[Anthony F. Irwin] I’m told the Lakers and Trail Blazers have been in consistent talks on a deal for Jerami Grant. I wouldn’t call it particularly imminent but the sides have definitely been active most of today.

I feel that Cronin’s FO has been pretty tight lipped so I this is likely a deal that won’t happen but JG would fit well in LA. Not sure what they can give up though.
Is the source credible is always my question. May have to wait for some dominoes in FA before a grant or ant deal anyways

I doubt they want to give up Knecht. It is probably 29 unprotected, 30 swap, Hachimura, and Vincent. That’s 28 million in salary for Grants’ 29.7 million, so saves the Blazers money as well.

Please give us Knecht the ‘29 pick and whatever filler. Loved Knecht and while Deni is better at the same position I have high hopes for Knecht being a 10 year sniper.

There is no single contract that could work. So that means not guaranteeing DB at a minimum, and being short a starting 4 and an insurance ball handler.
So, that’s like Rui and Gabe, or Russel and Vando… Which is a prospect/role player level 4, and starter/role player level PG. Ass backwards from what POR is sending out / losing, with a full roster.
