’t you think oh 100% and I we’re just talking off a I know Stacy will agree with this we’ll get into it but like to me even before he spoke last night he already started signaling it with the Caruso for giddy trade right and then you follow that up with adding a 19-year-old when some plug-and-play players on the board that might project a fit and help you more next year and Devin Carter adult and connect are still on the board and you go with a 19-year-old kid with upside okay so there’s uh actions and then the words came and by far to me by far the biggest headline of last night was the complete compl non-committal to resigning dear because that is a massive sea change from where this organization has been for years and even as back to Mid April when he said this group hasn’t worked and we need to make changes he still said absolutely we want to resign tomorrow then you add that all add onto that all the reporting including some from myself I I I at this point I’ll be shocked if the mar Rosen is back and that’s that’s a big change from where we were just a couple months ago you know you you you you see how important that Alex bruso was to this team the last few years and you know Casey you’re looking you hear all these reports because you don’t know what’s true and what’s you what’s not true but you hear these reports that teams offered first round picks for him last year at the trade deadline everybody wanted him they go out and they make the move with giddy which I like because he a young kid guy can play multiple positions uh talented kid why is it that they weren’t able to finagle a first round pick out of Oklahoma City who has like 35 under you know in a vault somewhere that the Bulls were not able to to finagle a first round pick for Alex as well as getting giddy yeah I mean obviously I think ideally there’d be two things the trade you’d like to make it better one would be getting some draft capital and the other would be getting a player that you have a little bit more cost control on in the sense that giddy’s contract clock has already started you don’t necessarily have to extend them before the season but if you don’t you’re playing the restricted free agency game immediately with a you know at that time he’ll be a 22y old Prospect so those are two quibbles I’ll just say this like I know that has drawn a lot of attention and the Bulls have taken a lot of heat from this in in this situation what I like to do is I like to talk to other teams and you know I I I talk to probably five teams and one or one or two of those teams were kind of on that same mindset but I had three Executives from other teams say to me giddy is nine years younger and um started 80 games for the number one seed in the west like what are people like up at about this for this is a fair trade and that’s how Urus um you know termed it last night too a fair trade and look Caruso is we’ve seen it for three years he’s as good of a defend defensive players are in this league he’ll give you everything he has he needs to be on a winner and he wasn’t going to be on a winner here so you have to sometimes sacrifice that to kind of change direction and get a dynamic young player of potential like giddy so I’m a little bit less up in arms about that I mean ideally it’ be great if they got another pick because of how much the Thunder draft Capital Thunder had but to me you know the player itself is is a nice addition it fits with what the Bulls are going to try to do next season well looking where the roster stands right now you have to assume that Josh gidd is your starting point guard and Kobe white slides over to the two we don’t know what’s going to happen with demard d rozan but the guy that uh is is left in the corner there is Zack LaVine and obviously you don’t want to trade him for pennies on the dollar but he really doesn’t fit with with this group I know that you’ve written about the fact that you know he’s a career 38% three-point shooter maybe he’d fit with giddy but there’s a there’s a lot of water that’s gone over the side of that boat I don’t know how you can bail all that water and bring him back is it is it a question of trying to rehabilitate his trade value you think that they can come to a meeting of the mindes and then bring him to training camp well I’ll just say this I mean trading him Remains the main offseason priority so let’s start with that premise okay but the what what caught a little bit of fire this week was when I said on on one of our podcasts at NBC Sports Chicago is is um you know there is a scenario in which he’s back and that really that scenario is just that you can’t find a trademark for which is well documented that it’s gonna be hard to do that I mean the dude’s got three years $1 138 million left in that deal he’s coming off of his third surgery he is healthy now um but um you know that’s that’s a tough contracted trade so that’s the scenario in which he’s back I will also emphasize this I’ve been saying this for the jump you guys I know agree with this it’s a relationship that has felt like it’s headed for a divorce for a long time it needs to end for both sides really and that’s not saying anybody’s at fault here it’s just a relationship that’s run its course so I will be surprised um the Bulls are very motivated to find him in new home so ideally that’s what you want if it doesn’t if if if you can’t find a taker I mean on paper he does fit with Giddy and how they want to play but yes serious relationship Rehabilitation would need to take place for that to occur speaking of Andre Drummond who’s one of my favorite players what is what is his situation going he’s is he he’s unrestricted Frasier right y so he can go anywhere the highest bidder what did the chance of the Bulls looking to bring