Raptors TRADE Interest in Nets Shooter – Scottie Contract Details Revealed | Raptors News

we have a Toronto Raptors trade update as reports have come out revealing the Raptors have interest in making a deal with the Brooklyn Nets to acquire cam Johnson bring him to Toronto and cam Johnson is a three-point sniper not crazy young anymore but does have potential and if the Raptors do lose some shooting and a Gary Trent Jr or different moves in the offseason could be an interesting fit so we’ll discuss that including a Scotty Burns contract update as we all know we saw he got that massive extension from the Toronto Raptors just a few days ago but now more details have been revealed in terms of what that extension will actually look like for this Toronto Raptor team because frankly Scotty barns is uh a key piece to this team moving forward and the back end of this deal is very interesting proving that Scotty Barnes is all in what’s going on right now for the Toronto Raptors but before we dive into any of that folks again over 51% of our viewers are or 49% of the viewers are not subscrib to the channel so make sure you guys hit that subscribe button if you want to stay up to date with all of the latest crazy reports that are coming up almost hourly for the Toronto Raptors this time of year is just absolutely banana so make sure you guys hit that subscribe button but let’s dive in to the first topic of discussion the first thing we’re taking a look at is the Raptors being interested in cam Johnson a cam Johnson trade and obviously as I mentioned in the intro cam Johnson is an interesting player but I want to say regressed the Nets had a very weird season last year so essentially a lot of eyes have been turned to what they’re going to do in terms of the off season and it looks like trades are coming cuz they just Steed away Mel Bridges cam Johnson’s on a large contract and they got all their picks back they’re trying to tank and get some value and essentially a report is come out revealing that the Brooklyn next forward cam Johnson has drawn recent trade interests from several teams including the Toronto Raptors and the Sacramento Kings League sources have told Hoops hype so that’s the report that’s coming out regarding cam Johnson and he’s an interesting piece an interesting player because last season averaged 13 points per game four rebounds 2.4 assists and shot 39% from the three-point line but as I mentioned the stats kind of regressed from previous Seasons with the Suns or just last year with the Brooklyn Nets that kind of half season while the KD trade went down but still only 28 years old shoots 46% on corner 3es and you know most of them our assist upon but as a spot up shooter he is Elite he has good size he’s 68 so can run those forward positions you know never really developed into the most elite sort of uh stifling on ball Defender but still is very very talented very very good on that end of the floor on top of being a solid three shooter so again we’ve talked about the need for shooting on this Toronto Raptors team when you’re constructing a roster around Scotty Barnes and RJ Barett particularly obviously Emanuel quickly can shoot in the giraffe he just dropped drafted jacobe Walters who’s going to be a guy that certainly is going to knock down some shots Grady dicks on this roster as of right now the Starboy Gary Trent Jr you know still projected to come back but we’re going to see what goes on in that front and then even that front Court we have Sasha vov as well as Kelly o linck that can space the floor obviously Perle isn’t much of a three-point threat but the Raptors have brought in some shooting around this team and cam Johnson is a guy that certainly would uh fit personnel-wise to this Toronto Raptors team and he’s a guy that his contract is pretty significant over the next uh three seasons 23 21 and 23 million you make this deal you’re kind of bringing in a guy you expect to be a core piece and I don’t know it might be some tough cap flexibility if we um if we don’t bring back Gary Tren if we bring back Gary Tren JR this trade makes absolutely Ely zero sense I’d imagine if this deal is going to go down we trade Bruce Brown I don’t know if we’d even have to attach assets because this is big money for cam Johnson and I’d imagine he’s not a negative asset out there on the open market but given three years and how the tax is currently affecting a ton of teams across the NBA I mean the the Sacramento Kings just dealt away two very valuable second round picks and Davon Mitchell was a good basketball player Sasha vov was a guy that didn’t really want to be there in Sacramento but they gave up four solid ass set for jayen McDaniels who’s on his own contract in his own right just to get under the tax a little bit so frankly the tax is making people do crazy things here now so I I wouldn’t be shocked if uh the Nets again our team that’s not going to be worried about the tax we can look at their sort of uh Team Construction roster construction here now at this point they have Ben Simmons under contract for the next couple years cam Johnson you know for the next few seasons or C Ben Simmons just one year not counting