Sounds like this was last off season in free agency. Before the latest round(s) of Draymond proving himself an asshat on and off the court. Thank God we dodged that.
It also seems more likely Draymond was using the threat of going to Memphis to get leverage in his negotiations with the Warriors. I doubt he really wanted to come here.

On tbe one hand I hate him more than anything else in the nba, on the other I’m still flattered. Even if he wasn’t *actually* gonna come here, he also mentioned the grizzlies in his car commercial or whatever and clearly has something of an affinity or soft spot for us. It may be the ugly bully girl that has a crush on you but hey at least someone had a crush on us and memphis doesn’t usually get suitors