him back I saw something the other day where they would love to have him back but you know you just don’t know yeah I just don’t think he fits with where they’re trying to go I mean they’re not going to come go come out last night and publicly say we’re rebuilding I mean that’s just not the way our tourist is going to do business either publicly or really privately and he pushed kicked the can on the road by saying let’s see how we look after free agency I get the sense that they will try to add you know some respectable uh value signings to kind of help around the edges but it really does look like this is headed for a youth movement Stacy and I think it’s the right thing to do now the problem is you’re obviously doing that even though our turist downplay a question about this with the goal of maybe trying to keep that top 10 protected pick in the 2025 draft the issue is there are so many teams in the East that are really not very good next year and the east in general is not a very good conference so it’s going to be hard still even if you do all the right things to keep that pick but I think it’s the right philosophy to at least try it and I think that leads into what you were saying before play this kid the 19y old yeah have giddy run up and down the court Kobe and iio throw him out there see what you C Patrick Williams if he’s back play him so I really think a youth movement is the way to go we we’ve known for a while the previous iteration of this roster had a ceiling it’s the ceiling’s tapped out let’s let’s try something different at this point we were talking about D rozan earlier and he could be an option for teams that don’t get their top Target in free agency Philadelphia 76ers have a ton of cap space but reportedly they’re most interested in trying to get Paul George to kind of go with maxi and embiid giving him you know a guard forward Center uh trium to go at the Celtics the Clippers could be a team if they lose George looking to add some more scoring punch and of course dear has shown some interest in maybe want to go back to play in his hometown Los Angeles you think there could be something there with the Clippers if George decides to bolt I think that’s really the most likely destination if if George Goes elsewhere is you know having dear’s represent try to find some kind of signing trade situation to get him home I I that is somewhere where my radar is going be pretty focused now if George opts in and you know delays his free agency for a year you know you mentioned a team like Philadelphia and I know everyone’s saying oh they’re out on LaVine you guys know how free ageny works it’s a game of musical chairs what you’re saying now it’s a fluid process it might change in a week or two and you might get desperate and say you know what that Zack Laine guy doesn’t look as bad maybe we should trade him into our cap space or maybe they go after demard de rzan so um you know it’s a fluid game um I don’t know how many of those guys are gonna be back in the Bulls but I would probably the safe bet is at least one of Vu and dear I’m sorry Zach and and dear are gone if not both um so this is going to be as Stacy said a very different looking team next season now when you when you look at this team you’re going to have a totally different team and the expectations are you know this is going to be a youth movement so what is that what is Billy’s role now because you know uh you see these coaches you see Monty Williams get fired with 65 Million Dollar on this contract and you know organization is not afraid to pull the you know plug on something how does this affect Billy Donovan with this youth movement now he’s going from a veteran Laden team a playoff caliber team three All-Star caliber players to possibly having a completely different roster of a bunch of young kids like he had in Oklahoma City before he brought Chris Paul over yeah and which allegedly was one of the reasons why he didn’t you know that partnership with s pry ended it was he didn’t want to be part of a a rebuild in a youth movement now Billy has downplayed that a little bit and I do think that that relationship in Oklahoma City just kind of naturally run its course the crazy part as a quick aside is that Oklahoma City went into a rebuild and they got out of that pretty quickly guys yeah they did and and and they’re loaded for the future so um the Bulls might just be entering one what I would stress about Billy is this he’s got a great situation here I mean he’s got uh a partnership with our tourists that is very very solid very very respectful he has told us on the record how close he’s become with Jerry reinsdorf I mean Jerry’s not involved at all with the team anymore but he still has relationships and you know Billy and Jerry talk pretty frequently so ownership values Billy Donovan very highly as well so when you’ve got ownership and management oh and by the way his son now coaches the G league right right and look Billy Donovan III I downplayed the nepotism angle I mean he’s toiled in the film room for the Bulls for years and he also has had coaching or coaching experience in the G League before with a different franchise that his father was not involved with so I’m just saying that Billy’s got a good situation here Billy senior and um I think we’re regardless of how the roster plays out what direction they take he’s getting paid a nice um he’ll be professional and obviously coach his team with a new staff to the best of his ability he’s got quite a few new faces on his staff as well you mentioned Jerry reinsdorf and it’s well documented that both Jerry and Michael have said that they don’t want to pay the luxury tax for a team that’s not going to be in contention but the reality is Patrick Williams could be in the market