    – NY picked up Jericho Sims’ $2.1 million option for next season

    – NY declined Daquan Jeffries’ team option

    – NY extended a two-way qualifying offer to Jacob Toppin

    – NY did not extend a qualifying offer to Duane Washington Jr.

    No surprises.

~~Sean~~ Bobby Marks expects the trade to go through at the end of the week – we’ll get some signings done before and then add salary to the trade to hardcap us to the second apron

  3. I know he costs more, but damn do I prefer Precious to Sims.

So from my perspective you have to consider the first and second aprons. In a scenario where you make and also decline to make qualifying offers, you put yourself in hard cap territory.

Couple this with the 2.1M Sims contract you can conclude that the aprons are, indeed in play.

Precious could or could not be used in a sign and trade which will relieve taxes between hard, soft and aprons caps.

That being said I have no fucking clue what I am talking about or what any of this means. Knicks in 4. In Leon we trust.