the 2023 2024 season but uh cam Johnson for three years and then rest of their roster pretty open books they just trade away Mel Bridges they have boan bonovich now as a big salary spot but again they might want maximum flexibility so they can bring in a ton of contracts bad contracts so they can accumulate and stockpile assets so we’ll see what the Raptors would actually have to give up in one of these deals again salary-wise we can make a Bruce Brown option kind of deal work I don’t imagine they’d be interested in yaka purle maybe a sign and trade get something weird like that but I find it interesting the Raptors are linked to Johnson on that front so we’ll see what ends up going down on that uh Direction but we also have a major update regarding Scotty Barns and his contract essentially reveals that he is all in with this Toronto Raptors group this Toronto Raptors organization because obviously this man was uh G given one of the biggest the the biggest contract in Toronto Raptor history if you’re not familiar basically received a deal for five years can net him upwards of $270 million so Scotty Barnes is getting paid regardless going in the future but actual you know insights and details have been revealed on the contract now as Mike Scott came out and said that Allstar Ford Scotty Barnes agreed to a 5-year maximum extension which could be worth as much as 270 million as Adrian ESPN’s Adrien morowski reported Barnes will become the highest played player ever uh for the Toronto Raptors and he’s all in on Toronto with the extension agreement including no player or team options in the deal League sources have told Hoops hype so what does that mean so a lot of these contracts a lot of these uh you know things when they uh when deals come out they the back end of the deal is what a lot of the negotiations come from hey Scotty do you have an option to opt out of this team do you have the option to go somewhere else you know decline a player option and move into a different team Scotty has none of such options he is a player that is locked into the tonal Raptors now for the foreseeable future and you know is not going to be able to sort of leave a year early based off of what’s going on then obviously the modern NBA you when your contract expires you essentially have the leverage to get traded a year and a half before that happens so MSI Jerry’s push back that date for a very long time regarding Scotty Barnes he will be under you know the torona Raptor sort of uh control basically to like 2030 so that’s a positive when you’re locking up a young star who himself you know had a great breakout season this year 19.9 points per game 8.2 rebounds 6.1 assists 1.5 blocks 1.3 steals you know shot 34% but that number was a lot higher at the start of the Season before he broke his hand and well I guess all of it was before he broke his head but before Scott Pascal seak noji and anobi were away right he’s still only 22 years old which is crazy to think because of the level of production that he’s providing 36% from the corners J is proving to be an allaround star for this Toronto Raptors team again we didn’t win a ton of games last year but very uh positive that he seems bought in he’s ready to go for this Toronto Raptor team and basically all this article all this info is coming from this Mike Scot article and then there’s also rumors that came up I briefly want to mention I’m not even going to make a chapter out of it but apparently the Raptors are a Darkhorse Target for Brandon Ingram again cam Johnson seems like a realistic trade possibility something Messi Jerry might be more inclined more interested to give up you know a make a deal happen but the Raptors are linked to Brandon Ingram right now and I just don’t see a world where it’s an actual possibility but I just wanted to mention it here at the end of a video because uh you know I’m keeping you up to date with all of the latest news and everything that’s going on and uh I don’t suspect that it’s going to be uh something that actually happens for this team but Brandon at the fourth we don’t have to give up too much could be an interesting team you know Emanuel quickley RJ Barrett Scotty Barnes Brandon Ingram and then I guess purle whoever were running that Center at that point could be a a cool team but the Pelicans after making that Deonte Murray trade are win now so I’m not sure what the Raptors can kind of offer to have a deal make sense but let me know what you guys think in the comment section down below about all this latest news regarding the Toronto Raptors you guys best think this far 1. The idea of cam Johnson is awesome, has been since he left unc as an older players. Issue is…THIS MAN DOES NOT PLAY. He’s always injured but if we can get him cheapish it may be worth a flier for a team like this

  2. Please no!!! Cam is always injured, not aging well… I want to see a big like Goga or Smith (being realistic with my wishes), lol.

  3. You guys dont like Jak cuz he doesnt fit with timeline then you like Cam Johnson? This is totally idiotic. They both 28.😂😂😂

  4. I'm also a Phoenix fan and he can pass well enough to be more than just a shooter…he makes good plays.