for a contract approaching $20 million a season as a restricted free agent only takes one team to make a crazy offer to resign Josh giddy that’s probably going to cost you $20 million a year minimum they’re in a situation where unless they can unload Zach and dump most of his salary they’re going to be paying the luxury tax next season with a team that’s that’s kind of rebuilding how how do they balance those facts well I mean if one or Zach I haven’t looked at the numbers recently but if one or Zack or dear are gone I think they might be okay and again I’d have to look at that um Matas is doe 5.2 million so I I don’t know yeah it’s going to be close I just know look you’ve got V coming up in two years so you got some salary relief coming there you got Lonzo coming off the books next summer so you’ve got some salary relief there um this again though is why I’m pretty adamant that one of dear or Zach if not both will not be on this roster come training camp because that will help with the scenario you pay again I don’t have the numbers directly in front of me um I do get the sense that Patrick Williams will be back but um we’ll see how his restricted free agency plays out and and yeah I mean this is the problem with kind of where this team has gone is you’re you’ve gotten an aging expensive roster with no playoff experience to to show for it I mean the last time the Bulls undertook a full rebuild their draft Capital was clean this is when they traded Jimmy Butler the draft Capital was clean they were under the luxury tax and you know they started fresh and were their books were good so this all along you could see this trending towards a messy exit from this core it’s just the longer you wait to me there’s more pain so you just got to rip the bandaid off and try something it looks like they’re going to try to do that this offseason see I agree with you 100% on that because this team is I think has really gone as far as it’s going to go and you know I’ve seen the videos of Lonzo he looks great he’s jumping dunking but you don’t know how many minutes he’s going to play next year you don’t know what his minutes restriction going to be for the whole season um and until he gets out there and have to guard people and get over screens and so you don’t really know how his body’s going to hold up um but I’ve always said with this team is like you know this organization is better than a playin with those kind of players you know you have three former Allstar guys on your roster I felt they should have been much better than what they they showed uh the last couple of Seasons um they should have been right in the playoff they should have been in position to be in the playoffs not playing for a playin spot um and so now I feel like you know it’s time to it’s time to scrap it because I think the longer you wait KC the Bulls wait the longer they wait these other teams get further and further out in front of them you know Milwaukee still has Championship aspirations okay so they’re still going to be they’re still going to be a little older but you look at the Indiana Pacers you know you look at Detroit you look at Orlando you look at some of these younger teams that have now taken that step Cleveland that’s taken that step now to at least be solid playoff teams the further you get behind the longer you wait it’s going to be harder to catch up you can be you could be playing seven eight years trying to catch up with with those teams exactly and and two points to that Stace is like you know everyone’s kind of saying oh the Caruso trade they’re oh they could have got more value in the P okay that’s fine forget about it you you you you you finally pulled the plug and ripped the bandid off and traded Alex Caruso and guess what you got a pretty good Dynamic young player in returns so was it a perfect trade no could have they got more value before yes but guess what if you waited longer you’d get even worse value I’m fine with the cuso trade in the vacuum again you can quibble things like being on the contract right away or not getting draft Capital it’s a fine trade and you just need to keep making moves like that because this exit from this mediocrity is going to be painful it’s going to be painful and they’re probably going to lose a little bit next year but the quicker you get that these changes made then you move forward with the next iteration of your roster and the last thing I’ll say is when you said you feel like this team should have been so much better on the has been I mean you and I have talked about this on the broadcast it’s like it’s so amazing to me espe two years ago when all each of Zack dear and Vu had like spectacular individual season and they had like the 203d ranked offense it’s like crazy man I just don’t it just this this group never meshed once Lonzo went down it’s just crazy how that worked he was the key he he was the key that got got to everybody to where they were supposed to be where they were going to get shots uh once he went out you saw you saw how this team just almost nose dived from where they were they went from being one of the best teams in the league with zo to and I think that’s one of the reasons why like Urus and those guys didn’t want to break the team up because they wanted to see where zo’s where zo is going to be is he gonna come back are they goingon to be able to fix this knee and I think once they realize like whether he’s coming back or not it’s just a bad match I mean we’ve been two years down into the playin game with these caliber players and I I said this if you put these three guys on a on a like a spoler team or Steve C team you know are they playing in a playing game you know are they I mean it’s interesting to see if you put those three and transport them somewhere