Moe getting resigned too so that means WCJ is the odd man out, go get ant simons in a 3 team trade pelicans, lakers, and a shit ton of other teams need a center.

Good for Goga man, he’s really earned a place for himself. He was a beast during that 9 game streak.

Well well well, wasn’t expecting this at all. Great job Weltman and well done Goga!

I like to think this means he’ll get a lot more minutes than he did down the stretch last season.

Good move, this makes WCJ expendable for trades if the need arises.

Hmmm. I would be surprised if Wagner isn’t resigned, so this really does seem like WCJ could be on the way out. Which I am perfectly fine with. I just don’t think Orlando is dishing this kind of money out to a guy they are sure would be the 3rd center off the bench. Maybe WCJ is traded only to free up more money, who knows.

I like this, I like this a lot. Loved what he brought to the table in Dells absence. Happy he got paid and it was by us! I’m guessing Moe is next.

solid contract, and we definitely need depth at C given WCJ’s injury history

Great work by the front office! Now we resign Mo, then WCJ becomes a tradable asset. Put a package together of WCJ, whoever else and picks and go and get a guard who can take us to the next level 💪

  9. Very happy with this. If WCJ misses a handful of games, Magic doesn’t miss a beat with Goga.

  10. Nice for us and for Goga. People who think this means we’re packing WCJ for something need to stop setting themselves up for disappointment just so they can in turn be pissed off at the FO. Goga is gonna have the same role with us as WCJ insurance, and now he’s a nice trade chip on a great contract.

Awesome. Goga is a fine backup and the center market is thin and crazy expensive right now.

  12. Goga is a great backup and brings a different perspective to our C rotation. I’m not sure why everyone thinks him getting paid means WCJ is gone though.

I’m not against them moving WCJ for the right player but there isn’t really anyone available that could play starter for us right now.

Great pickup, we have seen he can step up when needed.

Wasn’t expecting this and I feel like the FO wouldn’t be wanting to do the odd man out thing with 3 rotation level bigs again, and I thought tbh Goga would be tryna get somewhere else to play as well.

Feels like Mo ain’t coming back or a WCJ trade is something they’re confident in

I’m glad Goga is back, he’s a quality backup big – and with the way the cap space has gone up it’s a very solid deal money wise. Now to just also retain Mo Wagner to complete the big man rotation please

  15. Herban_Myth

Why if he’s going to average 5 MPG in the playoffs??

  16. Special_Push7751

When your starting C is injury prone you’ve got to have 2 more as backup. Solid deal.

All of this Trade WCJ talk is sacrilegious, dude was playing hurt most of the year, fully expect a bounce back season where he is looking more like the beast he was before
