yo what’s going on guys little late night news and yes what we’re hearing is our boy Derek Jones Jr is signing with the Los Angeles Clippers according to Sham Shir and Derrick Jones Jr this year came off a career year where he had 8.6 points 3.3 rebounds and one assist a game and 76 games this year for the Dallas Mavericks who made it all the way to the NBA finals I know a lot of people would say that his NBA Finals performance left some to be desired some more to be desired but he shot 48% from the field 34% from three which was a career best three-point percentage for him and three and a half rebounds now for his career he is a seven points per game guy but over the last couple season Seasons he’s been in a more reserved role but this year really was the first year since his Miami Heat season that he was able to go out and be a guy that could have like a regular rotational role and be a starter and I guess in Portland he was also starting now for him in 2019 to 2020 he was a guy who actually made it all the way to the NBA finals with the the D not the Dallas Mavericks but with with the Miami Heat when they lost the Lakers and then he made it to the Dallas Maverick so he’s lost twice in the finals so this guy is a somebody who has a lot of experience and at this point in his career he’s a multi-positional Defender who for the the Clippers they’re a team that went out and I think right now in free agency they got themselves Kev Porter Jr I thought that was a really good move they lost obviously Paul George but the the roster as of right now with how it’s looking at at what it’s looking like right now I think they’ve done a good job of pivoting in finding Collective groups of players to help replace their their guy like drik Jones Jr one of the better transition players in the league one of the best dumper dunkers one of the most athletic guys in the league it’s great off ball can cut slash catches with them ease finishes Above the Rim and he’s good you you know like I said in transition can run as a pick and roll screener and he’s developed a somewhat consistent jump shot he has that long wingspan that allows him to have to be a somewhat plus Defender when he you know closes in so for the Clippers I think they’ve done a good job of building up depth and really going in because now they have James Harden teren man Derrik Jones Jr Kawhi Leonard you know zubot that that could be their staring lineup then they have bones Highland kort Jr Amir coffee nor Norman pal PJ Tucker who they’re expected to trade same thing with Russell Westbrook Off the Bench and they still have Kobe Brown Jordan Miller and cam Christie so I think this is a really good roster