else I just think that the the chemistry was when zo went out was just terrible after that yeah yeah you’re right man well they’re hoping giddy can be a zo like player you know a guy who can grab a defensive rebound and push the ball up cour I know he doesn’t shoot it like zo or defend like zo but he can get he can get you those transition baskets that they’ve really struggled gonna have the players in zad either yeah but but to your point mark that I totally agree with and and we’ Cena he he’s got that grab and go ability he’s an excellent rebounder for his position got really great CT Vision particularly in transition so look they’re going to probably take a step back next year but there’s gonna be some exciting basketball played and look I know we haven’t even talked about some of the Kobe and iow are pretty established now even though they’re still young and can still get a little bit better but we’ve even talked about guys like Julian Phillips who every time he got thrown out there last year he to me looked like he belonged he never looked by the moment he had some brain lapses where he fou a three-point shooter not to minimize that but that’s that’s your favorite stat I know but uh you know but but he just he he cut without the ball he had a sense about him defensively he would come from a week side and block some shots so there could be some exciting basketball we you know and the the rookie the Modis might add to that as well uh he’s got a lot of potential in athleticism as a 19-year-old so I think will be some losing next year but there might be some exciting basketball but you know what though Casey I think the fan base would be excited about a direction of where we’re going I think that’s been the biggest thing when you hear Bulls fans what what are we doing where are we going what are we doing and I think now they’re starting to they’re starting to be some direction of where this team is going to go with this younger movement and I think when you put these young kids out there these you know fans are going to appreciate how hard they’re gonna play because these kids are gonna they want to play you and we a’t even talk about dalen Terry dalen Terry has been working his ass off this summer I’ve been watching video of him playing practicing with Durant been practicing with Durant and I thought he made strides in the second half of the season last year when he focused mostly on the defensive end and really focused defensively he got some minutes out there playing defensively I think he’s in for a big jump yeah I I’m probably one of the bigger dalen Terry Skeptics left uh and I I do recognize the strides that he made and that he does show these flashes of really having nice Court Vision with his connecting passing ability he’s he’s got obviously a high motor goes after the ball can rebound it um and defensively I couldn’t couldn’t agree with you more so I may be proving wrong and I’m not out on him because I refuse to give up on players this young I just keep coming back to that shot man it’s just like in this day and age it’s to me hard to make a meaningful contribution when your shot has needs that much work and you know the guy is a worker he’s serious about his craft so BR me wrong you know come get in the and and fix that shot but there’s just too many times and you saw it even with the giddy example in the Maverick Series where if you can’t shoot you can be kind of targeted in this league yeah so hopefully dalen fixes that shot and proves me wrong but because there are some there is some potential in other areas but I I do get hung up on his shot a little bit well obviously the clock is ticking on the Bulls free agency starts on Sunday evening I think 5:00 Chicago time the Bulls don’t have any cap space but as we’ve learned over the years that doesn’t mean anything there are so many trades that are made sign and trade deals you know offsetting money where you can get some things done AK was pretty definitive you said a couple of times uh after the draft that you know we’ll know in a week or two where this group stands and then we can talk about a direction kind of putting himself on the clock in terms of getting some things done in the short term I don’t think this is going to drag on till August I think they’re going to try to do some things in the next couple of weeks so if you could look into your Crystal ball what do you think the first thing that happens for the Bulls in terms of trying to reshape this roster more dramatically well dear’s situation uh I it’s hard to say dear situation is going to be the first thing because I do think the Paul George Saga is going to have to unfold before you get a clear Direction on dear but I think it’s it’s really trending towards you know the Bulls you know I’ve reported that negotiations aren’t really happening at all so that to me leads me to believe that they’re either going to let him walk or try to figure out a sign and trade so um that’s where my radar is you know the Zach trade talks are ongoing I do think his Market is dwindling again I thought I think there was a little more optimism to find him a home maybe a week ago than there is now but as I mentioned everything’s fluid um you know he’ll be sensible and probably strike with the mid level or I should say a portion of the mid level and get like a a good locker room veteran guy you know a floor Razer maybe like a you know Tory Craig or Javon Carter type although those two didn’t make nearly the impact we envisioned last summer but um you know I don’t I don’t know for sure any names that they’re targeting yet obviously I’ve been focusing that draft so now my reporting is going to turn towards that but to me the the two biggest offseason stories obviously are LaVine and d rozan and that’s