Definitely couldn’t afford that. Best of luck to Yonas

  2. One of the best Pelicans of all-time. Good luck Jonas.

I know everyone likes to suck him off on this sub, but thank god that shitter is gone. No defense, minimal offense except for the rare good shooting game, and never played more than 20 minutes against any team with a good center because he got ran off the court. Almost unplayable in the playoffs. He was useless. I will never understand the obsession with thinking he’s anything more than garbage.

Just glad it’s not the Lakers. But I’m gonna miss that walking double double of a man.

First time in my 20+ years of watching sports I’m happy someone leaving so they can get more PT elsewhere. Well wishes brotha 🙏🏾🙏🏾

with him and drummond off the board as far as centers are concerned, who we getting?

  7. Willie did him so dirty it’s disgusting. Will miss ya JV

Bro could have easily chosen a team like the Lakers or OKC at that price and made our lives hell for those next 2-3 years in the fight for the standings. Man low-key did us a major solid choosing to sit out the tail end of his prime chilling on a tanking team like the Wiz. Good looks and good luck to the big man, deserves all the respect for how professional he always was during his tenure here, in spite of our UN-professional coaching philosophies.

  9. I’m offended this is all he got. Dude is a pros pro. We should’ve kept him.

i’ll be cheering him on. he was a cool guy. i remember getting him was huge after the depressing SVG and bledsoe period. he held it down when we had the worst record in the nba. always said he liked playing here and rarely ever missed a game. as a matter of fact he played 81 games last season.

on top of that, it’s very easy to root for him when he joined the wizards and not the lakers as rumored earlier.

Going to miss JV! Go get your minutes!! Cliché, but he really was a true professional. Never once complained about anything ever. And a warrior who never missed a game.

    Relevant part for New Orleans:

“They also have a trade exception they could acquire him into via sign and trade. This could be an option toward helping the New Orleans Pelicans acquire a new center as part of a bigger deal.”

This a great situation for Jonas and he gets a lil bag. He’s the type of player that can help a terrible team at least become competent. Also glad he’s not going to them hoeass Lakers

The Jonas Valantchoupitoulas Era has ended. Best of luck big man.

Next time Wizards play at the Blender, we all need to give that dude a standing O.

bro really wanted no parts of william green💀

i wish him luck with the wizards

He will do well with the Wizards and if I played Fantasy BBall, he’d be a steal for my team. I wish him the best AND I’m thrilled he didn’t go to the Lakers

  17. scrape-scrape-scrape

I’d rather have kept him than Willie
