I don’t think we can beat desperation

Golden State gonna offer like 6 first rounds unprotected, kaminga, the Golden Gate Bridge and Riley Curry.

Let them. Don’t let Ainge try to fuck us

  2. Spurs can very easily outbid the Warriors but I doubt they do

I can see a 3 team deal where we funnel in a few seconds for them and get back a young player. Prob not Kuminga but someone like Moody or Trayce Jackson-Davis is attainable

We can outbid the warriors but should we tho?

Lauri is expiring, anyone breaking the bank for him is crazy.

I don’t see how Golden State wins a betting war even if they try to go all in if either the Spurs or thunder are involved. It feels like Oklahoma City is probably going to make. Maybe one more move on the fringes but probably isn’t going to do anything splashy after making a couple of, really really good, moves.

Se, if the jazz are serious about moving him now, it’s hard to imagine a team who could outbit us if we were serious about wanting him.

If the report that the Spurs are actively looking to trade for him is true, I’m sure Brian right has a good idea what the price is and isn’t going to get sticker shock

I don’t think we should absolutely blow all of our assets on him. To be clear. I’m just saying I don’t think he ends up in Golden State because they offer a can’t miss package.

Personally I think this is Utah. Trying to drum up interest so they don’t have to extend him. Because make no mistake, if a trade doesn’t happen this off-season they’re definitely going to extend him and then just look to trade him later.

Touché on the “Riley Curry” bit. I almost missed it on my read through. 🤣

What’s the point of having 50 billion picks if we can’t use them on anything?

  8. Mclitness

New game plan, let try to get some of the warriors picks because if this trade doesn’t pan out, the team is about to be terrible for years to come.

I rather Spurs beat the Warriors for Lauri sweepstake

    preventing Warrior extend their dynasty?

and Spurs could make a potential Wemby sidekick twin towers of this era

Let Golden State go full Clippers and mortgage their future on an old team.

If we could keep it to 3 1sts and none in 2025, sure. Ideally both those wolves picks plus like 1 other

  12. TheTrueByronJames

Time to cash in those chips, Brian! This is the one you buy, now, while we have theoretical assets. Soon those picks will be a mix of “he might be…” and “if he fixes his shot…” as well as some Josh “peekaboo” Primos and Tall Lukas mixed in. Don’t hesitate, seize the moment!

  13. Unless Lauri is pushing this to happen, there is also no benefit to the Jazz making moves now. They can wait on offers all offseason. Let the market dry up and ask for more if you think you can. Which sucks for anyone targeting him.

The warriors don’t have shit. The spurs can beat any offer the warriors can come up with. Fuck them. Only team that can match assets is probably the thunder but theyre tied up right now.

Spurs should do it and it also fucks the warriors double win.

I don’t think y’all understand how good Laurie is and how perfectly he would fit.

  15. What are the Warriors even trying to do? They are so far removed from contention at this point… Klay is gone, Steph is not getting any younger, Dray is way past his prime, Wiggins cannot be relied on, Kuminga may improve but even with the potential addition of Lauri they’d stay in play-in territory. They want to accommodate Steph when they really should be blowing it up.

He’s gonna be way too expensive and we are still rebuilding. Better to hold our assets for later and keep tanking.

  17. hornonmyankle

I am for making a move if trade is not ridiculous. There are several teams I anticipate being worse than us next season reducing our lotto balls. Nets, Pistons, Hornets, Jazz and Blazers look terrible on paper. Hawks, Bulls, Raptors, Warriors and Grizzlies are in our talent range. Just don’t trade Spurs 2025 or Hawks 2025/2027 picks.

  18. Future_Network_2158

I think Danny ainge looked at the mikal bridges trade and is trying to replicate that. Problem is there aren’t many teams that have the assets to pull that off and the few that do aren’t desperate enough or they’re rebuilding. Maybe they make a shift and become buyers instead if ainge doesn’t get what he wants

  19. It would be great to get the Finn, but not if it’s a bidding war. A punch of picks and players we don’t need = ok. Bunch of picks and Sochan = maybe, maybe not. Picks and Vassell = no.

  20. bassetthound11

He’ll cost an arm and a leg. I like the fit, but no way he’s worth the haul we’d have to give up. We’ll be better this season and see what the trade market looks like next year. Maintain the long view