I have a pretty good handle on both those situations and that’s where most of my attention is is focused on right now when you when you look at Zach you will they could they go back and revisit what they were going to do with Detroit uh at the trade deadline or I saw saw Sacramento has offered Harrison Barnes and and uh Kevin herder for for Zach what do you see is a more realistic because I know Sacramento just signed monk to that big contract so I don’t I don’t and they drafted Deon Carter they drafted Deon so I don’t really think that’s in play but you never know you never know well they traded Davon Mitchell today and you know they they are going to be under the luxury tax now so if they were to acquire Zach they probably go back over the tax but they do have a roster spot open too so they you know I think that’s still a team to watch you know I listed four teams uh two have you know publicly been shot down in Philadelphia and Utah the one I agree with definitively is Utah I still maintain Philadelphia you’ve got to keep an eye on I know the Bulls have explored at least pitched possibilities to I I was told upwards of 15 teams now that doesn’t mean there was engagement between those 15 teams but there were like 15 teams that they threw out ideas to Orlando was one I don’t think there was much engagement there I would probably Focus most on Sacramento um but you know that’s been a ongoing rumor with Zack LaVine since he signed an offer sheet there um you know it’s it’s a tough contract to move but uh you know that’s uh that’s kind of I think where my most my attention is in Sacramento yeah talking about Utah they had a sneaky good draft they got Cody Williams Isaiah ker and then today they got Kyle filipowski with the second pick of the second round that filipowski story is weird they were saying on the broadcast that supposedly he’s dating a woman that’s much older than him and that caused a Fallout with his parents so he doesn’t he’s arange from his family and that when he interviewed with teams that kind of spooked him and that’s why he fell into the second round we he a lot of crazy stories around draft day I had heard that one before well I I heard that one today too and then I you got a cougar hey you can’t believe everything on Twitter but allegedly like his brother and Mom were tweeting about it today I I I don’t know man I don’t I don’t want to I don’t want to get involved in that but just on the basketball court side I will say Utah they they their front office is a nice job I mean just uh has been has been in that role for a while Danny a obviously overseas things as well uh dating back to the days of Dennis Lindsay they’ve always I thought drafted well and to get ker that late in the first round lowski in the second round yeah those two guys at one point were projected to be lottery picks so I think that’s definitely a good draft for Utah so if if if let’s say the Bulls were going towards Utah with a trade because I I saw there was some trade uh uh stuff with Utah who would we who who would what would they clks they trying to move but we don’t need other guard yeah see I kind of want to stay away from other guards man I I like the way we’re going now our guards are bigger you know I just kind with tray for Lowry straight up too late man it’s too late you’re not getting lry back man we had our chance we had him in our backyard we left the gate open baby walk right out oh Lord have mercy oh no and we’re never going to see that first round pick from Portland that is gone that’s going to be a second rounder in 2028 hey at least they got one they don’t have a second round pick till 2028 wow wow but but but Casey I I have to admit I I I am excited with the direction somewhat where we’re going um you know of course I’m G to miss course I miss Demar and Zach I really like calling those guys games but in reality at some point you you got to draw a line in the say and saying hey look we we’ve we’ve you know hit the ceiling with these guys this is as far as we’re going to go this is not a chance Championship caliber team and you know you’re paying all this money for these guys and it’s not you know you’re not getting the results back from that so I I like the direction going I I want to see these young kids play I want to see us I want to see us start developing younger players I know you always do your calls spontaneously but you got to start working on some Alle oops from giddy to Phillips and [Applause] G I’m I’m you know what I’m looking forward to it I’m seriously because I I I like to see it’s kind of going back I’m trying to think was what before we had a young team like this and when we had Lou alang and Kirk Hinrich and they were all that was a good draft in those that two or threee span Ben Gordon and Ben Gordon and they had to you know they took some lumps they took some lumps but they they were able to get get off really quick and and turn that around and become a playoff team yeah as I said before the crazy part about this you know if if you’re if you’re doing this rebuild or retool or however they’re going to frame it publicly um with the designs of trying to keep that 2025 five top 10 proteced pick it’s going to be hard especially if you can’t trade Zack if you’ve got Zack and V and all these young eager Kobe white on the asent you know you’re not you’re gonna be kind of in that playing territory again so that’s kind of weird thing they’re they’re they they might be stuck a little bit but regardless of the win total and if you keep that top 10 pick I think getting giddy getting buis playing Julian Phillips playing Kobe White playing sumu playing Patrick wesy back that’s the direction you need to take and just let these guys run run a little Wild play through some mistakes and see