Wizards TRADE Deni Avdija for SCRAPS

Wizards TRADE Deni Avdija for SCRAPS

so the Washington Wizards and the first draft day trade are sending Denny AIA to the Blazers for often injured Malcolm Brogden tonight’s 14th pick and a pick five years from now in 2029 and the Wizards are just going to wizard man Denny AIA was their best player he’s like their best piece and normally you know 14th pick for Dania in a Pick 5 years from now might not be as bad but this is notoriously known as a very good draft now I think there are some actual sleeper players that are going to be available tonight that I like some players that are projected to go later but overall the 14th pick is not worth that much and a 2029 pick same thing and Denny abdia he’s still only 23 years old because I’m sure with the Wizards are thinking like we’re going to draft alexar we’re going to clear out the wing position um and we are going to um give him room to do his thing and we’re going to uh rebuild but the thing is you can rebuild with Den who’s 23 years old and he’s on a particularly good contract he just signed a 4-year $55 million deal for a guy that’s 23 scoring efficiently and a solid Defender getting paid like 12 million a year that’s such a steal and actually I just pulled it up it gets um cheaper as the years go along so he to me is worth more than this I think this is a great deal for the Blazers Denny AIA Not only was he dropping 15 and eight a game getting hting 51% from the field 37% from three he was doing that with Jordan p as his point guard you know like one of the reasons why you might say Mel Bridges was worth all those picks for the Knicks is because you know cam Thomas and Spencer D he were his point guards so his numbers were never going to look good Denny AIA had to deal with a similar thing with Jordan P running the show and yet he was still able to put up solid numbers so for the Wizards I just can’t understand this for the life of me I would try and draft alexar and really try to be get make that be my identity of having long Wings versatile players and you can even have S at like the five ABIA at the four kosma at the three and that could actually get you some type of identity some wings that are versatile that can do a lot of different things pass a little bit defend a little bit but instead you know maybe they hit big with a 14th overall pick and you don’t it makes sense later on but to me I can’t make sense of it for the Blazers I think it makes a lot of sense um I think with they did things last off season I didn’t love it but it seemed like a team that was kind of trying to not have a super long rebuild and this seems to be kind of continuing that they want to be stay young but also be getting better and improving and adding young players that can play right now and I think this is kind of an area of their roster where they were a little weak where they have solid guards Shaden sharp wasn’t the best last year but still has potential has flashes um sco Henderson was rough but got better as the year went along um and they still have Anthony Simons there they’re pretty strong in the back back court the front Court in the wings is where they’re really rough outside of like Jeremy Grant but this makes it so they’re still young and developing a 23y old guy who’s gotten better each year and you are more competitive you’ve got AIA and jomy Grant in the front Court that’s pretty solid at the four positions if DeAndre aan has a better season this year at the center with Simons and Scoot if scoot takes a leap then you could have somewhat of an interesting Team without giving up your future like I said because you’re bringing in a young guy and you actually got one rid of one of your older players so for the Wizards this makes no sense to me he’s worth more than this especially when you consider the contract he’s on for the Blazers I think this is an amazing deal Den AIA I wasn’t like huge on him up until this past year but this year he really won me over I think he’s really good I think he’s very good and underpaid but let me know what y’all think drop a comment hit that like and then subscribe please yes sir

  1. This is a bad decision, but I am happy for Deni … he is in situation where can become an All-Star and explode next season, something what happened with LauriM. It's just that Deni is a better all-around player, better D , and in Wizards he was stuck behind Jordan and Kuzm

  2. just so u know,. BROGDEN Is NOT scraps!!!!
    he's a better guard than CP3 & Up there w/ Dame,.. Donovan,.. & Pg's
    who can floor general & make 3's!!! ;
    I honestly hope yall trade or release him to a 'winner', unless your
    going to be Serious about bringing in More help!!!
    Brogden,.. Sarr,. & Kuzma's a good start but u clearly need more than that! ;

  3. well looks like win-win.
    Portland win – Avdija, young talented wing that they need to replace Grant.
    Washington win – 2x 1st round picks some 2nds and a solid vet (rotation player), creating some space for Sarr to develop. If they didnt traded Avdija, Sarr wouldnt get the minutes to develop or Avdija would be benched and decrease his value.

  4. who won trade? Celtic behind scene… somehow celtic convince wiz to trade Dani. Dani is Celtic killer and he can stop both wing Brown or Tatum. Dani is greatest ability is wing defense.

  5. Deni is solid but he is not gonna make your team, Deni will never average more that 16 points per game. Stop looking at this as Brogdon is gonna be the future is an asset, Wizards got rid of a 4 year salary for 1 year salary after this year coming up the 22 milion from Brogdon contact comes off the book. Its about long term vision, I love the move and I love this new Wizards management. Kuzma is next, we will probaly flip him for a first unprotected 2025 pick. I also loved the picks the Wizards made this draft.

  6. Avdija was traded because of Poole incident. They don't get along. One had to go. I think Poole is better player so Avdijia had to go. Good Luck.

  7. Deni was ok but it was time for him to leave he been in Washington 4 years and he was up and down on the court New management knows what they doing

  8. This was a great trade. Sorry to see Denny go but they got a first round this year and two more for trade and draft packages next year and beyond. The new GM is rebuilding through the draft. So far his picks are a league better than the previous GM and for once they have a plan and are following it.
