Does a Lauri Markkanen trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?

year and then before that he actually played less games with the bulls so I feel like it’s not the team but all right he played for the Jazz I’d miss games too one thing I’ve noticed play under Mike Brown don’t miss a lot of games go get lorri now in all caps he’s the win now move fits the scoring side of Brown’s offense size at four like we need he’s the move for the Kings if we want to win a title he’s that piece not kma not any of these guys and my question to that because I I I I see a bit of that who’s playing defense I’m just gonna keep I I I know I’m the kid with his hand raised in class that no one wants to call on I understand that who’s playing defense it’s not Lori it’s not sabonis it’s Fox it’s Murray it’s the team that was 15th in the League last year and hopefully another year is better I I think that’s an upgrade defensively size oh I rebounding part of Defense I I don’t know that it’s not like it’s but it’s it’s like an upgrade from like Hydrox to Oreos like they’re very but they’re very similar okay I like you’re gonna have a seven-footer and a 610 guy on the front lines that’s great yeah but neither is your guy you’re your your your defensive dude like I worry about that Frontline defense I I I acknowledge yeah that and and by the way we’re assuming it’s Fox monks Fox monk Murray Could Be Fox Ellis Murray uhhuh if if true and now all of a sudden you’re you’re def itely I’m not worried about the back court defense okay I’m worried about the front Court well every player they’re linked to isn’t going to solve that yes that’s yes that is correct I agree with you there so tell me the player that solves that I don’t think you can do it I know what you’re asking for I don’t think it’s there ogan and Obi would have solved that can’t get him no I mean you’re saying solved again we’re talking about one player sabonis has some limitations like if you had OG on anobi that would help but you still have they still wouldn’t have Rim protection no they would not and the only way they’re going to get Rim I mean there’s two ways they get Rim protection number one move sabonis to the four and grab themselves a goal you know honestly you could you could and it can’t all be that if I wanted just you know RI protection which I acknowledge we need I’d go grab Clint capella for a dollar and put him at the five yeah that’s gonna that’s gonna help you I don’t know that you are so yeah I think there I mean I I think the contrast in all of these players the contrast I’m talking about is the positives and the negatives are and that’s always going to be the case but I feel like they’re it’s very obvious in a lot of these situations I think Markin in and Ingram are similar in the sense that I think both fits are pretty good I think the Markin in fit on a positive I think is really good I really like the fit as far as what he would mean a stretch big more size especially if you kept Keegan I could see a lot of the positives I think his contract today is a positive in the future it’s a negative um I think dealing with Danny a is a negative but I think there’s a lot of positives there I there are positives you’re a lot of them you now have a Bonafide second score um you can now stretch the floor with Fox whoever’s at the two obviously spacing that this team works on yeah you have four guys in your starting lineup likely even really honestly whether it’s it’s it’s Keon or monk you have four guys that can stretch the floor and then sabon just a bonus um it will help rebounding it’s a guy that averages damn near double double um even though you have the leading rebounder for the last couple years in the leading defensive rebounding team well what’s great though is that I don’t you know one thing about Markin and sabonis playing together is that they’re not going to occupy a lot of the same space like they’re not going to be D duplicative duplicitous duplicate it dud they’re not going to double up in the same part um Brook Lopez just you asked me for some names so I’m bringing it up Jared Allen I still love that fox and sabonis both got all defensive uh yeah votes by the way and I wouldn’t be surprised if Keegan did in the future jiren Jackson really wanted to see what jonte Murray would do on this team bring back Miles Turner well you think he could work with yes I think that’s totally overplayed they did fine they did just fine they can’t play together Jason exactly the other thing with Markin in is this again we talked about it earlier that you’re acquiring a max player if you get what you want right if you get that’s best case scenario is you give the max next year and he resigns with the Kings obviously there’s you know there’s that worry that you you’ve got Fox and sabonis right now uh you then move on you bring in marinan who will be great this year salary-wise um but then you’re going to have to give the max next year you’ll have three max guys plus you got to worry about Fox’s extension which will be Maxi Max and then you’re gonna have to get I is Keegan marur gonna be a max player in two years we hope so let let me put it this way you can’t you can’t say well you can’t count Keegan as a max player and also be dead set against trading him at all costs either you don’t want to trade him because of how good he’s going to be which means he’ll be a max player or you need to if if he’s got a ton of value you need to trade him right now I I tend to lean in the other side which is the way they throw out Maxes these days that keing and Murray if not a max player is GNA be a 2530 million a year player all right here’s a wh if for you who are your of the let’s give it kosma marinin LaVine Ingram those are the main four they’ve been linked to right y do you have two favorites your top two your rankings well I have I have one that’s easy um we’ll put the one who’s the one kma okay kma would be number one okay I honestly LaVine would be number two for me interesting because LaVine would be number two for me if he wasn’t locked up for three more years like if he was on yeah but everything that’s here right if he was on an expiring deal he would be so now it comes [Music] Ingram God dang it it’s between ingr and marinan and what’s giving me pause so I’m trying to just run through the gamut here they’re both going to be Max guys next year number one I think marinin fits more of a role on this team it just player for player marketing I think would be a significantly better acquisition than than than Brandon Ingram okay but now you know it’s like I’m assigning it’s like American Idol like I’m assigning a point total to each so like for contract they score you yeah the one that might push Ingram over the top again I don’t know is what is the c I believe marketing is going to cost significantly more than Ingram as far as trade as far as trade capital okay so I guess I should ask you the question so I was hoping you give me the two but let’s go with this thought yeah what if you could get two and it cost you Keegan if you could get two of those four I would do it yeah I would because I mean in your first one is kozman I don’t think that’s I mean that’s didn’t seem like whatever the offers were that that would be that but if that second player Was Keegan and obviously that would hurt but now all of a sudden if you had kman and Ingram kma and Mark Markin and whatever it is I’m arguing with myself now okay but it’s that if with that the caveat if Keegan was in play and you could get two of them worth it no okay I gotta argue against myself now I can’t go back I can’t sit here and say my major issue with these deals is who’s playing defense that’s one of your better Defenders price and young and you’re trading arguably your best defender if not top two okay for because now all of a sudden are we are we the Suns yeah are are we are we just a a a Great Value version of the Suns we don’t have Durant right and Booker but we’ve got fox and a bunch of guys that can score and rebound and that’s great yeah but they’re not the healthiest team and no one’s playing defense there’s no cohesion there’s no defensive cohesion Mike Brown can only do so much with the ingredients he has um that’s that’s where that’s where it’s now now look if if you were involving Keegan in a deal where um okay again this isn’t going to happen but let let me let me here here here’s a a way where I would be like okay so if it was like a combination of Barnes and Keegan but you were getting like Marcus Smart and jiren Jackson somehow okay okay now now we’re talking about something here now now we’re actually having a conversation where okay that might make sense and I by the way I don’t want to give up Keegan for anything but right um it’s not to throw it out