what you got I mean you’ve got to try a new iteration of the roster and it certainly looks like that’s what they’re trying to do well we appreciate your time casy before we let you go is there anything else in your notebook that we should be watching for as free agency’s about to start no as I mentioned I’m mostly focused on the big stories now uh we do have a Tory Craig player option deadline coming up I reminded AK when he refus to answer my question it’s in two days so and Mark everley told me later jokingly really it was two days now I know um I I’ve been told Tory Craig’s been working out the advocate Center I don’t know if that means anything or not but we’ll find out in a couple days if he’s back um but yeah I’m mostly focused on the the big fish stories demard D rozan and Zack LaVine and um I’ll second what stacy says if either or both of those guys are gone man man you get to call him Stacy I get to interview him as classy and as professional of athletes as I’ve covered and they’ve always been incredibly gracious with the media so I personally will miss cover them I feel the same way about Alex Caruso and conveyed that to him post trade so uh yeah but let’s go man let’s try something different try something different man try something different you can’t always have lemon pepper wings did she’s not as like she’s almost under siiz when you see her go up against some of these girls but she’s so quick to the basketball and she’s so quick with the the her jumping she gets the ball she’s like Dennis Robin out there but she can also score too yeah you mentioned the robin comparison and that really Rings home with me because the thing thing with Dennis was he always had that act that Knack of knowing how the ball is going to come off the rim and he was always in the right spot and that’s as you mentioned she’s not 65 or anything but she’s always able to beat people to those loose balls well and she’s she’s also playing with a chip on her shoulder too every time she steps on a court you know she’s got a chip on her shoulder and you if you’re a coach in your organization you want players like that you know to play with passion and have play with a high motor you always hear about in the men’s game he has a great motor you know she’s got a great motor for the women’s game and she finally got win against Caitlyn Clark arrival from college the fever had won their first two games against the sky they won the the game we showed you the box score on YouTube was 88 87 a lot of Miss free throws at the end but they were able to hang on and get the win they’re playing the Las Vegas Aces tonight the two-time defending Champions struggling the score they’re tied at 46 they’ve been struggling this year they lost I think they had a five game losing streak yeah they they they were struggling um but they you know they got a veteran Laden team they’ll figure it out you know what’s nice too is that the television ratings are up but tenant is up people are really getting behind the women’s game and it’s about time well again I mean it started you know it started with the college game there was a whole wave of fans that come from Caitlyn Clark to paig Beckers to you know Juju Watson all these all these phenomenal female athletes you know and so it’s carried over to the WNBA it’s only going to get better from here on out because those kids are still in college you know Pace Becker is coming in next year uh juu Watkins has got probably three more years left because she was a freshman this year so there’s a lot of ton of uh ton of good talent coming in but it’s also that Dynamic of you know the LoveHate relationship that uh you know this the WNBA some of the players have with Caitlin Clark it’s like a so popper people are tuning in to see what happens next who who’s gonna hard Fowler or what is someone GNA say people are tuning into that and uh to her credit I’m I’m I’m I’m really surprised that she hasn’t let it get to her CU she’s never probably had to face this kind of you know scrutiny every single night uh or or phys physical play every single night that she’s facing in WNBA in our third segment we always like to take some of the questions from you the viewers and listeners of our podcast at Von 773 thinks that that the trade of Caruso for giddy was a good trade he thinks giddy is a great playmaker as well as a better score rebounder we need to replace Caruso with another on ball Defender well that that could be IOD dumu coming off the bench in that role yeah yeah I really stepped up his game defensively that’s one of the things that got him on the floor as a rookie was his defense and everything else just kind of fell into play um I expect him to even have a bigger jump this year uh I think minutes are going to be there from him from the start uh he’s going to have an opportunity to play into that that Caruso role uh where he’s going to be asked to guard some anywhere from point guard to Fours or fives like we saw Alex so I’m looking forward to see him how he worked this summer and did he get bigger and stronger because he’s he at last year he came in noticeably different his body was noticeably different last year I expect him to be the same as this year and Billy could use the young guys dalen Terry and Julian Phillips in that role as well to be dog Defenders I think Terry has that mentality it’s a question of can he make an impact because we’ve seen him at times play the passing Lanes get some steals get some Breakaway dunks that’s part of his game well the problem with the younger guys is is that the minutes are not always there and so when you do get minutes you go out there and try to do too much and I think that’s where dalen Terry has really Fallen prey because he wants to go out there and make an impact he knows