this is the first of its kind you know this two-day process just having gone through it just your thoughts on the overall experience that what the dve presented and your overall takeways from that yeah it’s been it’s been a lot for sure but it’s a blessing um just a gift from God to be here in the first place and it’s I’ve had a great time this is I guess the first of us kind you know typically the draft is a one day thing were there were there any thoughts going through your head just hearing the whole two their and having to sit you know in in a room like that yeah it was it was definitely tough a little bit uh I didn’t know if I would go the first or second day um so I was kind of in between so I went to the draft last night waited and didn’t get called obviously but I came here today and I got pick so I’m super excited to get to work how excited for you and Tyler to get this opportunity man I’m super excited uh Tyler deserves the world I’m so excited that we both made it is this our dream since we’re kids so um Marquette family is so proud of us and I’m so proud of him what do you think he’ll bring to the uh next just toughness a winner um hard worker just everything you look for in a player is Tyler so I’m excited to see what he does in the NBA can you sort of walk us through what the last like 24 48 Hours has been like leading up yeah so got to New York worked out for the Nets and then uh came and did all the media stuff to the day before Wednesday did more media got got to the draft and was there for until almost 11: 11:30 and then did it all again today got ready came here and um they had this event for us and I got picked so super excited relieved uh ready to move on for sure my name is OAS gdo and I’m from Chandler Arizona just talk to me now some general questions how great was it to hear your name called by Mark tatman drafted to the NBA yeah it was crazy I’ve been dreaming about this moment since I was a kid um just a blessing from God I’m super excited awesome we’ve done the history on you we looked at your background tell us a little bit about uh the connection you have to the continent Nigeria and how important that that is to you yeah uh super proud of my Nigerian Heritage my dad’s Nigeria I went back uh when I was younger uh just something that I have on the back of my on my back for sure uh I’m trying to represent the the country well what can fans expect from you in your rookie season uh someone that’s going to keep getting better a hard worker great teammate uh I think I can be a connector for the Phoenix Suns and I’m excited to show that on the court what are you most looking to when you arrive in your new seity uh I’m excited to eat Rubios I’m from Arizona it’s my favorite rest restaurant so I’m excited to get there uh get my favorite restaurant what you do with that first paycheck man probably put it in my bank account save a little uh yeah I don’t have any plans right now I’m kind of I’m kind of stingy with my money so yeah smart man tell us one fun fact about you that fans may not know one fun fact about me is I can eat the same foods every day I don’t I don’t I never get sick of them I love breakfast foods and uh I just kind of I’m a very routine person well I was gonna ask you your pregame routine is what and then your pregame meal is what yeah my pregame routine I usually write in my journal uh listen to music and depending on the the time of the game I’ll get a nap in and that’s about it uh last thing what’s the greatest thing about being a professional basketball player the greatest thing about becoming a professional basketball players getting to compete against all these guys I’m so excited to compete about against the best of the best and that’s what I’ve been dreaming about so chasing a championship and competing man it was amazing so excited uh yeah I can’t explain it yeah it means everything grew up in Arizona I love Arizona I’m super excited to get to work uh winner hard worker uh someone who’s versatile plays both ends of the floor great teammate a great person I want to win I want to try to go there hopefully win an NBA championship I know that’s what the organization wants and the city wants so I’m excited to work towards that
