Los Angeles Clippers Trading Russell Westbrook??
yo what’s going on guys this Houston Sports Talk Back to another video day and today it has been reported by ESPN that the Clippers well really reported by everywhere that the Clippers are actively trying to trade Russell Westbrook after Russell Westbrook picked up his I believe it was like a four or five million player option the Clippers and Russell Wester working together to find a trade to get Russell Westbrook U away from this Clippers roster uh the two sides are going to find the best fit for both for both sides uh you know they’re going to try to it’s been reported they’re they’re going to try to find the right trade for the Clippers and also you know the right spot for Russell Westbrook the nine-time All-Star two time scoring champ three assist champ nine time all NBA two two time All-Star MVP and one time MVP in the 201617 season will be headed to now what would be his sixth NBA team feels like a couple years ago Russ was uh just moved mov from the Thunder to the Rockets as I’m a Rockets fan and now Russell Westbrook is going to be on his sixth NBA team Russ had a very solid season with the Clippers in 68 games with 11 starts 22 and a half minutes per game 11 points per game where he finished seventh and Sixth Man of the Year voting he also averaged four and a half assists per game with 1.1 steals per game and five rebounds per game from three he shot terrible 27% but his field goal percentage was 45% when when you’re shooting that terrible from three 45% from the floor is not bad the 2223 season he finished ninth in voting for six man of the year and averaged 15.9 points per game on the season and you know with the Clippers 16 points per game with the Lakers 16 points per game as well or 15.9 with the Lakers and you know with the Clippers he averaged seven uh assists per game and five rebounds per game same thing as well with the Lakers six rebounds per game seven and a half assists per game with the Lakers but he was a lot better on the Lakers than he was with the Clippers his field goal percentage was a lot better 41% with the Lakers 49% with the Clippers obviously 2021 22 season with the Lakers wasn’t great either 19 points per game 7.1 assists per game 7.4 rebounds per game and 78 games with 78 starts and his field goal percentage was 44% was not really working out there 2020 21 season with the Washington Wizards his sole season with the wizards one of the his best seasons uh we not one of his it’s up there 22.2 points per game 11 point .7 assists per game which is the most assists per game he’s ever had in a season and 11.5 rebounds per game the reason I call it one of his best seasons is because it was his highest totals ever in his career with both rebounds and assists and he averaged a triple double for only the fourth what yeah fourth time in his career um that’s the last time he’s averaged a triple double that year he played uh 65 games of 65 starts and was an MVP candidate finished 10th place in MVP voting um yeah and Beal was was great that year as well for Washington uh then the season before he averaged 27 points per game with seven assists per game and eight rebounds per game with the Houston Rockets and obviously we all know the years with the Oklahoma City Thunder I’ll go over his MVP season and all that’s done for the Highlight for this for you know for the for the going over his stats 32 points per game in his MVP season averaging uh 10.7 rebounds per game and 10.4 assist per game in a total of 81 games with 81 starts its field goal percentage was 42 % and is from three he shot 34% so Russ has accomplished a lot in his career but he’s at the end of it now and the Clippers want to move on I’m really interested to see what’s going to happen to clippers because obviously we know everything that’s going on with Paul George but there’s a lot of other stuff going on in this organization they just resigned James Harden they just made a very interesting move bringing in Kevin Porter Jr on a two-year deal Chris Paul was just waved from the Golden State Warriors there have been interest from the Clippers so I think the Clippers might be involved with Chris Paul um I I I’m not going to rule out even though you added you’ve added it they’ve added in Kevin por Jr I wouldn’t rule out them trading Russell Westbrook and signing Chris Paul to a cheap deal because just the fact and potentially bringing in Demar de R rozan I know that’s a lot to potentially happen but um I just wouldn’t rule those things happening uh right now I wouldn’t rule those things out because Kevin Porter J guess he played two seasons at point guard for the with at Point at the point guard position with the Rockets but you know he is more of a shooting guard small forward the Rockets turn him into a position yes he did well at that but it’s a position he he shouldn’t be playing he should be playing at shooting guard so I I think that Chris Paul with the Clippers is still an option so