he’s out there for two or three minutes so therefore you’re trying to make this spectacular play to stay on the floor I think this year will be a little bit different for him because now it’ll be what year three so he’ll be able to come in it normally takes a player like him you know two three years to to fill it out and I think he with his size 6 fo6 67 he can play multiple positions I I think Phillips is gonna come in I think he’s GNA take a huge step uh as KC was talking about you know he looked like he belonged when he was in the game and he put pressure on on Pat Williams to play you know you got you got a guy that plays the same position and so uh it’ll be interesting see how he comes in in year two got a question from Meredith at Mur W she’s really a big Alex Caruso fan she feels that a rebuild is probably imminent we should have gotten more for AC we’ve talked about that they could have gotten more if they moved him at last year’s trade deadline because then teams would have had two playoff runs with them and when it you get into the last year of a deal the value is diminished well and also he’s he’s over 30 he’s on the wrong side of 30 and he’s got a history of injuries and it was just a matter of time you know before with the way he plays you have to protect Alex from himself you know there’s been times last year I if that’s possible exactly cuz he plays hard and and and you know he plays with a motor and every single night you know what you’re going to get out of him every single night on the defensive end but what happens a lot of times I think that people don’t know is is that you know Alex had a lot of injuries he was playing through last year that might have kept the regular guy out most nights he was a game time decision if he was going to play or not so you know when you get to be that closer you know over 30 range and then you got a chance to go grab a 21y old who’s got a huge upside who’s already proven this league that he is a you know he’s a good player in this league as a 21 you know of course I would have loved to get another pick because I think Oklahoma City had 30 34 35 picks if we could have just like kind of Pride one away like last night 12 because last night would have been perfect with the way the draft fell you get connect at 12 and then you get Bellas at 11 those are two really key pieces the Bulls could have got last night but NBA it it unfortunately it’s not NBA 2K like you see on the video game you don’t get everything you want and I think the Bulls did Good by getting you know get him because he could be the point guard of the future and we should really talk about how Caruso is going to fit at OKC I mean this is the team that finished with the number one record in the Western Conference last year very young team with a superstar in Shay guildas Alexander you put Caruso into that closing lineup with with Lou Dort and Jaylen Williams and Chad holgren that’s a nice that’s that’s a nice Squad well you can plug Alex into any position on that Squad and you know you’re going to get an A1 defensive player you know this year he should have been First Team all defense but the league decided to have all big men be on the first team which was stupid you should be playing by position and he would have been a first team all defensive player two years in a row so now you put him on that Oklahoma City team I still think that that team needs a big if they can somehow go out and grab them a second tier big to to be able to take some pressure off of Jed home moveing maybe move him to his natural position power forward and then you got Caruso there defensively well going be SC May that’s where Andre Drummond winds up maybe because they wanted him at supposedly that’s what was one of the trade proposals and Jordan Mahoney says he’d love to know what your starting five would be for the current Bulls roster well then today that would include D rozan and Zach and Patrick Williams without them let’s just go without them I’m going I’m going young I’m going young I’m going I’m going giddy as I’m going giddy as my point I’m going Kobe as my two I’m going Patrick Williams as my three uh the four the four well if we we keep V the V will be your five it’s either balis or B said well it probably be I’m going balis yeah I mean I love Julian Phillips but I’m I’m going balous just because of the 610 height uh and the athleticism the kid brings he blocks shots he’s a rim protector I I don’t know people haven’t really seen this kid play this kid was projected number one in most polls and no less than five to get this kid at 11 that’s that’s that’s why I said that earlier on the tweet I said this in five years he could be the best player in this draft you know what’s G to be interesting to watch is what the Atlanta Hawks do so many rumors about Trey young deante Murray one are both being traded and they took this kid from France Zachary racee and maybe he’ll turn out to be a great player but I saw the the tape on him just look like a guy I mean he you know for a number one pick in the it reminded me when the Cavaliers took Anthony Bennett back back in 2013 well I saw a tweet today from Frank Mason used to play uh Kansas Guard from Kansas and he said he played against him in France multiple times many times and he was like he’s the number one pick like he basically questioned him number one pick listen Atlanta is in a situation where they’re in influx right now because you’ve got two guards that everybody wants okay uh San Antonio really really wants Trey young to play alongside you know wimy okay okay I don’t know if that going to happen I don’t know if they have enough assets to to make that trade happen uh the Lakers want to jonay Murray to you know so you got their two guards you know you got to make a decision on there and just like us just like all these other teams who are in that that that Purgatory what direction are we going into is this if you’re Atlanta are we a playoff team with the current roster set up the way it is okay you know no you might be a playing Team you might be that 9 10 11 team but can we win a championship with this roster that what’s currently set up we got all stars in and you know Trey young and dejay Murray we’re not going to win anything so you have to make a decision and organization we can stand Pat and just be mediocre or we can say hey let’s start building get some young players here get some assets do like Oklahoma City did everybody laughed at Oklahoma City in the beginning when prey was stealing all these picks and getting all these picks from people and trading Durant and then trading uh the hardens and all these people and they secured those picks and put them in a vault and then all of a sudden you get lucky you’re able to go get you know you go get a shay guilis Alexander who was who was basically playing like non minutes in LA and you get him and he turns your you know turns your your your organization around you get a Chris Paul who got a year to tutor him you got a coaching Billy Donovan who was coaching him as well they they that team is gonna be really tough for the next five six years it’s going to be interesting to see all the changes that happened this summer and KC was talking about the fact that it might be hard to finish in the bottom 10 I was thinking about this earlier today you look around the NBA there’s maybe six teams that are clearly worse than the Bulls and then you think well what about Atlanta what about Toronto they could take a dive I mean you just don’t know it might not be that easy to finish in that bottom let me tell you something there’s going to be a lot of teams pulling trying to find the tank commanders because this is this thisly yeah next year’s draft is the draft you want to be in okay so there’s going to be a lot of teams out there saying hey you know what we don’t need to win right now we’re we’re trying to get into this this this lottery for next year because there are some game changers in that top 10 pick and then there’s some guys that are even lower than that can also be game changed this is supposed to be one of the deepest drafts in a long long time I think Cameron Payne’s a free agent so we could always bring him hey you know what hey yeah no we don’t want him we don’t want him cuz he was he had a DUI you can’t be driving the tank in a DUI bro no sorry no you can’t do it sorry sorry right now but Spartacus oh there you go blood and Sand this is this is a this is an older thing this is the the lead actor right there he passed away uh cancer so he never really got to finish the and what the storyline is he’s a a Cook County assistant uh States Attorney and he’s was dating having an affair with one of his co-workers and she turns up dead and she turns up dead and she’s tied up in a way that that a previous crime had been committed but he’s the only person that that was in the room so everyone’s pointing the finger at him and so he’s trying to find a way to to get himself off the ramp but we don’t know yet whether he did it or not so it’s a really really intense story so he got freaky yeah basically and so so something went wrong and he something went wrong with Jake and now he’s being blamed for this this girl being murdered and and with what Apple does they only give you one episode a week yeah yeah you got to wait yeah yeah yeah yeah I’ve always done that too so we’re four episodes in and it’s looking like he’s guilty but maybe we’ll get a Twist yeah we might get I don’t know though who else could have been in there there’s nobody that’s shown his son was supposedly around he’s got like a 16y old son who’s like a good high school baseball pitcher so they’re trying to point the finger like like maybe he went in to try to he was upset that his dad was cheating on his mom oh wow so we’ll see maybe it’s the wife we’ll see how that turns out um you know what’s back though for the third season uh the bear about to Chicago restaurant with the guy from Shameless Jeremy Allen White that uh that came on Hulu on Thursday and Hulu lets you have all episodes right away so you you can binge the whole season if you want well and also The Boys Are Back The Boys Are Back Cisco finally decided to join the boys he never seen it before there’s heads exploding everywhere yeah he’s he’s he’s joined the crew now he’s in season one and he likes it he gives a thumbs up you know the funny thing is I I watched the first two seasons I had no idea till you mention it that it was the same guy from uh um um bansi bansi yeah cuz it’s like night and day characters totally different totally different characters for one his hair is blonde yeah and he doesn’t look so scruffy like he did in bansi but bansi was a hell of show America if you haven’t seen bans check that out that out that’s a great show A1 violence and and good character development it’s a really great show great character development check it out Banshee before we get out is Mike waiting the parking lot yeah Mike’s out there doing push-ups um as usual you know he’s got his new ride you know every time we every time we drive by girls are whistling at his new ride you know I come in the car Dave Mike went the jewel bought himself some meatloaf he he has like these little personal picnics in his car for like three people but it’s only him so like I come out today he’s out there he’s got meatloaf he’s got chicken he’s got he’s got potato salad with raisins in it who has raisins and potato salad that’s disgusting okay but he’s got it he’s got it you know he’s got a little picnic going
